Very good hotel. 5 star hotel standard. Very clean and all the amenities are thoughtfully prepared. The only downside is the rather compact space, which for me was not an issue. It's convenient access to the subway is a benefit that can't be underestimated during a hot Osaka summer. Definitely recommend. Would stay here again

Anyone who has read my reviews know I like a good airport hotel and this is certainly one of them. A short connected walk from terminal to hotel was so easy after a long flight. Self check in was assisted by very friendly staff and was quick and then to the room. I only booked an economy room and it was very impressive. Larger than a normal Japanese room it was well appointed and comfortable. I would imagine the other grade rooms would be very nice. Didn't do breakfast as I slept in but the hotel was very nice and even though it was very busy the rooms were very quiet.

This excellent airport hotel is literally connected by covered walkway to both the train station and the airport. It is just a few minutes walk to both. The area between the hotel and the station has a burger place and a good convenience store (Lawson). ||The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and relatively roomy. The WiFi was very good.||The Japanese restaurant in the hotel was excellent. The Chinese restaurant/menu looked appetizing, although we didn't eat there. ||The only thing missing is a gym.||We spent 10 days in Japan is this was among the best places we stayed. We would happily stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Nikko Osaka. The location is unbeatable—right above Shinsaibashi Station and steps away from great shopping and dining. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, modern, and had a nice city view, though slightly compact. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Osaka.

Google
This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the breakfast buffet was 10/10. They have 2 buffets, a Japanese style and Western style - both were good. The first few floors of the building are shops which was nice, and there's easy access to the street and train station. The staff were friendly and spoke english.

We stayed two nights here on a tour. The hotel is centrally located downtown, but is a long ways from the airport. The taxi was $120US and took about 50 minutes. We had special banquet food which was actually very good. No bar to speak of and dining is limited inside. The breakfast restaurant was very good, great selection.

Highly recommend! Great location, exceptional services, well equipped rooms with various amenities, access to multi cuisine food, prime location, walkable distance to shopping, train station. Quality of food was also good.

Google
Rooms were okay, they’re a bit small…not much moving area. Have to squeeze by in the bathroom if your for example brushing your teeth with your patter and stuff.. the room doesn’t really get as cold either. The location was very good! A couple feet away from dotomburi. The bfast buffet at serene was not that great for the price.

Yelp
This place is a terrible old hotel. Plain and simple...TERRIBLE HOTEL. AVOID AT ALL COST! The room they gave us was the size of the inside of a Prius car. It was filthy. It smelled like dirty socks. The carpet and furniture was worn out. The staff was nasty. Every single person we encountered should be fired. We checked in and ten minutes later we checked out. What a poop hole!

Yelp
I was expecting better. On my third trip to Osaka I decided to do the Nikko. I arrived at 12:30 and had to wait until something like 3pm to check in, that started me off in a poor mood. I have top tier status on the reservation system I booked through and would never have to wait like this. If anything I would be given some form of club lounge access and or upgrade. From what i could tell, I was very surprised to find that there was no club lounge here. So that was that. Then, the Hotel does not have in room AC, Japan was experiencing a very hot July and the Hotel's Central system was not making proper effort. I was excessively warm for many of the hours of my 3 night stay. The views are great here, and location is basically unbeatable. You can go back behind the Hotel to quieter, upmarket Horie District (think Tribecca) where most of my friends live. It is less touristy and is more classy. I cannot beat the Hotel up too much as the rate was not bad, and the room size by Japanese standards was good. I just expected it to be closer to the Okura (the 5 Star element of this chain I have stayed at) than just a Hilton.

Yelp
The rooms are comfortable but overall pretty basic. Location of this hotel really makes up for any shortcomings of the room. Metro stop on the basement and some much to see and do in the area. Especially if you're a foodie. If you're arriving late there are plenty of options for late night bites. Hotel has lots of food options inside and in the basement levels, the term basement may not be entirely accurate since the hotel is also connected to the Parco building by underground walk way which also has a lot to offer. The rooms are average size for Japan. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathrooms got a bit of a 1980's thing going on but are functional and clean. Not to mention fantastic water pressure from the shower head. Wish the A/C had been a bit cooler. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Cabs waiting outside at all times.

Yelp
The best thing about this hotel is that it sits right above a subway station making it easy to travel to all the sights. The room it self is older. The only USB-A outlet (2) are on the alarm clock. Very clean.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty mid. Location is convenient since it's next to the train station and accessible to the many shopping/restaurants area. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel room itself was very old and runs a little tight. What made it a bit uncomfortable, was that the AC didn't seem to be working, and it was getting hard to sleep, even after a couple maintenance calls. The restroom can also use an upgrade.

Yelp
The hotel overall was very nice, the lobby was great and had a 24/7 spot for coffee and snacks. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable minus the lack of control of the A/C. It said somewhere that rooms on certain levels were controlled by the front office. The suites did not have temperature controls. We set our A/C to 20C and it was not 20C, but considerable warmer. The weather was warm during our stay and it was barely comfortable in our rooms. Besides that, the hotel was in a good location and it had the subway running under it.

Yelp
値段が高すぎて、部屋が不十分な馬鹿げたホテルを探しているなら、ここがお勧めです。質を考えると、値段が高すぎます。海外出張でここに来ましたが、誰にもお勧めしません。 If you're looking for an overprice, ridicules hotel with inadequate rooms this is your spot. The money is far too expensive for the quality. Traveled here for international business and would never recommend to anyone

Yelp
We had an amazing experience here. It's such a beautiful hotel in the center of shopping and food places. The staff were all professionals and the room is beautiful. We got booked on the 27th floor and the view is spectacular. The breakfast was also very delicious. We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 89/100 If this had been my first time in Japan I might have given this hotel a better review. When you first arrive at the hotel, it looks really nice. However, as you head to the elevators and go up to your room, you gradually sense a shift. The carpets are dingier in the upstairs hallways and by the time you get inside your room, it almost feels like a different place. Rooms 2 stars - this hotel was medium range in terms of pricing. The room was a decent dice for a triple. The room just felt so flimsy and cheap. The walls felt like the walls of a trailer so we were lucky that the people in rooms around us were pretty quality. The central ac/fan/heater unit didn't work correctly and we were basically in a sauna the whole time. The bathroom toilet had the noisiest flushing system I've ever heard and the bidet was the lamest one I've ever used in any Japan hotel. The shower squirts out hot and cold water at intervals. Per the sign, this is supposed to save water which is great for the environment but not so great for me as I prefer my showers at one steady temperature. The room also had a musty smell that we couldn't get rid of no matter what we sprayed. Location 3 stars - Hotel is within walking distance of the popular eating and shopping district but there are hotels that are even closer and more convenient. The area directly surrounding the hotel just had some luxury stores a tiny mall. Also, you can take the airport trains but there are transfers and finding the elevators or escalators can be tricky if you have a lot of luggage (as we did). Service 2 stars - surprisingly poor service. Housekeeping banged on our door one morning to ask us what time we were going out so they could clean. We put up the do not disturb sign so we could sleep in! Overall, for the price I think you could find a better quality hotel at a better location.

Yelp
I decided to stay @ Nikko Osaka on my last trip to Japan and was kinda disappointed. The hotel was okay and comparable to hotel in Tokyo, but it was not too close to the main tourist area, Namba Walk. It was a 10 minutes walk each way to Namba Walk. What I liked: - Located across Daimaru Department Store and Minami shopping area. - Directly connected to Osaka Metro Shinsaibashi Station. - Airport limousine stop @ the hotel. What I didn't like: - It's not @ Namba :( Amenities: - Bodywash, shampoo, conditioner. - Toothbrush & toothpaste. - Hand & face soap. - Hair dryer & hair brush & shaver. - Robe & slippers. - TV, air purifier & portable AC. - Safety box. - Free wifi. - Mineral water, green tea, roasted green tea & black tea. The service was friendly, but I did have difficulties communicating with the staff. Make sure you time your departure with the airport limousine bus schedule. My flight was too early and I had to take the taxi to OCAT station. Not fun, I tell you. 3.5 stars!!

Yelp
Review for the Premium Nikko rooms only. Since these are relatively newer rooms, they're definitely prettier and more spacious, and obviously a lot more pricier. Service and everything was fast. They do charge a local tax of ¥1000 (for 4 nights). Downside is that they have shops and weird entrances to this place and need to use escalators and then elevators to get to the lobby or hotel room (especially late at night). Security system is weak (no need for a card to get up to hotel room floors). The room itself is beautiful with a lovely window view. The shower is so spacious and contains a standup shower, bath, and has a makeup table/seat and 2 washbasins. We're staying in a room with 2 beds and the room is definitely large enough for several luggages (some hotels can barely fit one).

Yelp
Very disappointing. It has location, but that, I'm afraid, is all it has. On two separate days, two separate concierge staff persons send me to two separate restaurants that were closed! It shouild be a concierge's business to know such things. I didn't even get a washcloth in my room. No point in belaboring this. In Japan, such a hotel is a scandal.

Yelp
First time in Osaka and I wasn't sure where to stay, what to do and what to expect. We chose Nikko because of the reviews and city center location. The hotel really conveniently located. We were able to take the train and the a quick taxi ride to the hotel. Once arrived - the service from the get go was amazing. The doormen, check in, greeters were all so friendly and welcoming. Our room was amazing! We had a view of the city and it was so cool! The room was small but features were great, bathroom and shower were my favorite. Updated and immensely clean. The toiletries included toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrush and really good quality hair products and body care. Even though our room was small - it had a sitting area and mini bar area which was nice. As far as location - it was such a great location. We ventured 2 minutes waking and found a ton of shopping, restaurants, clubs, bars - we could've spent our entire vacation in this area alone. We also checked out the Osaka Castle which was about a 15 min taxi ride (taxis and so widely available and easy to access ESP from the hotel). We stayed at hotel Nikko for 3 days in total but will definitely be back in the future. It was a perfect stay!

Yelp
We stayed at the Hotel Nikko for 2 nights during our time in Osaka. It was a great hotel, in a prime location, and surrounded by shopping and eateries. We had no problems navigating to restaurants nearby whenever we wanted to dine out. Also, it's located in the "Times Square" of Osaka, so everywhere you go -- there are tourists and people around all day and all night. Rooms were comfortable, and just right. Hotel is modern, and their concierge staff is very helpful. They helped to arrange reservations for us to dine at local restaurants, since we didn't speak any Japanese and would likely have a hard time communicating with the restaurants. Since it rained a bit, we borrowed umbrellas from the lobby staff, and went on our way to explore. I'm really glad we stayed at his hotel during our time in Osaka, it made all the walking and exploring more convenient!

Yelp
Hotel Nikko Osaka was a very enjoyable one night stay. Like the other hotels I stayed in during my Japan visit, this hotel offered spectacular service. There was always a staff member at the elevator to help with your bags if needed and while not everyone was able to help me as a completely oblivious English speaker, I was always referred to someone who could help me. Given the proximity to the Osaka restaurant district, Dotonburi, this hotel deserves 4 stars alone. An incredibly easy walk to shopping centers and plentiful restaurants and far too many side streets that I could get lost on. Additionally, the 2nd floor (lobby) buffet, Serena, is fantastic! Not sure if I was particularly hungry that morning or if the food was just especially delicious, but I could have stayed for hours eating all of the yummy foods and desserts. The only quip is that the rooms were just a little bit small and the walls were not entirely soundproof (I could hear snoring from the neighboring room). However, our room was equipped with Wifi, and most importantly for travelers, the desk area came with multiple plug outlets, for Japan, American (3-prong), and European (crazy prong) electronics. I did not see this in my other hotels, but greatly appreciated that I didn't have to search through the cabinets or ask the front desk for a 2-prong to 3-prong adapter. Additionally, there is a business center in the hotel lobby, which can be used for internet, but NO printer. I was able to ask the front desk if they could assist with printing of my boarding passes (yes, I know, very old school), and the lobby asked me to send to their hotel address for them to print directly, free of charge! Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Yelp
I loved my experience here. They are very courteous when you arrive and whenever you go out and return. They always want to carry your bags. They have umbrellas waiting just in case it rains. A limousine bus service to the airport. The breakfast buffets here are amazing. The restaurants in the hotel are great as well, a little expensive... but good. I preferred the buffers a lot more, and they are way better priced. They have a western and a Japanese; both are equally amazing. Their dinner Italian buffet is also very wonderful. They make up your room every day and give you clean sheets and everything. I extended my stay due to a typhoon and they were very accommodating. I spent my birthday here in Osaka and this place was nothing short of amazing.

Yelp
This was def my favorite hotel that I stayed in Japan. Well, I guess I only stayed in like two hotels, but this one was so accommodating to English speakers. They have restaurants, TWO breakfast buffets, a Godiva store downstairs by the entrance, and you can buy your Universal tickets here instead of at the park (which I highly recommend because there will be a line. ALWAYS. EVERYWHERE) The hotel is in quite a popping area, as well.

Yelp
Wow, incredible customer service from all of the staff at Hotel Nikko. They will run to you coming into the lobby to help with luggage and walk you up to your room carrying all your luggage as well. The rooms are definitely larger than what we were used to in Japan so that's a major plus. The beds were comfortable and it was nice and quiet. The hotel was really nice. Sadly we only got to stay one night.

Yelp
Being married to a Japanese woman who is from Osaka, we have been coming here for over 18 years now each and every year and on our most recent trip to Japan we were treated to a most unexpected surprise. We were surprised to find out that our rooms were upgraded for our two three night stays on separate occasions here in this hotel and we were very shocked because that has never been done before. I never thought that we would ever get a room upgrade because we never asked, but they should know that we come here every year so i think we should at least deserve some type of reward for our loyalty here. But this year i don't know if they changed the General Manager here or Front Desk Supervisor but we left the Nikko Hotel this year very happy people and that's why i'm writing this review as soon as we arrived from Osaka to Honolulu today. So my wife asked why we got a room, upgrade and our front desk person said it's because we have been coming here for the past 15 years and that's the reason for the upgrade. So we asked if we could request for this particular wider room because as a big guy like myself from Hawaii, i love the spacious rooms of the Nikko Hotel but this room was just the perfect size for the two of us considering we bring a whole lot of goodies back to Hawaii because we only come here once a year and this room 1701 was such a nice room especially for Japan standards. So that front desk lady programmed our names in so when when we come here next year, she will have that room request made available to us and that made me very happy that after all this time coming we are finally being recognized and being in the tourism industry in Hawaii that is first class service on Nikko's part. As for the location here, the reason why i love it here is the proximity to the Takashimaya Department which is only one stop after the Shinsaibashi line or you can even walk there, also the Daimaru Department store is right across the hotel. Also you can walk through Dotonbori and see the beautiful night lights with the Glico Man and Asahi lights all lit up. And if it's eating spots you are looking for, there are tons of place you can go that are only a hop, skip, and a jump away from this place. I also like the fact that we have tons of luggage stuffed with goodies to take back to Hawaii with us and there is an Airport Limousine Bus right in front of the Hotel that will take us back to Kansai Airport which is a relief for us. And i will say the porters here are very efficient and professional. They always help us with our heavy bags when we leave without complaining and even put perishable things in the freezer for us before we go back to Hawaii and that is first class service if you ask me. And everyone in this hotel is always eager to please and they are always at your service and that is Japanese standards all the way. They truly run a first class hotel here. I really appreciate the service here over the years and that's why we stay here every year but after getting our rooms upgraded for the first time this year, we will definitely be making our stay at Nikko Hotel in Osaka a permanent place to stay instead of going to the Swissotel in Nankai. So the hotel staff at the Nikko Hotel Osaka, Thank you very much for the wonderful hospitality and to the General Manager running this Hotel, please keep up the great standards that Nikko Hotel upholds... Aloha, Ramfis and Misao Benigno

Yelp
Rooms are incredibly clean, location is great (very close to all the shopping and dontonburi) and customer service is professional and personable.

Yelp
Now why would a person who LIVES in Osaka offer a hotel review? What can he possibly know about hotels in the city he resides? Well...I like staying in hotels. Also, given my line of business I have to know what hotels are crap and which are not. NIKKO is the real deal. Great staff and lovely service. VERY CONVENIENTLY located in Shinsaibashi..., close to shopping centers, clubs, bars and all the stuff you want to get into. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Osaka.
