Hotel N’vy

Very comfortable hotel with over nice atmosphere. The room was good and I like the open bathroom. The full-height mirror in the shower/bathtub is a nice detail but not if you have confidence problems. Breakfast was good and it passed the scrambled egg test. Could use a slightly bigger variety of cheeses.

We stayed at Hotel N'vy for 4 nights on our recent trip to Geneva and it was great. Below is my comprehensive review of the hotel. ||Good:|- The room is spacious and comfortable. I especially liked the marble flooring in the shower. The room came with all the amenities we needed and soundproof too so we had a good sleep throughout.|- The hotel is in close vicinity to city centre and tram stops if we didn't want to walk. The hotel also provided Geneva travel passes to each of us which covered public transport in the city.|- Breakfast was great with so many options for vegans and vegetarians. It was also open longer which meant we could sleep in till later.|- Staff are great and kudos to reception, concierge and restaurant staff for great service. ||Could be better:|- Parking is expensive with a charge of CHF43 per night. Could be discounted for guests as it's too steep.|- We were only provided 2 bottles of water for the entire stay. Would have been better if bottles were provided for each night of stay. ||Overall a excellent and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

The reception area is lovely as is the bar. Food and drinks all excellent. We had breakfast and bar food and both were delicious. Very quiet when we went. The room was large and quiet, very warm but we could open windows for fresh air. The shower was slightly broken but nothing major. Towels changed daily and bed made. The area around the hotel seemed a little unsafe to us at night but we found a route back from the lake which we preferred - round the back of the hotel rather than through the streets.

The hotel rooms were spacious, with unique quirks, and generally comfortable, although the sleep quality was only okay. Even an option for led lighting of different colours.||The shower was my favourite part of the hotel room. It was great, adjustable power and not what I am used to. Fabulous.||Unfortunately, noise from the street could be heard even with the windows closed, and the room tended to get quite hot with ineffective air conditioning.||However, the staff were exceptional, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which made navigating the hotel hassle-free. ||On the downside, the breakfast offerings were subpar for a four-star hotel, with a limited selection consisting mainly of fry-up food (bacon, mushrooms and sausages from memory), fruit, cheese, bread and cereal. I've been to lower star rated hotels who have offered more. Perhaps the smaller selection ensures the menu isn't too complicated and the food that is there is amazing. ||While the prices were on the higher side, typical for a four-star establishment, the quality of the food was good, although some portions were a bit small.

Lovely room, comfortable bed. Always plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient for Public transport

Great hotel, lovely spot by the lake, close to great restaurants, excellent service and great value for Money. The breakfast was small but ticked all of the boxes, my only complaints which are down to personal preference and not the hotel are All in all, strongly recommend. 1. Rooms are way too warm and despite trying to adjust the thermostat, it did not work. Due to the location, opening the windows just resulted in night long chatter from the hostel a few doors down and traffic noise and didn’t really cool the room down at all. 2. Seemingly the same with every hotel, pillows too soft so they just fold around your face and make it hard to breathe. These are just minor things based on my personal preferences though, otherwise I will definitely be staying here again.

There was a piece of unflushed toilet paper inside the toilet when we just entered the room, which is either a hygiene or safety concern. Not worth it considering the price of the hotel. The tele in the room doesn’t work at all. Worst hotel I ever experienced in Switzerland.

I have to work a lot in the Geneva area, and I’m strongly recommending this hotel next time you stop by. The restaurant is delicious, the vibe is classy but not too fancy. It is quiet and confortable at night. The staff is very helpful. You can tell the manager is paying a lot of attention to the details. Just go for it.
