Great location. Great hotel. Great staff. Rooms were always clean and always cool. AC was always cold and a welcome break when you retired from the heat of the day. Breakfast had everything you needed. The pool out the back is small but so clean and ideal for the amount of people in the hotel. The bar at the pool does great cocktails and ice cold beers. Probably the best thing about this hotel is it's location. It is right beside the train station and right beside a lime e-bike parking spot. Everywhere is accessible. Also affordable. 👍👍

Comfortable beds, lovely shower, and a decent breakfast! Fab balcony and very accommodating staff. Really enjoyed our stay and would come again! For some, they may not find it perfectly clean but it wasn’t dirty (e.g some bedding from previous guests left on a chair in the hallway or the odd stain on the spare bed in our room). Comfortable and private. Lift is a little small but I think this would be the case for most places in the area. Good amenities like the free coffee machine. We really did enjoy the breakfast despite some reviews expressing otherwise. Loved the selection of cured meats and their pan-au-chocolat was probably the best we had during our time… I ate about 4 on one of the days oopsie! Great price and honestly the staff were really nice! Also made good use of the robe and slippers. Felt like our own apartment the rooms were so spacious!

We stayed at the Excelsior Hotel in Nice for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located and has a charming, boutique feel with a mix of classic and modern design elements.|Our room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small, which is typical for city hotels in Europe. It included a small balcony, which was a nice touch, offering a bit of outdoor space and fresh air. The air conditioning worked very well, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout our stay — a big plus during the warmer season.|The Wi-Fi was decent, good enough for browsing and checking emails. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth, and they were happy to answer questions and offer local tips.|We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh and varied, with a good selection of items to suit different tastes. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the city.|Overall, the Excelsior Hotel is a great option for a short stay in Nice. While the rooms are compact, the cleanliness, efficient air conditioning, and warm hospitality make it a solid choice. We would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit.

It was a great experience. The staff is super friendly! The rooms were large, the shower was large and had a lot of water pressure. In our room, the toilet was separated in its own private area. The location to the train station was so super convenient if you are planning on taking the train, it was nice to be back in our room in 5 minutes. It was a good 20 minute walk to old town but only 5 minutes to the main walking promenade and tram line. There were a lot of local good restaurants and lots of choices for everything you may need within a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed the filtered water in the lobby lounge where you could refill daily. It was a great value!

The staff were friendly. I didn't like our room it was purple & blue but my son liked it. We booked in an emergency as our previous accommodation was terrible. This room was a "deluxe" it said and had a small balcony which was nice for fresh air. The shower was very good and the beds were comfy. The staff were polite. The Air conditioning worked. My biggest problem was that there were 10 fake drawers in the room. 1 set disguised a fridge which was on very very low. But not one of them could be used so you had all your things out everywhere which made it very untidy and depressing. It had one very dark wardrobe cupboard with no light in it and 5 coat hangers for 2 people. I asked for more and was given one. We didn't have breakfast as there are plenty of places nearby to get get a croissant or Pastries and a drink for 6 or 7 euro. Wouldn't stay again.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience at the hotel nice excelsior. Upon arrival my bathroom was not clean. There was mold on the walls of the shower not in the cracks but on the surface that could be easily cleaned. Also, they put clean towels onto a dusty drying rack. The bathtub seemed worn out with various yellow cracks. And the back of the faucet had so much buildup you could see it with the naked eye. I notified the staff and they said they will take care of it but the next day I come back and everything is the same way. Also, there was a weird smell when you got into a room. I tried to open a window to get in fresh air but it didn’t get rid of the smell. I just expected more cleanliness and attention to detail from the 4 star hotel. They did give me free breakfast for the duration of my stay though. On the other note, the hotel had a nice pool and kind staff. The breakfast was good with various options. Great croissants and egg potato tart was delicious. However, one morning I saw cucumbers that had mold in them as well. So I was a bit disappointed with that. I came in with high expectations that unfortunately didn’t become true.

We loved our stay here during our visit to France. The location is very convenient if you're taking the train. It's a bit further away from the beach, but it's an easy walk down. Our room provided lots of space and comfort. Adding breakfast to our reservation was a great decision. The food was delicious and really kick started our days! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed there longer :)

We recently stayed for two nights at the Excelsior hotel in Nice. We loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly.|I did mention to the staff upon check in that we were there celebrating my Husband's birthday and was hoping for a nice room. We got a very small room with a miniscule balcony.|Although our room was tiny, it was charming. Spotlessly clean and a fantastic shower on the bathroom. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a hotel |I loved coffee and water station in the lounge, such a fantastic idea to be able to take bottles of sparkling water up to you room and at the breakfast also. |The breakfast offerings were small but perfectly adequate. We loved the fresh bread and the cheese selection.|The location is the hotel is great, 2 minutes walk from the train station and less than 15 minutes to the promenade. |The decor in the hotel is lovely. |We would definitely return here on our next visit to Nice. |

Yelp
This is a cute little boutique hotel located about a 20 minute walk to the beach and main strip. Overall, the hotel was clean, but not clean enough. I had hair in my bed. There wasn't any housekeeping available so I had to change my sheets myself. I was in a group of 8 with two per room. The room I stayed in was the smallest layout from what I can tell, yet all the rooms cost the same. I wasn't able to get a pic of the room 107 before getting settled, but i wouldn't market it as a room for two if you bring more than carryon sized luggage. In order to fit into the room, we had to push the twin beds together. We then had to move furniture into the hallway. Even after doing that, everything was tight. I've stayed in European hotels before, but none as tight as this one. The room next door, which a couple of members of my group was staying in was noticeably bigger (room 108). Another member of my group was assigned a room where the air conditioner was broken and the room had an odor. It took two days for them to be moved to another room. They were constantly told the hotel was booked, yet people were still coming to check in. The room they were in was even bigger than the other two rooms and had a bigger bathroom and balcony located on the fourth floor. The staff members were friendly. I can't really speak on the buffet, because to me it's overpriced. If you can, walk down the street to one of the restaurants or bakeries for a quick meal. The bar is cute and the drinks are tasty.

Yelp
Hotel room is nice, but the front desk attendant is rude and condescendingly sarcastic. I don't know if it's because of the language barrier. If you stay here, it's nice, but avoid speaking to the front desk. Breakfast isn't very exciting either tbh.

Yelp
This hotel is really a nice one, not far away from the "Promenade Anglais". The staff was really friendly, the "Superior Room" was quite big and modern. The bathroom could have been a bit bigger, but it was okay. The breakfast was really good for France. ;-) But there is one negative point. The rooms are poorly soundproofed. Often you can hear the people next to the room or in the higher level. Nevertheless, a good hotel for a city-trip.

Yelp
O.k. Now I get it. After the initial shock of the area, people, traffic, parking situation at the train terminal, I now realize why so many people have this place a high rating. The first day, we could not get the driving in this area. Some streets are one way, most are two way. But this hotel has only one way to get to it. Thru the tunnel. You'll understand if your driving. Parking is quite an adventure. I hope you don't have a van or bus. We walked back to the hotel from the train station. It looked worst than it was but no problems at all. I was told by a local in the street to be cautious of pick pockets and don't leave you phone, not even for a minute, unattended. It will disappear. Walla! Next, we walked to downtown for dinner. Scary but as before, no problems. Found some nice restaurant's that the front desk recommended. Really nice food. Day 2 was better but parking again was an adventure. If you have a van or bus, stay left upon exit. You will dent your roof on the things hanging down on the right. In all, this hotel is pretty centrally located and is super quiet. Sound proof Windows are awesome. I also rate it a 5 star. P.s. Like everything in France, rooms are small but manageable. Have a nice stay.

Yelp
Yay! We booked this hotel because it had decent reviews on TripAdvisor. It turned out to be a great choice. It was cute and pretty modern, considering it served as a place to hold prisoners during WWII. The bath was so luxe, which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable and though the rooms were small, they made great use of the space with nesting tables and hidden storage. The tiny balcony was cute, but there isn't much of a view, so it's a bit wasted. The main square is a short walk away and the tram is v. accessible.

Yelp
This hotel had the cute boutique look that I usually enjoy, however it lacked in basic amenities. Front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. We got in relatively late and the room was set up for us. It was tiny, as to be expected. Bed was a decent size and very comfortable. The room had a tiny little balcony, the kind that you can not walk onto. It came out to the street and that made the room very noisy. One of the nights, there was some sort of a delivery right under our windows. It must have been 2 in the morning and so very loud. The bathroom was nice and modern. There was no shower curtain or the door on the shower. I have been to europe quite a bit of times to notice this trend and accept it. This particular one however was horrible. The way it was constructed, it was impossible to take a shower without soaking the place completely. Just pools of water everywhere! Quite annoying. There was a battery in the bathroom that could be turned on and used to dry the towels. I thought it was very nice touch. The hotel had a particular smell to it. In the rooms as well as in the hallway. Maybe like an old mildewy smell? Overall, I did not feel like I was staying in a 4 star hotel. Just didn't quite measure up in expectation. The area was decent. It was quite far to the ocean, maybe a 20 minute walk. But it was right across the street from the major train station, which would make it convenient for anyone travelling that way. Wifi was a good strong signal. They did offer breakfast but we opted out of that.

Yelp
Great hotel. Extremely close to the train station, but a 20 minute walk from the rue de Anglais promenade area. Nonetheless, there is a lot to love about this area. Lots of restaurants, many of them Asian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. Markets and bakeries are also very close. The room I had was real nice, and you can tell very recently upgraded. The building itself from the outside is beautiful and built in he 1800's. Rooms aren't soundproof, but it didn't bother me. Beds are comfy. One of the smallest bathrooms I've ever come across...the toilet is actually separated from the shower/sink area. I only wish the small fridge had been empty rather then full of their own products from the minibar. They also provide soap and shampoo from l'occitane which is nice. Not many drawers, which is odd because the side tables look like small chests of drawers but don't open! Wifi works great!!!! All in all, if u were arriving by train I'd recommend definitely to stay here. I'm sure I'll be back again.
