On the Grid : Hotel Nizza

"A real gem and loved by artists, journalists and designers for it's rooftop terrace with a great view of the frankfurt skyline and tasteful accomodation. The interior is stylish and tasteful, as is the breakfast buffet that includes various fresh homemade spreads and delicacies!" - Dreimorgen

I stayed here for five nights. There was an issue with the hot water, but overall, the customer service was excellent. Jean-Matthieu, Juliana, Sonia, and Lena made our stay a beautiful one. Each employee was very accommodating and did their best to meet our needs. I am forever grateful for the incredible hospitality. Breakfast was included and the service was great each time; shout out to Sam for being awesome. I told him that we would be back next year as my buddy and I plan to make this an annual trip. I can affirm that we will be staying at Hotel Beau Rivage Nice. Thank you for everything and we look forward to our return trip!

Great hotel in a great location very central to everything. We were in a refurbished room - beautiful. Breakfast was good - plenty of options. Unfortunately the TV channels in English are limited to CNN and BBC.||Front desk staff have been exceptional, answering all our questions re things to see, how to get to the large shopping centre past the airport, organising bus tickets etc.||Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the main centre where the christmas markets and Noel wonderland are location - so lots of people in the area.||Lots of restaurants around the hotel to choose from.

The hotel was nice and in a great place the staff were amazing but when I guys walked into the hotel there was such a bad smell!!! The same smell was also on the robes in the room!! That really put me off! The room itself was really nice but so so small!!! Luckily we didn’t have suitcases cos if we we did we would have no where to put them! The bed was very comfy and the location was perfect! I would definantly come back as the staff were very nice

Hotel is in a great location. Close to beach and there are restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk in any direction. Our room was compact but cosy and had everything we needed and very clean . We were room only so can't comment on food. Parts of the room were showing wear and tear, particularly the bath/shower and electric sockets near kettle. Just needing some minor maintenance. We heard work going on in nearby rooms so we assume some are being upgraded or repairs happening. These didn't spoil our stay as we were too busy out and about exploring the area. We would definitely use Beau Rivage again if we return to Nice.

Beau Rivage is in a fantastic location in Nice Old Town . The staff were all amazing and very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of hot and cold food. We had a family room which was a good size with very comfortable beds. We will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel and wonderful Nice very soon !

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Beau Rivage. The Rooms were spacious, clean, and grandiose with the high (maybe 11-foot) ceilings. The hotel is in a prime location just steps to the Promenade, beach, Castle Hill, harbor, and all the favorite spots in Old Town Nice. We had some issues with our toilette leaking every time it flushed, but the hotel staff was adamite to have maintenance fix the issues. The best part of the experience was the included breakfast. One of the best spreads I have ever enjoyed. I cannot get over the flavor in their crapes and waffles. They even have a machine that grinds chocolate and hazelnuts to make fresh Nutella!

Don’t be fooled by good looking photos on the website like me. 310 euros per night at this “4 star” hotel gets you: - stained carpet and furniture with scuffs; I’ve stayed at nicer motels - thin uncomfortable mattress “motel style” that will give you back pain - non functioning AC (even though it’s advertised as functioning) in non renovated rooms; it was HOT inside - 4 irons (!!!) for the whole hotel; you call to get your iron and have a 1 hour time limit with it. You’d think irons are cheap enough that a 4 star hotel should afford to buy one per room but clearly that’s not the case - if you book on booking.com they’ll try to force you in a non renovated room that smells like mold Front desk moved me to a renovated room after an extensive fight and good amount of attitude. Renovated rooms don’t have stains on carpets and functioning AC, but they’re just average and definitely not worth the price tag. I’ve stayed in France multiple times and this room is way below average for the price. Good location, but plenty of other hotels have good location in Nice so spend your money elsewhere.

It has a great location near the promenade and old town. The breakfast was good and staff excellent. |What spoilt our stay was that there was no hot water in the hotel from the night of October 13th and I was informed that the situation would take at least 48 hours to remedy as a part had to be brought from Paris. |We then checked out and into hotel Albert 1 nearby which is excellent .||The staff and manager did what they could and charged us less for the last night and helped us move our bags. I think they ought not to be blamed for the lack of planning on the part of the hotel in not keeping a replacement part in stock.||The manager was particularly helpful and apologetic but from the other reviews I read it seems the hotel was without hot water for a week or so which is a really long period of time.

Yelp
Tag ausgetauscht.

Yelp
Great hotel. Clean, fairly spacious for a hotel room in a prime location in France. Walking distance to shops and the coast. Great service. Somewhat updated in the room but it did great. During peak hours we found trouble getting ourselves a parking spot as quickly as we normally would, since the hotel doesn't have its own parking garage. Regardless, I'd recommend this hotel to any visitor and I'd consider staying here again.

Yelp
My fiance and I really enjoyed our time at the Beau Rivage. We were fortunate enough to get one of the more updated rooms but other family members had outdated rooms compared to ours. So be sure to request an updated room! The staff here are friendly and accommodating. They are quick to help if you need anything. The rooms are perfect for 2 people. I'm not sure if they have any bigger rooms but 3 adults would be a squeeze if you have to put a cot in the room. The location is prime!! We are close to the beach, a bunch of restaurants and shops. Every night we walked along promenade des anglais for dinner / drinks. Given its location some nights were noisy due to the local restaurants and you can hear the music until 12-1am. This hotel is also a 20 minute walk to the train station if you wish to visit Antibes / Cannes. There are also multiple car rental companies within a 3-5 minute walk if you prefer renting a car. We purchased breakfast for our stay and they served until 10:30am. Plenty of options to choose from at the buffet but it was the same items every day. Dispite other reviews, we had a very pleasant stay given the price!

Yelp
This hotel is in the perfect location, has a very kind and helpful staff, & a nice breakfast, as well as it's own beach club. It is not the fanciest, and I sure wish the AC was stronger, but they were kind enough to give us a fan to supplement it. Many hotels here do not have AC at all, so please don't take that as a complaint.

Yelp
This is worst hotel I've ever stayed at ever. Rooms aren't bad, but the whole place smells & the staff are excruciating, even by French standards.

Yelp
This hotel is at a perfect location while you're in Nice. It is directly across from the beach and they also have their own restaurant and private beach access. The hotel staff were courteous and very friendly and helpful. We got an instant upgrade! Our room is beautiful with their brown wood shutters and the only complaint is the bathroom which is a bit smaller and the shower protector doesn't work very well because water always escapes and drowns the floor. The beds are very big I believe it is a king size. The room is very spacious with lots of drawer space too. There is a safe in the room also which is a plus. Their breakfast is amazing! We finally get to have some bacon, sausages and eggs! An American style breakfast! They also have a lot of pastries and fresh fruits, juices, water, coffee, and cold meats if you prefer. It's so nice to walk in and out of our hotel and be right at Old Town Nice. Wonderful hotel!

Yelp
Considering the price, it's OK as other hotels were more expensive. Good location as it's right next to Marche Aux Flouri (a.k.a farmer's market). It uses the parking lot in the Marche (20 euro per night) and you can go in and out. The room was ordinary.. and a bit outdated but it was spacious. Water pressure was a bit weak. Breakfast is 20 euro but I would not recommend it as it doesn't even have pancake or other eggs except for boiled egg and scrambled egg... You can get nice coffee with crepe/croissant and cheese etc for around 10 euro at most restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Free wifi.

Yelp
Great place for lunch, good service and food, the children's menu is exceptional.

Yelp
While i've been writing reviews, it was hard to remember any other review after this one! This hotel is in an AMAZING location and is completely gorgeous. The staff are friendly and the rooms are beautiful. When you step outside the hotel door, you just have to walk left, cross the street and you're at the beach. I love the pebbled stone theme that they have throughout the hotel. Once you head to the waters, you'll see the same stones that are very indicative of the beach in NIce. The hotel is nested within a quieter street, and surrounded by great restaurants, public transportation and the down town area's central courtyard. We went during the holidays, so there was xmas lights and festivities going on. Amazing coffee and bakeries all around and just 400m away from a boulevard of shopping. I hope to go back soon and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. When in Nice make sure you eat at L'Ovale!!! http://www.yelp.com/biz/l-ovale-nice#hrid:PaWLsFeI5rcvbNNbInzFpw

Yelp
I'm going to start by the worst and last that happened. I ordered a taxi the night before our departure, they got us "private van" and the trip was 35 EUROS to the Airport! OUTRAGEOUS for a less than 7km/4.5 miles trip. You'd think someone in the Front desk could tell you about the price, right? This hotel is clearly understaffed in the Front desk, 90% of the time there was only one person here and that was never enough for a number of guests so high like this hotel. One Front desk agent told us we couldn't get coffee before 7am (that's when the breakfast buffet opens), HELLO, HOW ABOUT ROOM SERVICE??? Jeez. Our room faced the front street of the hotel (not the water) and the strange windows didn't close all the way, so the room was never dark. We had such a lovely time in Nice, too bad this hotel was just the opposite. The breakfast is very expensive.

Yelp
ONE STAR only for their WiFi connection - sloooowww and disconnects frequently! The location, however, is 5 stars!!!

Yelp
We had semi-high expectations for this hotel after seeing all the high (5 star) reviews on here, but ended up being fairly let down...there was no DND sign for our room door, so the maid walked in on us once and we were unable to avoid our daily cleaning service as we usually do at other hotels. Also our room felt and smelled of mildew the entire time, which made our clothes and the sheets feel damp. The staff was overall very nice and it was a very good location, but the hotel itself was below par so I have to give it 2 stars...if we could do it over again, we would pay more for better quality.

Yelp
Perfect location, close to the water, it's not a grand hotel most of the rooms are compact. Modern nautical design. They pump in this sandalwood vanilla scent in the lobby. I think it was developed by Creed, always think of Nice when I smell sandalwood now. We had the larger suite seen in photos 4,8,10 &11 (on hotel website) that has a private terrace. Amazing way to end a vacation.

Yelp
My husband and I took a roadtrip through France and stayed at the Hotel Beau Rivage during our time in Nice. It was a splurge for us as far as how much we were willing to spend on our rooms, but since this was the beach part of our vacation we wanted to stay at a nicer place. Our room was one of the suites with a partial Ocean view (we faced a building across the street but could see the ocean if we leaned out of our balcony). Very clean, modern decor, nice bathroom, and large with a super comfy bed. We loved every aspect of our room and liked the location of the hotel as well (right on the beach and a block or so away from the flower/antique market). The one downside to our trip was that on the night of our arrival we had some issues with parking (long story short, my husband spent over an hour trying to park the car as we could not get into the lot that the hotel has a deal with due to an issue on their part, parked in a more expensive lot, and was not comped for it like they said they would). This left us rather annoyed because most hotels, especially nicer ones will comp you regardless of the circumstance as good customer service. This hotel essentially said "the person who was working did not write this down to confirm so we cannot do that for you" ie., "we don't think you're telling the truth so too bad." That's the main reason they get 4 stars rather than 5 because otherwise the trip was great. Some things to know before you go: - the bar across the street is not related to the hotel, they just have the same name, so you cannot put drinks and food on your tab at the hotel - if you are really into going to the beach and want to visit the south of France for that, Nice is about 95% pebble beach. It's a great city for a variety of other reasons (like close location to Italy, Monaco, and the downtown), but there may be other cities to stay that have more sand options. This hotel, though, is within walking distance of the one small patch of man-made sand beach that exists in Nice.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Excellent service here from the front desk service. Great room size. The location is very convenient (walking distance to the beach and very close to the market square where there are tons of restaurants to eat). The Castle Hill is also walking distance from the hotel. The only not so good part about the hotel is the spotty wifi service. Still highly recommend here.
