I recently stayed at Hotel Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla for a business trip, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is ideally suited for business travelers, offering a strategic location in the heart of Makassar. This central positioning made it incredibly convenient to attend meetings and explore the city during downtime. The rooms at the hotel are modern and well-designed, providing a comfortable and stylish environment to relax and work. The amenities were top-notch, ensuring a productive stay. The staff was also very attentive and professional, always ready to assist with any needs. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast buffet, which featured a wide variety of foods to cater to all tastes. From traditional Indonesian dishes to Western favorites, there was something for everyone. Overall, Hotel Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla is a fantastic choice for business travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and excellent service.

This is a beautiful hotel in downtown Makassar. I stayed here for one night in July 2023 after returning from Tanjung Bira, before an onward flight to Jakarta the next day. ||I had a huge suite the size of my house with amazing views over Makassar and the mountains in the distance. The bed was luxurious and inviting. The swimming pool was cool and refreshing. The restaurant was very quiet. There were only one or two other diners when I was there enjoying a delicious dinner of fresh fish and rice. Just next to the restaurant there is a coffee house which serves fresh cakes, tea and coffee. I had a very pleasant cake and tea after dinner. ||The only area in the hotel that could be improved is the hot water. While it was luke warm, I found it impossible to get really hot. It might have just been my room, though. ||In summary, I had a very pleasant overnight here and would stay again.

The room is OK. Only the pillow is hard so I sleep without any pillow. More comfortable for me. The bathroom is OK. The breakfast is so so since the restaurant situation like crowded. The chair and the table is not arrange properly, make it looks like not a hotel with 4 stars.

I love this hotel, its our second time. Near to tourist spot easy access. I love the view and the room is so clean. Big thanks to Mr. Tamsir and his team for a very warm welcome I love every service they gave us. Next trip will back at this hotel for sure

As an Accor Plus Platinum member, I found the facilities provided at Novotel Grand Shayla Makassar consistent with those offered at other Accor Hotels worldwide. The complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe room and additional breakfast for two guests enhanced the experience.||The Executive Lounge menu aligned well with my expectations based on previous visits to other Accor Hotels.||Hosting an event for Paskah TELKOMGroup KTI at The Attic on the 15th floor was a remarkable experience. The facilities exceeded my expectations and contributed to the event's success.||I must commend the exemplary service provided by the staff, particularly Mr. Ardi, along with Pak Yadi, Pak Paldi, Mba Wana, and the entire team. Their warm welcome and attention to detail, as well as our collaborative efforts to ensure the event's success, were highly appreciated. The satisfaction expressed by all attendees reflected the quality of service provided.||Furthermore, as a performer, I was impressed by the quality of the Shure microphone provided.||Overall, Novotel Grand Shayla Makassar surpassed my international standards as a meeting planner, with all services and facilities meeting expectations.

Not gonna lie Novotel Grand Shayla Makssar could be one of the best hotels in Makassar. Start from the price is affordable with all the services they gave and their meals were so good… perfect. I was enchanted by their staff were so helpful and friendly. Keep it up Novotel Makassar

All the staff were kind to Japanese tourists.The rooms are large and clean. (However, the water flow was a little slow, probably because the shower drain was clogged.)At the restaurant, the chef explained each dish in detail, so we were able to enjoy delicious traditional Makassar cuisine without any hesitation. I wanted to go to a restaurant in town, but the food was so delicious that I didn't have to.I would like to stay again the next time I visit.I would like to visit at a time other than Ramadan to use the pool and spa and check out the facilities on the 15th floor.I had a great time for 5 days.Thank you!
