We arrived very late (around 23:20) due to a delayed flight, and it was such a relief to be able to check in at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport without any issues. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a lovely view over the airport surroundings. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try the breakfast or enjoy more of the room amenities because we had to check in early for our next flight. However, based on what we experienced, everything was a definite plus. Would happily stay here again!

It's obviously convenient if you have one of the first flights out of KIX, since public transit from the city starts too late in the morning. And it's nice, for sure; we walked into the room and I thought it looked like the same size and type of room I'd get at a US airport hotel at a slightly better price. But it makes no sense as a sightseeing base given how far it is from downtown. We were fortunate to have a great view of the runway from our room.

Lovely hotel right next to Terminal 1. We stayed 1 night in an economy room which was a generous size with great amenities and a great view of the runway. Staff very friendly and the buffet breakfast was amazing! The only criticism was the bed which was very hard although this is pretty standard for most Japanese hotels. We will definitely stay here again when travelling to Kansai Airport.

For travelers arriving at KIX airport, Nikko Kansai Hotel is an outstanding choice. Located just one minute from the train station and a short walk from the terminal, it offers great convenience. Especially if arriving late. The rooms are spacious and comfortable a rare find for airport hotels, and come at a reasonable price. Whether you're catching an early flight or arriving late, this hotel provides a stress-free stay with all the essentials. The combination of location, comfort, and value makes it a top pick for transit stays. Highly recommended. There is also a lot of nice restaurants with different types of Japanese or even western food. Family Mart next door.

As soon as you exit the hotel, the airport is right there which is so amazing. Before the hotel, you have a Lawson that’s opened 24/7 and a bunch of restaurants upstairs to eat. The hotel is beautiful and the bed were so comfortable. The staff were kind and polite and yes, they speak English. It was a good price for the comfort that you don’t have to go crazy about going to the airport. The subway was also just right out the door and so was the ferry that takes you to Kobe Airport.

Perfect hotel for a late-night arrival at Kansai Airport. Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport was incredibly convenient, we arrived late at night and it was such a relief to walk straight from the terminal into the hotel without needing a taxi or train. Check-in was fast and the staff were kind and professional. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, which made for a great night’s rest after a long flight. If you’re arriving late or flying out early, this hotel is the best choice for a stress-free stay right at the airport.

Google
The rooms itself are comfortable and a decent size. The rooms were also very quiet as the windows were triple paned to block out any airplane noise. Despite this the interior of the rooms are due for an update. The star of the Hotel is the breakfast Buffet. This was included in my hotel rate. They served steak at the buffet and there was delicious curry. Great way to start the day with Curry Steak and Rice! Lawsons on the second level and a Family mart was also close by if you want some snacks at night. Would stay again.

Hotel room is big and clean, even though it's 30 years anniversary for the hotel this year, but it's well-maintain and still looks good. Suitable hotel to overnight especially need to catch up early flight next day so won't be too rush from outside airport/town area to travel in airport for coming flight. There's hotel restaurant and food court available, so no worry for dine in. There's available for train service outside the hotel, which able to travel anywhere and much convenient. Overall great and recommended hotel to overnight before next flight boarding.

Yelp
Adjacent to the airport, don't follow Google maps as it mapped the street route for a 20 minute walk. Just step outside the airport and walk towards the shops facing the airport, there is a walking bridge on the upper levels of the airport or you can cross the small airport road, the hotel entrance is located next to the shops. The room is very spacious, clean and easy to get to. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
When we were going to come back to Hawaii via Kansai airport, we made it a point to stay the night before at Hotel Nikko. We could do any last minute shopping, have a nice meal at the airport and have a good nights sleep before coming hope. Just a 5 minute stroll to the check-in area. The hotel is not a businessman hotel and the rooms are quite spacious for a Japan hotel. If you are lucky enough to get an upgrade, your room faces the runway which is pretty neat. The hotel has upgraded restaurants and the service is top notch. These is the closest accommodation to the Kansai airport. The pricing is reasonable if you do it in advance. We are looking forward to going there again.

Yelp
If you have a late arrival or early departure out of kix, consider this hotel. After a long flight, I just want to hunker down and get some rest. We could just walk to our hotel after gathering our luggage. So convenient. The breakfast buffet is amazing, so many choices. Price point seemed a little higher than other hotels, but the convenience is worth it to me.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay on 12/2/2023. I booked a single business class room but they upgraded it to a two-people business class room. Room was very nice. It was very relaxing.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. Because of a Typhoon in Japan, all trains and busses to the Kansai airport were cancelled. Even the bridge was closed, so I could not even take a taxi to the airport. The hotel would not refund the booking even though it was impossible for me to get there. Did they want me to swim across the river? This was such a terrible experience and sucked a lot of energy out of me at the end of a long trip. My friends who traveled with me got full refunds from their hotels due to the Typhoon. This ruined the end of a great trip.

Yelp
Review is for July 2018. If you fly into or out of Kansai Airport (KIX) from Hawaii, you'll notice mostly all the flights arrive at night or leave at night, so that's something to consider when you land at KIX and need a place to hang out before heading to Tokyo or Kyoto the next day or catching your flight back to Hawaii. We had about 10 hours to kill before we flew out, and considered the day use lounge for families, which would have been a LOT cheaper, but we were lugging all of our suitcases, pretty tired out and eager to get off our feet and maybe catch some zzz's and shower so we headed to Nikko, which had a pretty decent rate if you pre-booked, but NOT if you show up without reservations, like we did. I actually did pre-book a room for our flight in, but Air Asia managed to mess that up and delay our flight to the next day, so I had to call Nikko long distance to cancel to avoid the $159.00 room charge fee, which was dirt cheap considering that was for the three of us and I booked months in advance. They say they speak English, but after I started rattling off English the guy on the other end says "no understand", so I had to bust out the Japanese. The walk-in fee was very steep, it cost $268.00 for the three of us for only 8 hours of use (they would charge us more if we went over the 8 hours), but my husband said "screw it" and got the room. The room was just average but the view of the ocean and the runway was pretty entertaining. There were "free" drinks in the fridge which involved some great beer - like Yebisu, and soft drinks for the kiddo. We left our suitcases in the room and wandered about the terminal eating and drinking our way around KIX, headed back to the room to sleep, shower and rest before catching our (dreaded) Air Asia flight back to Hawaii. Service was efficient, helpful and prompt. No frills bull. Fast check in and fast check out. I'd stay again, but will probably pre-book next time. Lesson learned.

Yelp
Excellent hotel! The lobby is very clean and spacious, alone with the restrooms. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The checkin process is smooth and easy. The staff did a great job. I did not catch the staff's name, who is a trainee. She upgraded us to business room due to the room we originally booked being unavailable. She explained what's included in the business room, which is the mini bar at no charge. And she checked what newspaper we want tomorrow morning and offered wake up call. Afterwards she called for concierge service to take our luggage for us to the room. The lady trainee did an excellent job in providing great customer service. I cannot thank her enough for what she did. I wish I got her name so I can mention her in the comment form. I would book this hotel again in the future.

Yelp
Location is great if you have a night or an early morning flight, but everything else isn't. Price is high, room is quite dated. Only one wangling channel on tv. Three stars instead of two because they do give you Handy, although I would not choose this hotel for longer than one night to fix airport logistics, so Handy is somewhat useless.

Yelp
Bestest super-most-excellent breakfast during the entire family vacation in Japan! If I remember nothing else from the visit years ago, I remember that. There was EVERYTHING I love: rice porridge, furikake, toast.... (Yes I know, I am not a very expensive brunch/breakfast date!) and a thousand other selections of hot and cold items. All at my finger-tips. Awesome. I only regret not waking earlier to have more eating time. Also I regret not having eight magic stomachs so I could eat everything and more. And the coffee, oh my buddha-- tastiest coffee this side of the Pacific Ocean. Sugoiiiii! Hotel room was very nice and comfy. I think most Americans would find them up to standard. I truly did not want to leave. But eventually we had to pack and walk next door for the flight from Osaka to Taiwan. *sad trombone* FIVE STAR, Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport. My ultimate favourite buffet breakfast in Japan.

Yelp
If you're expecting USA size hotels, you're going to be disappointed. I was by myself in a one BR and it was enough for me. Not sure what size the bed was, I think a full? Or smaller tad bit smaller than a full? Idk but its definitely a bit larger than a bunk bed size twin. The hotel is very clean. I always check the bathroom shower curtain and tub grout to judge the cleanliness and it was pristine! No mold or grossness in there. YES!!!! Very quiet here, could not hear the planes, traffic or anyone else on my floor. 3 restaurants in the hotel, Lawson's convenience store & Burger King a few steps away outside on the 2nd floor, both 24 hr. Third floor had a 2-3? restaurants that I saw as well. Not as "nice" or expensive looking as the ones inside the hotel. So convenient if you have a pretty long layover. You just need to walk across and check in on the 1st floor.

Yelp
Located in the Osaka-Kansai Airport, this was probably one of the most conveniently located hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan. After landing at the airport, this hotel can be found by walking through the attached walkway. When arriving at the lobby on the first floor, the staff will guide you to an open counter to check-in (and to help you with any luggage you may have). We stayed here on two separate nights and each time we checked in, they gave us a promotional gift of either hand sanitizer or air freshener (per person). The bellhop was very polite and guided us to our room cheerfully! The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The hotel provided many amenities, including a robe, room slippers, razors, hairbrush, wash towels, and even a bottle of water for each person. I was even more pleasantly surprised to see that they provided La Mer shampoo and conditioner for guests to use. It was also nice that when three of us were staying in one room, there were three twin beds provided; no fighting over the bed sheets! Another good thing about this hotel is the fact that the noises from outside were not audible; which means that I didn't hear any airplanes flying by! The hotel also provides an option of eating a breakfast buffet at one of their restaurants for a discounted price. We ate there for one morning and it was very delicious! The plates are divided into 9 smaller compartments so that your food doesn't run into each other. The foods are also separated by western and Japanese food. I was happily surprised when I saw that they offered chia seed (and ate it up with the aloe yogurt). And it's always a great morning when you get to eat really tasty ice cream!

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport for one night and the service just blows you away. They are so thoughtful and got the kids a goodie bag with slippers, wash cloth & tooth brush set. They even have children bath robes that are super cute. Before I even got to the check in area, one of the staff is already walking over to greet us. And right after I checked in and got the keys, the concierge came to offered assistance. They even have a small step stool for the kids in the bathroom. And I had a complimentary upgrade! What a great experience! I will definitely come back for sure for the exceptional guest service experience!

Yelp
I don't give out too many five star reviews but the Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport really is a great hotel. We decided to stay here on our last night of our vacation just for the convenience. We decided to go for one of the larger rooms on the 11th floor. Room was huge, even by US standards. Mind you, this is an exception and we paid for it but it was worth it. The staff is very attentive and courteous. If I could afford it I would have stayed here my entire trip. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a nice selection of pastries and entrees. Seems as though Japanese buffet service is a little different from the US. Plates aren't removed immediately and sometimes sit for some time. But no big deal. Quality of food is more important. All in all a fantastic and relaxing stay.

Yelp
Well this expensive hotel is great if you're stuck in Kansai airport with a 20 hour delay like myself & have no other motel reservation, this one will do! If you're willing to pay ¥19,000 of course... it was worth it to me though to get a good night rest. Other people were sleeping in the locker room on the couches. Did not look comfy at all since the lights were bright & you have zero privacy. The room was huge! It felt very Western. However I was pretty bummed I didn't see a placenta face mask :(. There were free take home slippers! Also they provide a good amount of toiletries if you did forget something such as: razor, shower cap, exfoliating gloves, shampoo/conditioner, etc. I would only recommend this place if your'e in dire need of sleep or don't mind paying $185 for a room. Because the other thing that's a rip off is that there is a breakfast but it's not included, same with the all you can eat buffet. so very overpriced but not much you can do when you need a place to sleep.

Yelp
If you have an early flight out of Kansai International or KIX, then stay here for the most relaxing, luxurious night and seamless departure. Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport is the definition of convenience--it's connected to the terminals by a covered walkway and has its own fast food dining options, finer dining restaurants, convenience store, and all other amenities you've come to expect from a nicer hotel, plus more. First thing worthy of note: The rooms and the bathrooms are American-sized! After days of staying in cute but tiny apartments, it was a breath of fresh air to have lots of space for moving around and not to bump into the shower curtain when showering. Hotel guests are equipped with good-quality toiletries as well as less conventional goodies (placenta face masks?) including pajamas, slippers (bathroom and room), and an air purifier. The room that we stayed in was spotless. It was so clean, I felt dirty in it. It also smelled really good, none of that mustiness. The bathroom has the Japanese Western toilet with all the fancy buttons. A definite bonus for those who love Japan's interesting take on the commode. Additionally, their beds are super comfortable. The hotel itself is quite beautiful, with gorgeous displays scattered throughout. Staff are courteous and speak English well. Five stars for this wonderful hotel (and more if I could).

Yelp
After a long flight, Nikko hotel is just a stone throw away from the arrival terminal. Just need to push the airport trolley across and you're there. Check in process was fast and friendly staffs. Overall very nice room, clean toilets and comfortable bed. Sound proofing was good although next to the airport. Fast internet speed and they provide humidifier. There are restaurants within the hotel and there's also a convenience stall at street level. Breakfast area starts at 530am and quite a spread. They serve steak in the morning. There are more variety at the terminal building however they close at 10pm. If you want to take a train to town the station is just next to the hotel. Again sound proofing is very good you can't tell you are sleeping next to the train station too.

Yelp
I usually don't stay in Airport Hotels due to the expensive cost but when I browse through this hotel's website, I found a great deal - U.S$100 for a night and needless to say, I booked it immediately. My original plan was to camp overnight at the airport after arriving from another destination, I would rather save some money than to spend exorbitant price on hotel rooms but this was one of the occasions which I didn't have to think twice. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and Terminal 1, so walking to either places takes less than 5 minutes from the hotel. It's very suitable for travellers departing early in the morning. Save transport money and also no need to worry about human and traffic jam! The rooms are old, but it's clean with the facilities you expect from an airport hotel. I had a comfortable one night and for meals, I hop over to terminal 1 and even late at night, the fast food restaurants are opened. Free Wifi is available and connection is strong, so no worries about doing your work. The staff were friendly and I got my check-in and check-in procedures done very quickly. I recommend this hotel to anyone especially for quick stop-overs. It's best to book at least few months in advance as its way cheaper than booking last minute. Enjoy your stay at this hotel!

Yelp
Hotel Nikko is a well-preserved relic from the bubble era, with bathroom intercoms and mediocre hotel restaurants. The courteous staff, however, genuinely tries to impart a sense of respect and luxury to the hotel. For rates below ¥12000, it's probably the best place for travelers leaving Kansai for Narita or international travel. The terminal offers a taste of many regional delicacies, including takoyaki and okonomiyaki, with branches of renown Osaka restaurants. I have no specific complaints about Hotel Nikko, apart from its nostalgic evocation of a 1990s New Otani. I wish, however, that the hotel would make alliances with cafes and restaurants in the terminal, offering residents guidance and discounts in the sprawling food court.

Yelp
Hotel Nikko at KIX airport was definitely a great option for me since I was arriving in Osaka late at night after an almost 24 hour journey from New York. It was comfortable and all the staff was friendly and helpful. I also recommend getting the package with breakfast buffet included. The room was very comfortable and they have an electric kettle in the room, which was perfect for my companion who was just getting over a cold. Also, if you sign up for the free One Harmony membership they give you a free drink and a later checkout time. I totally recommend this hotel if you are arriving at KIX late and want to just go to a close comofortable hotel without going into Osaka. The breakfast brunch was really delicious as well with a mix of Japanese and western food.

Yelp
We stayed here because we had a late flight into kix airport . It was the best idea to stay here because after a long 9 hour flight it was a relief to just walk to the hotel instead of taking another a train or bus to a lodging. The service here was nice. The same 2 women checked us in and out in the morning. Their amenities are complete and even offered pjs for our kids. The breakfast buffet that they offer is fabulous. Theres a convenient lawsons too. Out of the 3 hotels and 2 air BN b's that we stayed at, this was my husband's favorite place to stay. Our only regret is not having more time to peruse the area . We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Yelp
If you have an early flight to catch or are arriving late and want a place to lay your head the NIKKO KANSAI AIRPORT is the place to stay. It does not get anymore convenient than being IN the airport. The staff and service are great and, depending on your room, you can see planes land and take off. Pretty cool, especially considering that you can SEE but not HEAR them so you still get a good night's rest. This is a great call if you need to stay close to the airport. The NIKKO HOTEL at KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...as good as it gets.

Yelp
Well, my friend suggested I should just check into an airport hotel since it is a hour on the Limo bus into Central Osaka(even Dreamliner 787 biz class takes a little outa you after 12 hours!). I did my usual upgrade and they put me into a really nice corner room with a view to the river where I get a view of planes too. It also had an amazing pillar disguise(see video). Of course FREE MINI bar for VIP:-) hahaha. I love Japan. Of course they also have two packets of PLACENTA treatments in the bathroom which I have no idea what to do with(they did not teach me at NASA or SONY!) :-)

Yelp
Good value for the money of about $115 USD for a large Clean room by Asian standards. The bed was below average for hence the 3/5 star. The staff was excellent beyond the typical Japanese courteous. Towels could have been newer as it has lost its fluff. Bonus is it so bear the terminal.
google avatar

Lori E.

Yelp
Although this hotel was a little more pricey than the other ones we stayed at, the convenience was well worth it. After a long flight from Hawaii it was nice to be able to just walk a short distance to the hotel. The other years we had come to Japan I booked hotels that were far from the airport. It was so exhausting trying to find our hotels after a long flight. I will be staying here again the next time we have a long flight into Kansai.

Yelp
The rooms are clean for large for a Japanese hotel room. Stayed here many times as it is next to KIX airport. Would avoid the Brasserie as the food their is average and the price of the food is premium. Plenty other options to choose from, such as the plaza next door or at the airport terminal
