Hotel NH Valladolid Bálago

We were travelling back to the UK by ferry and needed an overnight stay. We choose the hotel for the location, they allow dogs and the price was good. We have stayed in many NH hotels over the past few years and always look for them. ||This hotel is more of a business hotel but ideal for a weekend stay.

Gonzales on reception was very friendly and helpful. I understand it’s a budget hotel, and the rooms are decent for the price, but they’re lacking a few amenities (eg no kettle for tea/coffee, no toothbrush or vanity kit, only paid water in the room etc). Breakfast though was very good.

I had a really nice stay at Hotel NH Valladolid Bálago. The staff were so friendly when we arrived, check in was quick and the room was spotless and very fresh. They had nice robes and slippers set up in the bathroom and just felt like everything was thought of.Good storage in the rooms for bags and clothes. The only thing I didn't love was the breakfast. Felt like it was lacking a lot. But other than that, amazing stay!

Very small room wanted €4 for a bottle of water. Charmless reception staff, one man even shouted at my husband for knocking something over when he did not, when the man realised my husband had nothing to do with it, he offered no apology. The breakfast was ok, not as good as other NH hotels I have stayed at and the room was so cold. Location is good.

NH hotels always maintain a high standard. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff very professional. The breakfast buffet is excellent and there were plenty of gluten free options.||It is a 15 minute walk from the centre.||

Rooms are good and clean. Location is outside the center of Valladolid and restaurants are not that close. The hotel restaurant is clos d from Friday - Sunday. Dogs are allowed but you have to sign several papers what is allowed and what not. Mainly, your dog is allowed to sleep in the room, nothing more. You are not allowed to bring him to the breakfast or restaurant. That is Ok, but you are not allowed to leave your dog alone in the room ... So how to manage this on case you are alone? If the dog bark, the are allowed to canc l your room, ... So really not dog friendly even if they are allowed. For is, this is not the right hotel. In case you are without dog and except to drive to the city center the hotel could be OK for you.

The location is 20minutes walking from the centre. The furniture was rather tired. The bathroom was nice and clean. I made a complain because there was a label of the mattress with a chewing gum stuck in it in between the Nordic and the sheet and I got a fright in the middle of the night thinking it was something else. The receptionist apologized but that was it
