Hotel Nolda

Our tour arranger said there would be a shuttle bus from the train station to the Hotel Nolda. In fact, after a 30-minute wait for the bus, watching the other hotels’ drivers pick up their clients, we found the choice was to pay 20CHF (one way) for a shuttle bus - or take a 30-minute walk with our bags. So, please factor in the cost (or inconvenience) of getting to and from this hotel; other hotels might be much more suitable for train travellers. The first room we were given had only lukewarm water and no bedside power sockets. Ultimately, the bedroom - after we moved rooms - was comfortable and breakfast was good. All things considered, I wouldn’t stay again.

1) Family of 3 room very spacious with great mountain view 2) toilet with bath tub, shower room can’t hardly move around too small 3) room bed / pillow dusty 4) breakfast limited choice 5) limited dinner / lunch menu in hotel 6) city centre better choice 7) bus very convenient 8) in the room did not provide hot water for tea / coffee 9) no store nearby for grocery except pump gas mini store. 10) staff very nice 11) do get the pass from hotel to travel freely on bus as well as some of the the cable car rides. 12) All TV channel has no English language except BBC 13) Good to incorporate welcome drink when your guest arrive after a long train ride. 14) if checking out early (before 6:30am) take note lift does not work

The hotel is ok budget friendly and quite clean.|However, The heat was unbearable at night during our stay. We had to keep the windows open to be able to breathe. Also, the employees never informed us that we need to return our ski passes and the next day that we were home charged us with 100 CHF extra for not bringing them back. When we tried to explain that we weren’t aware of it and maybe they need to reconsider they were super unkind.

Had a nicely-accomodated overnight stay; the hotel keeper was truly attentive, the breakfast was pleasant, the room was spacious, the bathroom is clean (equipped with a much-needed cleaning basin), the view is amazing (we were given a mountain and riverside view), and everything else in between was enjoyable 👍 We didn't come to ski but the hotel has a strategic location for ski-ers. The elevator may be small, but that's the only 'issue' I could find. All in all, danke and kudos to the hotel keeper, again!

Rooms are ok - but no amenities (no coffee, no tea, no kettle, no laundry bag, etc.)|Staff is EXTREMLY UNFRIENDLY - especially the reception staff. |Very bad smell in the hallway (smells like raw sewage).|Only 1 slow lift for the whole property - sometimes waiting 5+ minutes.|Location is convenient (near signal Cable-car).|Would not stay there again.

We stayed in the hotel in early December. We were welcomed by very friendly staff, we stayed in a lovely room of high standard, there was a very convenient ski room in the hotel and the location of the hotel is super close to the ski lifts which was very convenient. Our highlight of the stay was the amazing waiting staff, they were very friendly and the food was always delicious, we felt like we were part of a family. Thank you for the very warm welcome and we would definitely recommend staying in this lovely place.

Probably one of the best value-for-money hotels in town. Very cozy interior, 1min walk away from the ski lift, free parking available, also, great breakfast. Highly recommend this place.
