Yelp
Hotel Nikko Osaka was a very enjoyable one night stay. Like the other hotels I stayed in during my Japan visit, this hotel offered spectacular service. There was always a staff member at the elevator to help with your bags if needed and while not everyone was able to help me as a completely oblivious English speaker, I was always referred to someone who could help me. Given the proximity to the Osaka restaurant district, Dotonburi, this hotel deserves 4 stars alone. An incredibly easy walk to shopping centers and plentiful restaurants and far too many side streets that I could get lost on. Additionally, the 2nd floor (lobby) buffet, Serena, is fantastic! Not sure if I was particularly hungry that morning or if the food was just especially delicious, but I could have stayed for hours eating all of the yummy foods and desserts.
The only quip is that the rooms were just a little bit small and the walls were not entirely soundproof (I could hear snoring from the neighboring room). However, our room was equipped with Wifi, and most importantly for travelers, the desk area came with multiple plug outlets, for Japan, American (3-prong), and European (crazy prong) electronics. I did not see this in my other hotels, but greatly appreciated that I didn't have to search through the cabinets or ask the front desk for a 2-prong to 3-prong adapter.
Additionally, there is a business center in the hotel lobby, which can be used for internet, but NO printer. I was able to ask the front desk if they could assist with printing of my boarding passes (yes, I know, very old school), and the lobby asked me to send to their hotel address for them to print directly, free of charge!
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
