We stayed for two weeks and had easily the best holiday ever. It's a wonderful family business that provides the best of Croatia. The hotel is great, very comfy for its size and impeccably clean; the restaurant is second to none; the staff are amiable in a way that cannot be faked; and the area is quiet, never overcrowded, and you can get a good rest at night even with the balcony doors open. The beach across the road is great, and you get free sunbeds and parasols and beach towels, so there's no need to go anywhere else. We will definitely return for years to come. A massive THANK YOU to the proprietors and all the staff, can't wait until next summer!

Absolutely wonderful in every way. The location is quiet, so the area is not overcrowded, and you can get a good rest at night even with the balcony door open. The local beaches are great, especially the one just across the road, and the residents get free sunbeds and parasols and beach towels, so there's really no need to go anywhere else. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, approachable and personable. It's a family business, and the atmosphere is great, permeated with the kind of amiability that you cannot fake or find in a larger resort. The premises are impeccably clean, and the restaurant is second to none. It's an oasis of real old-time Croatia, and we plan to return for years to come.

We stayed at Hotel Niko for one night on our way to Dubrovnik. We could not have been happier with our room, the location and the friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. We loved the traditional decor in our room and the lobby area. The young woman who checked us in gave us directions to the old town, showed us on a map where to park and where we could attend Easter services. We would definitely have liked to stay longer.

Pros: excellent top notch personal service. Couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Clean. Good location. Beautiful setting. Nice restaurant. Reasonable drink prices as well. |Cons: old and needs maintenance. A/C didn’t work although they tried to fix it. Hotel is quite dated and needs a refresh. They allow smoking in the bar inside and the stench drifts up through the entire hotel. That was hard for us. Croatia has lots of smoking, so we expected that, but not usually inside. The internet connection came and went as well. |Overall good. Hopefully you’ll at least know what the situation is through this review so you can decide if it’s for you or not.

We greatly enjoyed our three-night stay at this comfortable hotel, with its nostalgic vintage appeal and plush décor.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the historic center. Ordering an Uber to Old Zadar was very easy. The rooms were spotless and, with their comfortable beds, provided a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. We also enjoyed the beach right in front of the hotel, with its crystal-clear water. The reception staff were very friendly and personable.
Breakfast, served in the opulent dining room with a wonderful view of the ocean and Zadar, offered a variety of fresh and local options. The highlight was the excellent, freshly prepared made-to-order breakfast dishes.
Parking at the hotel is free. We highly recommend this hotel for its quiet location, comfortable accommodations, great value, and delicious breakfast — all of which made our stay truly memorable.

Lovely small hotel. Big, clean rooms. Exceptional service on the reception, as well as in the restaurant. Delicious food of great quality. Parking on the spot available. The beach is right in front.

What a fantastic quality hotel this is, absolutely classic decoration and furnishings and the bedrooms are spotlessly clean, with the hotel being right on the sea front we chose a room with a sea view and large balcony. Breakfast was a selection of cold meats, fruit, cereal and a choice of omelettes or scrambled eggs, more than enough to set you up for the day. The staff are amazing, they were attentive, friendly and very helpful. There are a number of beach bars and restaurants beside Hotel Niko which were lovely for a sundowner or when you come off the beach. The old town is walkable in about 45 minutes or only 10 minutes by taxi which the staff will arrange for you. If you walk in the opposite direction to the town you will find a lovely walk along the sea front with bars and restaurants and the most stunning sunsets. The hotel has an amazing sea food restaurant with a very good menu, we can wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Niko.
