I stayed at Hôtel Notre Dame in Bordeaux for two nights during a business trip, and overall, it was a good choice for the price. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it offers a solid quality-price balance, making it a great option for a short stay. The room was comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. They also offer room service, which was a nice touch. One thing to note is that there’s no elevator to the third floor, so you have to take the stairs. It wasn’t an issue for me since I was out most of the day, but it’s something to keep in mind. If you're looking for a simple, well-located, and reasonably priced hotel in Bordeaux, Hôtel Notre Dame is a good pick. Just be prepared for the stairs if you have a room on the upper floors!

Situated in the Chartrons, this lovely hotel has been refurbished to blend with this old part of the City. Easily accessible by tram and just 8 stops from St Jean rail station. Our room was on the first floor, just stairs and no lift. Room with en suite bathroom, was a little small but adequate for one night. Desk with kettle but plug was down near the floor! Tea and coffee provided. Bed was very comfortable, good linen and room was very clean. Block out blind at window facing the street which was very quiet. Good location to walk and view antique shops, also church and small grocery outlet. Would recommend!l

Greatly located and well priced. Hotel renovated with respect for the old building which is always well appreciated.

Not only do they fail in providing a satisfactory service, but they also audaciously respond to customer reviews on Google with falsehoods in an attempt to improve their reputation. We rented a room from the 22nd to the 23rd of November, at a rate of €96 per night. On the morning of the 23rd, while we were taking a bath, the water supply was interrupted due to excessive consumption. A staff member from the reception came to inform us of this situation just a couple of minutes before the water supply was cut off. Consequently, we had no choice but to leave the hotel without even being able to brush our teeth. We are certain that we are not confusing your establishment with another; however, we certainly wish we had chosen a different hotel. The least you could do is acknowledge your inadequate service and offer an apology for it.

Great location in the middle of the historic area of Chartrons. Easy to walk everywhere and Bordeaux has fabulous public transport. Hotel room had facilities although the room was rather tight for us. Nice bathroom and separate toilet was a bonus. Stairs gave us a good workout.

Very good location in the area of Chatrons. Center and the train station St. Jean are also very easy to reach. But it was loud outside, even with windows closed. There is no elevator. Our room had many faults and/or idiosyncrasies. There was a light switch at the entrance by the door that did not do anything. We had to turn on the bathroom light so that we could see anything until we reached the end of the room. The light switches by the bed did not work separately, we had to play around with the switches from both sides to make it work. There was a boiling kettle in the room, but it was not plugged. We tried to find a possible outlet for it, but the cable was too short to reach any and we did not want to move the kettle under the table or elsewhere really. The curtains could be moved only from one side to the other and while the high window was open it was impossible to close the curtain and it got stuck constantly, making it difficult to close the window again. The WiFi was patchy. The towel hooks were almost broken off in the bathroom. Water pressure was very low in the shower. The shower gel provided was mixed with water and we had to use a lot to get the feeling to actually have showered with soap. There is no shampoo. Most of the service was very friendly. The breakfast was for a 3 star hotel pretty good.

They should specify that the bath tubs are for showers only, we took a bath and they came from the reception to tell us they were cutting off the water in the room because of the high consumption. We left without being able to washing our teeth after that because they did indeed cut the water off. At almost 100€ per night this is unacceptable.

Norte Dame Church. Close to promenade at river. Staff ; proximity to tram. Nice street with restaurants and cafes . Quite a basic room - not cleaned in my two day stay. Towels shabby and did not look clean. Towel rack over toilet!!! Second night extreme noise from party in flat across from my room. Racket- shouting / music till way after 4 in morning. Didn’t get much sleep !

Yelp
The Hotel Notre Dame sits on the street of the same name, just down from the 14th century church and square also of the same name... It is just a few blocks from the riverfront, and very conveniently located for a pre or post cruise visit to Bordeaux. The neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian friendly. With a nice mix of cafes, boulangeries, and bars nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was small but tidy with a large full bath. The air-conditioning was great and the room well lit. Water boiler and safe and a large flat-screen TV. Very good WiFi as well. No lift, so we were glad to have a 1st floor room and to be traveling light!

Yelp
Good location, but no elevator, so travel light. Reasonably priced hotel two blocks from the waterfront. Look for the twin spires of Notre Dame church. Located in a pedestrian area near antique stores, cafes and restaurants are across the street. Clean room with large bathroom and air conditioning, with a water boiler. Get wifi code BEFORE heading up to your room. Breakfast is offered for an extra charge.

Yelp
The hotel Notre Dame is reasonable priced and conveniently located, seating blocks away from Quincones plaza and surrounded by attractions is great choice. If you arrive from Bordeaux Airport you may take the Bus #1 from the airport which would leave you at Quincones plaza, then you may take a walk to the hotel (10-15 min) or take the tram that would leave you within 5 min. walk to the hotel. In addition, the Tram takes you to and from. WIFI is available at 1.50 euros/day, basic breakfast ( plain croissant, bread and coffee) available at 7 euros per day. The room is very basic, has a TV with local channels, a small shower and a small bed. A fan and a heater is provided; in the summer time you may have to rely on leaving the windows open for a pleasant in room temperature which in some rooms may enable you to hear, at night, the romantic affairs of other guest with full appreciation as in an adult rated movie. The hotel has pleasant staff available which can communicate in English for those non-native guests. Staff is on duty for certain times of the day and on call 24/7. I reserved the room through Email before initiating my journey, please let staff know if you would be arriving after 10pm as there maybe no staff available at time to check you in. Credit card information must be provided through email ( not a common practice for Americans). Notre dame hotel is a basic, clean, convenient, pleasant and reasonable priced for the traveler who needs a secure convenient clean stay on a budget.
