Hotel Nia, Autograph Collection (Silicon Valley, California) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Hotel Nia sits in Menlo Park Gateway, a functional base for Silicon Valley business travelers who prefer structure over flash. Rooms prioritize tech-friendly practicality: smart controls, ergonomic workspaces, rain showers built for decompression after long meetings. Porta Blu serves coastal European and Mediterranean cooking in a dining room softened by greenery, while the lobby café pours Verve, a local Santa Cruz roaster. An outdoor pool and garden courtyard offer quieter moments between conference calls. It is hospitality calibrated for the Peninsula's working rhythm, where efficiency and comfort matter more than spectacle." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Nia was so beautiful and the staff made the trip. Sanchez started off our trip wonderfully, checking us in with ease and kindness. The hotel is so clean and the room are breath taking. Great views of Menlo Park and right next to many different shopping areas. Their hot tub is amazing with a waterfall. We got breakfast in the morning and it was beautifully presented and very yummy! Highly recommend staying here!

I took my wife here for her birthday and it absolutely delivered. The room was stunning, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with a modern, subtly futuristic feel that made it feel special without being over the top. Everything felt intentional, clean, and high quality, the kind of room you actually want to slow down and enjoy and take in.||The pool area was a highlight, heated pool, hot tub, and waterfall features made it feel relaxing and upscale, especially in the evening. It truly felt like a getaway without leaving the Bay Area. It was the perfect setting for a birthday stay. ||Also, incredible customer service from top to bottom, easily one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve had. We left already talking about when we’d come back.||Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a well deserved reset.

Had a great very quick stay. Service was wonderful. They helped make sure we had breakfast ready to go for an early departure. Nice rooms. Would absolutely stay again!

I want to highlight the outstanding service we received from Fernando during our check-in at Hotel Nia. He went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s needs, making sure we had a room with a bathtub and arranging a rollaway bed without any hesitation. His professionalism, warm attitude, and attention to detail truly made our stay special—especially since we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Thanks to Fernando, the experience was smooth, welcoming, and memorable. The hotel itself was wonderful as well—the beds are incredibly comfortable, which made relaxing after a long day easy. We genuinely appreciate the exceptional service and will definitely return!

Google
Its nice, the garden is amazing. Good gym, nice pool, food menu is business based as well as location. The pool menu isnt correct on the website unfortunately. Rooms are cool and spacious. I would recommend forsure as family upgrade spot, a business stay or a relaxing day by the pool with some tasty options for lunch.

I'm writing this based on several stays at Hotel Nia. First some positive points:||- The rooms are generally spacious and well appointed.|- Beds are comfortable|- Wifi works well|- Public areas are generally nice||But there are a few significant negatives:||- First and by far most important, the HVAC in the rooms is absolutely terrible. The fan is very noisy, and cycles on and off in 2 minute cycles, so without a white noise machine it is impossible to sleep. The thermostat also ignores the setting you give it, treating it as general guidance; over a period of hours it will get to the setting if it doesn't cycle off first because the motion detector is not triggered. And the vents were pointed directly at the bed, amplifying the disruptive effect every time it cycled on and off.|- The location is also terrible if you're not here for business. It is located in an office park with nothing in walking distance. If you are extending a business trip I would not stay here.|- It is often a really bad value with rates over $600/night for a mediocre overall experience.|- Service in the restaurant is very, very slow. Breakfast can take an hour for a simple order.||I would stay here if the location and rates are right for you, but be forewarned that there are significant negatives.

We had an odd time trying to find a hotel of the weekend of 8/1-8/3 and settled on Hotel Nia. I have several benefits with my credit card when I travel, and this hotel was part of the Amex benefits. The hotel has valet parking at $40 per day and there is no self park option. There is a restaurant on site, however if you are traveling with a family with an average 6 and 8 year old we were hard pressed to find something on the dinner menu that was going to be worth spending the $$ to feed them. There is a cute local food area that served amazing pizza, and a bakery that made The hotel is nice, hip as you would expect for the area. They have some fire pits in the evening and plenty of outside seating in the courtyard that is very nice. The pool is heated, and plenty of seating. All in all an as you expect visit to any Marriot Sheraton (which we have stayed out and always enjoyed ourselves) property. This one was on par with that, but uncharged without any additional features. ||My first surprise is that the valet service is not part of the hotel, so the hotel credits that are provided are not able to cover parking. They end up being credits for food since the are no additional services offered at this hotel.||My disappointment really is with the food service area. Our Amex benefit covered breakfast for 2. No disclaimers were provided at the time of check in, and there is not a limit, or have ever been a limit on the breakfast that we have received at other hotels. We ordered two entrees and two regular coffees, and two items off of the kids menu (with the expectation to pay for the kids items). After 45 min, three of our items arrive, we have no flatware, our coffees we had to go and ask someone for, and never got a refill. One of the items my kid ordered (ham and cheese omelette) just came out as scrambled eggs and toast, no butter and no jam. My husband watched us eat and after they cleared the plates my husbands meal arrived. ||My husband was not amused and didn't want to eat at the restaurant the following day, even though it was "covered". The following day I go down with my kids, and we decided that we would just order two meals and share. We are sat down in an odd area that is walled in on two sides between two larger dining areas, and have to ask after waiting for 15 min. if someone is going to take our order. The server was surprised we were there. We have our order taken, two entrees and nothing else. Since my kids didn't enjoy the meal the first day we walk over to the cafe and are going to use our $100 hotel credit. We get some pastries, two to-go sandwiches for the roak, a fruit cup and three coffees. We close out the bill it comes just under the $100 hotel credit. We go back, the kids start eating, and eventually our food arrives. We eat, we sign our check and we go to check out. ||I ask the person checking me out if my credits have applied as expected, I am told yes, I am not shown folio, but I swipe my card (my fault) with the expectation that I am just paying for the valet. I ask for the receipt, and see that I have been charged $161 for food. Turns out that the breakfast credits were not applied. I was told they see the credits, and will fix it later. I get a new folio emailed to me and the breakfast credit has been reveres. I check my credit card and I have an additional charge of $78. The next day I call and ask for this to be fixed. I am assured it will get fix. A week later I still have the charges, I call and a new person who was very nice hand calculated my charges and my credits and found that I should have only paid for valet, and a $40 left over on my breakfast charges. She has assured me the hotel will credit back the over charges. I'll follow up here if that occurs||The hotel is now saying that a complimentary breakfast for 2 is limited to $60 per day. Which would be reasonable anywhere else, but the least expensive item on the menu is $30 and a black coffee is $6, so even if you ordered the least expensive item and a coffee the breakfast will never be complementary.

Google
Super new and clean hotel, amazing indoor green area with pool (heated) - although music was extremely loud and kids were jumping into water without anybody telling them anything, the rooms were very nice (comfy beds) - the killer was the AC though (it was either on - blowing full power or off, the automatic was going on and off every 3 minutes without any kind of smart tolerance to overswing, imagine to sleep either with an airplane engine in your face or an on/off engine starting every couple of minutes). Breakfast was fresh and tasty - but sooooo slow, so few guests but we never managed to get the food within 1 hour. Lastly we had 5 large luggages, there were 3 colleagues waiting downstairs but nobody was interested to help - neither the unloading nor the loading. So they watched me do it by myself - awkward. Overall - given how modern and clean it was and how great the location was (proximity to everything important) - I would choose it again but only if really good price. Just the service needs urgent improvement

Yelp
I had the best birthday weekend at Hotel Nia! All of the staff were amazing! They even upgraded my room for my birthday, birthday cupcakes when i arrived and gave me a birthday voucher. We will be back for sure. Perfect staycation getaway!

Yelp
I booked a little weekend getaway for my family. I was hoping something less crowded and a heated pool for my son to swim in (since the weather was getting colder) and this was the perfect location. It is a little out of the way from restaurants and downtown. You would need a car to get around (nothing to walk to) and they only have valet parking. But I had an great time here and my family did as well. Amenities: Outdoor pool - definitely our favorite amenity here. The pool was heated and perfect for some family fun and my little one to play to their hearts content. And they had a little hot tub perfect for me to recovery. Gym: not an bad gym. They have a peloton bike there which was cool. I wish they had more leg/lower body machines - they only had one. but they had the standard free weights, treadmills, and other equipment. Restaurant: I came here for breakfast both days and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not always a fan of hotel restaurants, but they surprised me here. Breakfast burrito: huge! this was very filling. the only thing I didn't quite like was the sauce in the burrito. I wish i knew to ask for it on the side. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: delicious! my son's favorite dish here. Not too tart and perfectly sweet. paired perfectly with the fruit. Steak Hash: I wish they had crispy potatoes with the steak, but overall the steak was very tender and juicy. I think this was my favorite dish. Service: All the staff members I've interacted with was very professional and friendly. I felt like royalty here which was a great feeling. Overall: I would definitely com back and would recommend to others as well. I think this place is perfect if you need a weekend getaway to focus on work.

Yelp
Freddie at Hotel NIA was outstanding. I stopped by to see my nephew and to spend time with friends and family, (all of who were staying at Hotel NIA) and Freddie made the entire experience even better. His energy was great, and he was incredibly accommodating and professional throughout our visit. I would've been remiss not to acknowledge the level of service he provided. Freddie is a true asset to Hotel NIA. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We booked this hotel via American Express travel, autograph collection. Parking: Valet only in and out privileges $40/night. When we arrived, there's 3 valet people there, but they all looked confused. There's 2 ladies still waiting for their car, dont know how they were waiting. Then, we have to ask for help for them to actually come to us to help valet our car. Ps: they do everything via text to your phone number. It says valet is from 6:30am-11pm. So we asked the receptionist, she said if you need before, just let them know in advance. They will bring and park the car in the front, and get the key with receptionist. Same if you need service after 11pm, just park the car outside and give the key to the receptionist. As promised by amex, we got our: Must book your hotel via Amex travel, and pay with your amex card. - early check in - late check out 2pm or after if needed - room upgrade - $250 dining spa credit - daily breakfast for 2 $30/person Complimentary: They give you Complimentary bottle water everyday, and if you need more, there's plenty in the gym. Pool: So many kids and family were there. So kinda loud.we didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool. You need a your keycard to get in. Gym: Standard machine. Some stained towels that were not sanitary for us. Restaurants: Breakfast: All food are amazing. We have to admit that. Since we've been getting our complimentary breakfast there, the food are very good considering. In 3 days, we had the steak burrito, side fruits, side bacon, side sour dough w jam and butter, coffee w almond milk, French toast which is the most fluffiest pancake I ever have. Then we also have acai Bowl, grapefruit juice, and avocado toast w smoked salmon. Delicious. And the evening at lounge, we had: Espresso martini Chantilly cake. The cake was ok, kinda too dense and sweet. On the last day, since we still have some credit for food and beverages, we decided to get some pastry from their cafe to go. They did not bake the pastry themselves for sure, because they took them out of a box when they refill the display. The only one issue we have was: The service is super slow from the restaurant to car valet. The ppl in restaurant keep talking among themselves while all the guests kept trying to get their attention.

Yelp
What a wonderful place, amazing service, amenities and vibe. We came we ate , relaxed, and had an amazing time. Cant wait to come back. We only live across the road and decided to just hang out here for the night! The staff is so helpful and friendly! Food in the restaurant was excellent! They greeted us with champagne, gave us drink vouchers. Upgraded our room to the 10th floor! Could not ask for a better experience. We swam in the heated pool and soaked in the jacuzzi. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Horrible front desk service - room was not ready when we arrived at 6pm they wanted us to sit around and wait, did not recognize my over 10 year Bonvoy status, many broken items in room including, mirror, bathroom lights, broken curtain pulls, broken gym equipment, blood on robes and towels, bed was like a cheap pull out couch sleeper, windows were so dirty you couldn't enjoy the view, I asked to use a microwave since my wife is a Type 1 Diabetic and needed special food and front desk said no it was a liability then contradicted themselves by also mentioning they let guests use the microwave during non business hours, for an Autograph level hotel Very Disappointed !

Gaz B.

Yelp
Disappointing experience with the front desk. The staff was unhelpful and dismissive, and basic questions were met with a lack of attention. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better customer service.

Yelp
So our first interaction was with the valet. The guys were very respectful and accommodating. We met the manager for the valet as well who very well dressed and poised. He advised us of the $40 valet fee which I was already aware of and as he reminded us of making sure to gather all or valuables they went and parked my car already and I totally forgot my other phone in the car and I just texted them and they happily grabbed my phone from my car and gave it to me in the hotel. They actually open car doors for you as well as the hotel doors. Very professional guys. Thank you. Upon entering the hotel, there is this just amazing sweet smell in the lobby. My check in was smooth, they did automatically upgrade me cause of my gold status but I asked to stay in the same room I booked since the balcony didn't have the bathtub I wanted. We got a corner king room with the bath tub. This is not specified on the name of the room but just look at the description of the room so that you get the one with the bath tub specifically. The room we got was gorgeous. It was clean, it smelled good, you had a fridge you can actually use. They provide you with water, and nice glassware. The blinds by the bathtub would not open, so we called it in and the technician came and replaced the battery and all was well. This hotel is definitely in the middle range price wise but I think it was well worth it. Their heated pool and jacuzzi looked nice as well but we didnt try it. The restaurant here is good but I will do a separate yelp review for them.

Yelp
5 stars for the hotel rooms, ambience, heated pool, jacuzzi, and customer service. One star off because their onsite restaurant has a horrible kids menu and the food options even for adults are limited and overpriced the taste of the dishes is not worth the price. The deserts were surprisingly better. I use this hotel for staycations with the kids since my kids love the heated pool. I just wish the food options were more family friendly. Overall love the hotel just pack snacks or get take out for kids.

Yelp
If you have to stay here, you have to eat here and that's the sad part about this Hotel I had probably the worst food experience I've ever had anywhere in 50 years the food would rate a D -!!! The notches, I'm sure they grabbed a handful of notches out of a 5 pound bag, thick, an hard, gross nacho chips, sprinkled with cilantro, onions, and the tomatoes you can tell how old they were old. It was supposed to be a pot roast type meat on top of it. It was so bad. The elegance of a few slices of avocado on top was a joke. I've never experienced anything like this before! You would be better off taking an Uber to Celia's and for happy hour he can get a $3.50 assortment of delicious Mexican food! Then we had the lobster rolls they were so over salted to try to add flavor so much salt I couldn't finish it ! I'm sure it probably wasn't real lobster Or canned? Would never eat in this Restaurant Hotel again. We had a Manhattans cocktail the garnish is a cherry they should be secure they throw the cherry in the bottom of the glass. It's part of the elegance of having a Manhattan a $22 cocktail so you have to fish the cherry out of the bottom of the glass it's not acceptable. If you would like a good experience go to Stanford Park Hotel it's like night and day. It's about a mile away on El Camino Real in Palo Alto food is A+ plus service is A+ cocktails are A+ environment is A+ and you can park on your own if you'd like environment is A+ I had to try this Hotel Nia but will never to go back!! The staff is very friendly!! They should get chef Ramsey!! It's really sad if you have to stay there, you have to have food to be subjected to. This is disgusting.!!!

Yelp
Sure it's luxury stile set up, the decorations are very impressive from the lobby to the room. But the walls are very thin, the doors are heavy when they close, it shuts loud. Pros: comfortable bed maximized space for the room High end toiletries as far as shampoo, conditioner and soap ( smells amazing) Parking is available Cons: parking available but for a fee Door shuts loud Walls are very thin Bottom line, we had a sleepless stay. We asked if they can put us somewhere where we don't have much of traffic or neighbors yet the person next to us had someone that kept coming in and out so we heard every movement.

Yelp
Wow this is a gorgeous Marriott hotel. I've stayed at a lot of Marriotts around the Bay Area and this one is head and shoulders above. The hotel is modern and Instagram-worthy everywhere. The rooms are spacious enough and the decor is very design-centric. They have also thought through the nightstands and lights. The swimming pool is generously spacious and I can see why people would pay to rent it out. Location wise, it's next to the Meta headquarters where much of their patrons are probably here for and also able to expense the insane rates.

Yelp
We've stayed at Hotel Nia more times than I can count during summer weekends, and every visit has been nothing short of wonderful. The rooms, restaurant, pool, and gym are always spotless and well taken care of. What really keeps us coming back is the incredible hospitality. The staff here genuinely go above and beyond. The valet team always hands us cold water as we leave, the front desk is always kind and accommodating, and the bartenders are quick and make great drinks. Even the security at the pool was super nice and fun to talk to! There's usually someone walking around just checking in to make sure guests are doing okay, which we've always appreciated. During one of the pool party weekends, the hotel handed out ice cream bars to everyone by the pool. We thought that was so cool! My daughter still talks about that day! It's thoughtful, personal touches like these that have made such a lasting impression on our family. We've recommended Hotel Nia to so many of our friends and family, and will continue to do so. Thank you again for making each stay so special!!

Yelp
Exquisite and relaxing hotel. Every part of our stay was so luxurious, from the mattress quality, to the decor, to amenities, and to the fitness and pool facilities. We can't wait to come back here; we hear that it's popular in the summer!

Yelp
We had an excellent weekend staycation here! We live in San Francisco and came down for some sun and pool time with our 6 year old daughter. The pool was fantastic. It was spacious and heated, and we appreciated the poolside bar and food service. The staff was friendly and competent. The drinks and food were pretty good as well. Our daughter loved the poolside DJ and popsicles on Saturday afternoon. The complimentary sodas and snacks on Saturday were a nice touch as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and both were good - reasonably tasty and quite convenient. Our room was modern, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Overall, this was an awesome place for our little weekend getaway!

Yelp
My husband and I chose this hotel for our baby moon. After doing research, we also found that there was no parking lot...only valet parking available. I checked in on my Marriott app and added the valet parking for $37. We showed up to the hotel and there was a sign saying that valet was $40. It's a $3 difference, but they should really fix that on their app. Anyway, the valet attendants were friendly. Although we saw they were working hard and no one was tipping them, we did! They seemed really appreciative. We walked into the lobby and were not greeted by front desk. BIG TURN OFF especially for a highly rated hotel. We finally checked in and the guy gave us our room keys. He didn't give us any other direction such as where the elevators were, etc. Every time we left or arrived, we passed front desk with no acknowledgement. They just interacted with each other and laughed with each other and would look busy when a customer passes by. You would even stand in line and they would act busy on their computer with no acknowledgement. We purchased coffee at Verve. They could not make 3 of their speciality drinks on menu because they were out of the ingredients such as pistachio, red velvet and ube.....Their large size is the size of a regular drink. The heated pool was great. They had free water, which was a plus on a hot day. My husband and I loved the court yard. It was very relaxing. During check out, there was only one person in the front. There was a line of about 5 people. We waited 15 minutes just for the front desk to say "thank you for staying with us". She was also handling check ins which takes 5+ minutes per customer. Not sure why there was only one person in the front during a "busy" time which is check out time.

Yelp
made a reservation for my husband and myself today Saturday night as we attended a concert and wanted to ensure we did not drive after drinking. We arrived at the hotel at 1:45 AM, but the front desk attendant, Gladys Kaea, informed me that we could not be able to check in. Despite having prepaid $380 for our stay, she denied us access and suggested we call the 1800 customer service phone number & we drive home to San Ramon. This has been the most disappointing customer service experience I have encountered. I do not understand how a hotel can refuse service to clients who have already paid. I intended to stay for only 10 hours, yet I was unable to check in. The customer service provided was inadequate, as I was instructed to call the 1-800 number as mentioned for a refund. This situation is very disheartening, and I do not plan to return to this hotel in the future. The night auditor was not friendly at all, and did not provide any help. To pay almost $400 for one night and be treated this way is just unacceptable.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to stay. Very fancy. My cousin had her wedding reception here and it was beautiful. The beds were so comfortable. Staff were so friendly. The reception hall was huge beautifully decorated. Cocktail and hor dourves were tasty. Open bar. Nice pool area. Valet parking only $40 for overnight $30 for the day. You can park on the street nearby for $0 but valeting is suggested.

Yelp
This is a very nice Marriott Autograph collection hotel, which means it's a bit quirky and has it's own style in addition to being one of their more upscale properties. The rooms are large and nice with nice views across the valley either of the bay and mountains or the valley and mountains. The only real downside is that it's very pricey. I stay here for work because it's literally on top of work and saves me from having to rent a car or commute while I'm out here. Beyond that the rooms are nice with good views, plenty of space, and comfortable beds. As I said before, the place is a bit quirky. For example, the sink faucets open by pushing down a lever on the side and then you control hot and cold by rotating it forward and backward and the bathroom mirror has a weird light-up art deco design across the top. It's grown on me, but definitely a bit weird. The shower soap, shampoo and conditioner is in the push to dispense containers on the wall of the shower, which doesn't bother me, but does feel out of place in someplace this upscale. The other amenities are nice, the Keurig coffee maker is better than most hotels, they give actual liquid creamer for the coffee, etc. Beyond that the, bar and restaurant (Porta Blu, which is it's own Yelp listing) is actually very good. I wind up eating dinner here most nights while I'm here and even when I have dinner 3-4 nights in a week, I'm able to eat pretty healthily, with different things and they're all yummy. The restaurant has seating in the hotel courtyard which takes advantage of the fantastic South Bay weather. There's also a pool that looks nice, but I've never used. The only downside is that the place is expensive. Rooms are typically $600/night and $450 when I'm booking them for work. Fortunately, that slides under the cap for rooms and work pays. I don't think I'd be willing to pay that much money out of pocket.

Yelp
Referencing attached photo, uuuuuuh, not sure about these guest desks in the elevator area. I mean could there be improvements ergonomically? I'd say the desks are a little high? What's that saying measure twice cut once ;-) In all seriousness, here's the real review: I'm on day 3 of my stay here as I write and I'm pleasantly surprised by the feeling of tranquility I wake up with today. There are some downsides but for an ambiance like this, it's unobjectionable.   Case in point: spent the day in pool area editing a music vid for poison sky and waiting for David M who was at a stanford management conference getting skooo'd. can't be hanging around a garden with my service dog and also being productive! Here's a quick list of ups and downs Negatives: * Can't think of many. Walk ability is terrible and I'm a local parks close the gates at sundown. They are also not pet friendly at these parks TV situation is bad. I was never able to plug-in to the room monitor using an HDMI cable and be able to see anything. In addition, none of the YouTube linking mechanisms that the TV says that it has ever worked. I would just get nondescript errors like "something went wrong" on my device when I tried to activate the TV. no biggie. Although you can probably request one there's no microwave in room generally. For a vegan traveler, like me, place is minimally accommodating, and the restaurant inside does not seem to directly offer us, the rabbit food that we desire. I mean I guess I see now why they call it an impossible burger! I mean, Ciche, impossible is headquartered here in Redwood City and everything negatives: 0. my biggest complaint is that there is this big 8 foot LED backlit mirror gizmo (pictured) right at the entrance that makes a big clicking noise when it goes from being cold to hot or hot to cool as it warms up. this kid kept me up for about 45 minutes after turning out the lights the first night I was here. Turn off the lights very early. If you are sensitive to random popping sounds. I did send an electrician up to look at it, but he said this behavior was normal, and that my complaint was nothing-burger. (nit his exact words) 1. Hotel WiFI is fast but it requires putting in the room number and guest name. Multiple times every day. That's a little frustrating but I get it. you hate the internet. 2. You can get $37 per day valet parking and the only other option is a parking lot that is barely any cheaper and it's way up the road. So make sure you have an expense account that allows for $1000 or more per stay because costs add up! 3. Walking distance to restaurants & shops not great but at least there's a Market about 3/4 of a mile from the hotel. Positives: 0. Internet is fast: 15Mbit down at last test 1. Very friendly and accommodating staff! 2. complete tranquility can be had in the pool and garden area. 3. jacuzzi is excellent perfect temp. 4. the infinity pool is clutch! Overall its a pleasant place to stay. Bring some cold brew coffee and some cold drinks and put em in a fridge. Verve coffee shop on premises is nice too. The accommodations here have the potential to give you a contented stay.

Yelp
There's a lot to say about hotel Nia. Booking last minute was great as our power was out for about 4 days with the storms this last week. I called to book a room and they were extremely friendly and helpful and forgot me booked right away. The freeway had been shut down due to an accident or something of that nature and I decided to let street traffic die down prior to going to the hotel. Also they are dog friendly and that was a big selling point in booking a room! Anyway as I arrived to check in they had given my room away and upgraded me to the presidential suite. THIS WAS INSANE! What luck. The room is beautiful; and obviously out of my price range, but wow oh wow I lucked out. Hotel staff was super sweet even though they were so slammed. Everyone without power came to them and it was a mad house. Rooms full, staff pulled in a million directions I can only image how tough things were for them! They didn't faultier at all in their service. This establishment is beautiful and I'll definitely be back' even if just a night away from the kids.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff. No soap in bathroom had to go in the shower to retrieve whenever hand soap needed. Phone to front desk never picked up for help to address these things. Room was never made by housekeeping or new towels or anything despite multiple calls requesting service. Avoid this place.

Yelp
Clean room. Nice design and decor. It was a great stay. Front lobby receptionist was friendly. Though, wish it had self parking rather than valet as the valet person drove our car a bit fast.

Yelp
My at the front desk is amazing!! We asked for a recommendation for a nightclub nearby, she wrote out an entire list detailing the distance and how well she thought that we would like it. She is amazing!

Yelp
Fabulous hotel. I stayed I a corner king and it was great. Don't skip out on the pool area really a great hidden gem.

Yelp
GREAT GREAT classy hotel. Amazing front desk (kudos to Gem!) status feels valued and honored (upgrades and breakfast) highly recommend and if you're not too close, worth the extra drive for the value! Worth every penny. Great food also!

Yelp
Its always a pleasant staying here at Hotel Nia. Front desk are always nice. This is our favorite hotel since before pandemic there were few changes but its for the better. They have security now to enter the pool so nobody can just use their pool. No more welcome champagne and their signature chocolate :(. The rooms and pool still the best!

Yelp
This hotel will not care about you. I had a stay where my son was electrocuted. He went to turn the light on and was shocked by an exposed wire. See picture. I reported it to the hotel manager, Alvaro Ghisays. Alvaro said to speak with the hotel director, Fred Kleisner. Fred said he was going on vacation. Fred transferred me to Daniel Lund. Daniel didn't understand why I was referred to him. Daniel gave me the contact for Eric Whitener. In short, there's no accountability here. In addition, our checking-in was long and complicated. The person was responding to the messages on her phone. The pool was messy. Broken glass on the floor. No towels were available for use. The room has signs of use and age. On the outside hotel, it looks wonderful. On the inside, it's not well-kept and underperforms. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
Came for Mother's had so much fun hotel is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. The pool area is really nice and has cabanas, no reservations needed. I've been telling everyone I know about this place.

Yelp
First time here and let me tell you, the customer service we received from Oscar in Banquets was above and beyond our expectation. He really bailed us out, with a smile and exceptional customer service, it was evident the pride and happiness he exudes from his job and the hotel. We greatly appreciated his help!! 10/10

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! Great service and relaxing pool. Wonderful staff. Room is spacious and the restaurant in-house, Porta Blue is great! Great perks if you are platinum Bonvoy as well.

Yelp
I'd only had the opportunity to have brunch here which was served by their cafe. Their restaurant was closed during the time we had come in so we were left with coffee bar (which is also located in the lobby). They had a few selections like avocado toast and Belgian waffle. What I truly liked is that they serve Verve brand coffee (roasted locally in Santa Cruz if I'm correct) and it's phenomenal. Great quality. Ordered a small vanilla latte along with the belgian waffle. The waffle was pretty with delicate edible flowers sprinkled on it and a generous dollop of whipped cream. I only wish they had more to offer but it definitely was enough to keep us satiated cause we'd been driving around looking for a place to eat without the hassle of waiting 45mins to an hour to be seated. Their service was also very friendly and accommodating as they did sense our disappointment when we realized that their hotel restaurant was closed. "Thank you, cafe staff for making our visit pleasant." (Our visit took place on Sunday, Sept 26)

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 nights for work as it is located adjacent to the Meta Campus. My non-scientific observation is that most of the people staying there were doing business with, or working for Meta. I got in late night and the check-in process was easy. I did have a problem with my mobile key as it did not work on my room door, so I had to trek back to the front desk to get a physical key. I was upgraded to an end room with a balcony since I am Platinum Marriott. The rooms are modern and well-appointed. There was a lounge chair, a large TV, and the bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower and separate toilet area. The toiletries were in pumps on the wall in the shower so easy to access. The closet had a cool see-through orange door and there were electronic "sleep-not sleeping" indicators outside your door that you controlled with a switch. The grounds were high end with the heated pool and cabana area that felt like a resort. I also got free breakfast that was made to order form a menu in the cafe area. We spent some time in the bar every night I was there and the crowd was lively. They did close early (11pm I think?) and I remember thinking it was weird or a miss on their part because there were still so many people wanting to hang out and they could have made more money. I look forward to staying here again on my future trips to Menlo Park!

Yelp
Very nice, but pretentious, patronizing, and expensive. Valet parking only. They pretend not to know about the public parking garage down the street. Or the free shuttle from the train station.

Yelp
I had came to hotel NIA for a conference. Though I pass this location on the way to work daily I had heard of known about this hotel until my conference. The lobby is beautiful and clean it has a very unique decor inside. After you walk pass the lobby there is a beautiful garden where there is a restaurant and swimming pool. Very relaxing feel. The conference paid for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was nothing special. They had yogurt, hot tea, fruit and nuts. For lunch they served chicken sandwiches, avocado toast. Lunch was better than breakfast. Overall, I believe it was a nice place for a conference. However, what made me really upset was the parking. There is no self parking option. The parking is $30 dollars. It has to be valet parking. When you check out on the app on your cell phone they charge you an extra $2. I added $5 tip for them to get my car. You are basically spending close to $40 just parking your car Why ? I have no idea. It is pretty pricey to park your car. I just really hate places that take advantage of every little thing.

Yelp
A spectacular, modern hotel experience. I was very impressed by the highly professional staff, the beautiful guest rooms and the attention to details provided throughout our 2-day, 100+ person conference here in December 2019.. The common areas throughout the property are replete with ample seating and meeting areas for you and your working groups, and the conference rooms are spacious and well-suited for large presentations. The guest rooms are absolutely wonderful--modern, clean and spacious. Too many subtle yet thoughtful amenities throughout the room to mention--rest assured you'll like the rooms ... a lot. Enjoy!

Yelp
A couple of bumps during check-in: aggressive valet, electronic door lock was dead & the in room phone was dead+malfunctioning, no engineer on-site, dry cleaning/laundry services not available on Sunday, lots of kids running around lobby. BUT the customer service was superb. The in-room dining menu is tasteful, allergen friendly, & did not use the standard cheaper condiments. The Steak Frites dinner w/sorbet dinner was fair. Beef was cooked to temp, but the flavor was lacking, fries undercooked, & plate-ware smelled like dishwater. Presentation was nice & delivery staff wore a face mask. The room should include a minibar at this price point & minimum 1 operational window for fresh air, but everything else inside was satisfactory. very enjoyable shower/tub combinations, but the shower head & pipe design is awkward for anyone vertical-challenged. Overall a modern, clean, & comfortable stay. Willing to give it another shot in a different configuration.

Yelp
Stayed Oct 2021. This hotel is very nice and the property itself appears new. If it was in a different location I would have given it 4+ starts. Here are the cons: - parking: there was some parking on the side of the hotel, but the majority of the parking is in a garage behind the building. There is no back entrance to the hotel so you have to walk around the building to the front entrance to get in after parking your car. There was no security, so when parking at night it can be a little scary. -no restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is basically in the middle of a business park.

Yelp
Beautiful property and clean room! I love the creative decor and vibe. Location is nice and not a busy area. If you have a car this place is close to many local restaurants. Parking is next door but doesn't connect to hotel. Gym was clean and sanitized. Front desk is kind but not always visually present. Just waited patiently and they appeared. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
I don't like giving 1 star reviews especially in the middle of a pandemic. But this is warranted because this hotel is not taking adequate steps to ensure everyone's safety, especially their guests. I don't recommend anyone stay here during the pandemic unless they start enforcing masks in common areas indoors. The majority of guests weren't wearing masks because they are not requiring guests to wear them. Stay somewhere else that's safe and cares about your health. This is the 7 or 8th hotel I've stayed in during the pandemic and every single hotel I visited required masks EXCEPT for this hotel. Sorry, you guys have permanently lost my business. I can't believe you would put your guests health in danger by not enforcing the CA mandate in your business. Horrible! Don't recommend and never coming here again. Also, NEWS flash - Masks are effective in preventing the spread against Covid-19. If you still don't agree, then maybe go back to school to educate yourself. I have a very close family member who was infected with covid because they weren't required to wear masks and several employees got infected. Maybe think about requiring masks for not only your employees but your guests too.

Yelp
Outstanding brand new hotel that is the best in Menlo Park. Close to Facebook, Instagram, Standford, and everything else. This place is super nice, but not stuffy at all. There is valet parking only, on site restaurants and bars, friendly staff, the most beautifuly landscaped outdoor pool and sitting area for miles, and a really comfy and funky hotel room. The beds are low to the ground and very comfortable, the shower is outstanding, the colors and interior decoration are cutting edge. There is even a orange semi-clear door for the closets that match the orange drinking glasses in the bedroom. I actually prefer this over the Four Seasons down the road.

Yelp
Read this review if you want to be convinced that Hotel Nia should absolutely be your hotel of choice when you stay in the Menlo/Palo Alto/Redwood city area. I just finished an 8-night stay at the Nia for a huge work conference my experience here solidified where I'll be staying for all trips to Menlo Park moving forward. Bar/lounge/ restaurant: Ayer the steak tips, salmon, and squid ink pasta. Every one of these dishes blew my effing mind, especially the pasta. Those evenings, I was so glad I decided to eat at the hotel vs. elsewhere. The staff was super attentive and I remember Adam and Sophia most. Adam is an expert in his craft and made incredible drinks every time I or any of my coworkers stopped by the bar. One evening, I gave him two ingredients: bourbon and egg white. He whipped together a concoction that I ended up drinking for the rest of my time there and urged the rest of my coworkers to order as well (which they did and loved!). Sophia was super attentive, kind at all times, and always brought positive energy to the room and everyone she interacted with. The two of them, along with the rest of the staff, really made everyone feel part of a welcomed community. They collectively represent this establishment super well. You really can't have a better duo in the your lines. I don't think I've ever consistently tipped so high after every drink and meal. We brought around 50 people back to the Nia each night after our events for drinks and food and things really picked up for the staff. Even with the surge, things seemed to run buttery smooth. In those moments, you were able to see that Rami and Elizabeth (restaurant managers) ran a well oiled machine. Look and feel: the vibes of this hotel are a class above many many other top tier hotels in the area. The interior is gorgeous and screams smart, modern design. The outdoor grounds were absolutely stunning and well kept. Also, there was a ton of seating and standing space. It was the perfect place to bring everyone for drinks after our events. Rooms and cleanliness: the rooms were small but cute. I've been to about 20-30 hotels over the past year for work and personal travel, and I have never seen the level cleanliness I saw during my stay at the Nia. Not a single spec of dust, not a single strand of hair. Nothing that gave a sign or age or poor maintenance. It made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe. My returns back to the tidiness of the room and the organization of my items were like a love letter from housekeeping. Their consistency we really appreciated. Location: the one con about the Nia is their location as it is not walking distance from anything else but office buildings, but that is not a problem. It only brings the hotel from being a 12/10 to a 10/10. They make up for this with their bar/lounge/restaurant. Thank you so much to all who helped me feel at home during my stay and for providing an exceptional experience. Hotel Nia is the best overall hotel I've been to in a while. Anyone considering this hotel should just stop reading reviews and go ahead and book your reservations. Happy travels!

Yelp
We're not sure where to start for the absolute incredible experience. Hotel NIA was the best! When beginning to look around for venues, we had done a quick Google search for places which accommodate small weddings in Bay area. Hotel NIA, Porta Blu was the first venue we chose to see. When we booked our in-person visit, we met the GM and Mr. Chad who made sure we had everything we needed until we were directed to Luicel. To begin with, Luicel is such a sweet, lovely girl who genuinely wants to make your event perfect. We knew we had found our location. We booked it right away as it was just as beautiful as in photos. We cancelled the day's appointment to other venues. We were extremely happy to book such a beautiful venue. It was perfect for our classic, white themed intimate wedding reception. Luicel was efficient and kind when explaining the perfect options for us. Honestly, absolutely everything provided exceeded our hopes and expectations. The entire process of planning was so easy - made seamless by Luicel of course, our event coordinator. She made every effort to accommodate us in every way to make it the most special day for us. She was quick to respond, making communication simple. All aspects of the contract were clearly explained, and the timeline were easy to follow. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive. The team worked with us on scheduling all visits and was flexible since we live 20 mins away from Menlo Park. They were able to accommodate so many of our needs from early preparations, early check in and up until check out we felt really pleased with how they rendered service. We held our reception in the stunning, tastefully designed Porta Blu private dining as we only had 14 people including us the Bride and the Groom. On the day of the event, the staff was attentive, friendly, accommodating and communicative. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests could not stop raving about the food! We had the chicken saltimbocca and sea bass, most of our guests had the rib eye steak and said it was the best steak they've ever had (and these people are foodies). The hors d'oeuvres, mini desserts and cake were all delicious! We got a lot of compliments on the food. We were talking about it for weeks and we all actually think that this hotel has the best steak and is worthy of coming back to whenever we crave for one. Our compliments to the kitchen staff and to the awesome chef, Mr. Chad. The drinks were also incredible and the bar service was fast. All of our guests got drunk! We cannot recommend this venue, and all of it's staff, enough. I wish we could host more events there. Thank you Hotel NIA and everybody in it for giving us an unbelievable day and memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Our wedding was perfect!!

Yelp
Here for work at this trendy, boo-ti-que, uber-ish Autograph property next to FB Headquarters. The Valet will text you when your car is ready when you leave (no ticket is provided) and only wish they would wash and detail my car while I am here. . Verve coffee and limited pastries and breakfast sandwiches in their lobby cafe are provided. All the bells and whistles for the younger generation and right off the 101 and close to Stanford shopping center and Valley Fair Mall.

Yelp
Great stay! Very clean room and the pool was amazing!jacuzzi could have been a little more hotter! Staff was very nice and helpful J would say park at the parking lot next to the hotel for only $30 for the night. But valet parking is $37 dollar! Also no vending machines for snacks! But the atmosphere was amazing

Yelp
Hotel nia an Autograph hotel by Marriott is a hip and trendy spot located in the tech area near Cupertino. The location is ideal for easy freeway access. The restaurant and bar are delightful with a twist on modern flair. The patio and pool area is beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend a nights stay on their super soft beds.

Yelp
Alecia at the front desk deserves a raise! In the times on Covid-19 ....checkin time was chaotic, and the front desk staff seemed stressed. She was calm, friendly and definitely did her best not only to meet, but to exceed our expectations. This hotel is a hidden diamond where you wouldn't think to look. The pool is AMAZING, the outdoor area is packed with games to play and areas to sit nestled within the shade offering trees and grasses. Definitely one to visit - but don't tell too many people where it is!!! Let's keep it our secret.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hotels ever! I stayed in the king suite. The room is new, clean and so modern looking I love it! The bed and pillows are incredibly comfy! There is also a giant tub and shower so you can have an in room spa day! Everyone is also just genuinely nice! My favorite part of this hotel is how dog friendly they are. There was a dog bed, treats, water bowl and dog beer ready to go in the room upon arrival. Honestly, just check out the pictures I posted with this review because it's an awesomeness you have to see! I am giving this hotel the Napa stamp of approval.
