Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying in this Art project turned hotel recently. The architecture is quite something, as are many buildings in Amsterdam. Our group of 50 booked it out, and the entire hotel is quite beautiful. Centrally located across from the Convention Center and near the Metro, we found it very convenient for our four day stay.
The staff were friendly, and efficient checking our group in on the second floor; brilliant. The rooms are interesting: long hallway into a room with two single beds right next to one another. There were two of us (women) and it was a bit cozy.
There are many amenities: including a lovely espresso machine to start the day before you head up to the 17th floor, gorgeous view for a spectacular breakfast buffet. The staff are very friendly, but if you don't tell them while you are away from the table gathering more goodies they will clear your table in a blink. Happened to me twice, before I got wise.
The buffet includes everything you could hope or imagine for breakfast
which is my favorite meal of the day. A waffle bar, granola bar, glass shelves display of charcuterie, English breakfast complete with scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes and sausages. Two capuchino stations, one completely plant based, and you can make as many as you like. If you prefer to take food with you, that is an option as well.
The hotel has a restaurant, and a lovely bar. Food at the restaurant has a limited menu but there are many eateries near by to choose from for dinner.
My only comment to improve my stay I would have liked to have had a luggage rack as my large suitcase had to go on the floor. This is a boutique hotel I don't think most of their guests bring a great deal of luggage.
The bathroom was beautiful with a raindrop shower in a wonderful glass enclosed area. You need to utilize the door to the hallway if you want to keep the water in the shower. Lots of warm comfy towels are available if you ask for them. There is also a towel warmer on the wall. Nice touch.
I am not completely sure how this hotel compares price wise with others but its uniqueness in decor makes it stand out.
For artist enthusiasts be sure to check out the second floor; lots of places to sit and enjoy your stay while enjoying the decor.
