Awesome place to stay, very spacious, clean and well maintained rooms rightly priced at a very good location. Very courteous and friendly staff. Restaurant food is very good especially the hand made flat noodles. Good spread of buffet breakfast.

Very good hotel with big clean rooms. Some executive rooms overlook the street and you have a view of the archery grounds as well as the mountains. The reception staff are welcoming, hospitable, polite and helpful. The room upgrade was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is excellent, and its staff are helpful, and will accommodate your food requirements if possible. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

We visited the place quite some years back when the hotel was starting up. Unlike the unpleasant experience, many visitors have mentioned here, we had a terrific one. Firstly, we got a free upgrade to one of the luxury rooms with an amazing view. The hotel was impeccably clean, well-stocked, and with amazing staff. Secondly, the lobby and reception areas were fabulous with small candles and flowers all around. They had two laptops, to be used freely by guests, a tiny library, and a live band performing every evening. Yes, the food was very expensive. But that's how it is across all of Thumpu unless you decide to eat the local meals. We had the luxury room for 2 nights and then had to shift to our booked room, which was kind of cramped up with absolutely no view. So yes, with the money we spent that time, our regular room would have been slightly disappointing and the food could burn a hole in your pockets. Thankfully the upgrade served us well.

We booked the hotel after reviewing trip advisor's review, but to our surprise everything was different. When we reached hotel, it was completely dark with no lights and no one came to assist for almost 10 minutes even after calling. Check-in was done and we informed the girl named Kazang to give us hill/ road view. She confidently said it's a hill view. Upon reaching the room in pitch dark where another surprise was waiting for us, there was no hill, no road rather someone's toilet was visible. |We informed the girl Kazang about it and she started shouting on top of her voice and arguing that we have to stay in that room only as the hotel is full. I have never seen such a hotel staff in my life, she was very rude and mannerless. Some more staff came out and she started talking to them in their regional language and we informed her to speak in English, she raised her voice and tone and shouted more loudly stating she doesn't know English and she'll not talk in English. When we informed her to call manager/ owner, she refused saying they are out of city and no-one is there. |After 20-25 minutes of this drama another staff came and informed to shift our room in evening. |Room was spacious because we booked executive category. Breakfast was horrible. |I would request everyone not to go to this hotel as it will be wastage of money and you'll ruin your trip.

I stayed twice here in June and November 2019. Every time my experience was amazing. The hotel offers great service and nicely decorated rooms at affordable prices in Thimphu. Further, the location of hotel is very close to the main market and offers a view of stadium. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. Looking forward to stay again with Hotel Norbuling on my next visit to Bhutan. :)||||Ps: they offer Indian menu in breakfast which was great.

The hotel is located a block from the main street and across the street from the national sports complex. Room was huge (executive room) and on the top floor. The room had a king size bed, sitting area, and desk area. The room also had a safe and a mini-fridge. Great views from 3 big windows. Plenty of heat and hot water. Food was good too. Breakfast had made to order eggs, pancakes, and waffles plus the normal cold items. Highly recommend.

One of the most specious hotels I stayed in Bhutan, rooms are neatly maintained. The staff were warm and cordial. The ambiance and food at the restaurant was good, the complementary breakfast was really nice. Over all it's worth the money you spend and I would highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Thimpu.

It was an excellent 3 night stay here for us.||1. Locations is the best part. It's right in behind clock tower so you can easily walk around. |2. There are many good eating options nearby which are walkable. |3. Restaurant is hotel has limited menu with no bhutanes cuisine.|4. Rooms very clean and spacious. They have heater which I felt wasn't working as expected and bed warmer. |5. Bathrooms are also very clean.|6. Breakfast has a sufficient veg options with all in house breads. But I felt there is a room for improvement here.|7. Service is top notch.
