Hotel Oberland is the place to stay in Lauterbrunnen. It is reasonably priced and you can’t beat the location. Near the bus stop, gondolas, supermarket, and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean and although the rooms are small they have everything you need. My desk window looks right out at the waterfall. The staff is so welcoming and professional. Especially Jenny who has been a great host for the 4 days I have been here. There are more expensive hotels but this is where I will stay again. It also has a superb restaurant that serves a very nice breakfast and has a wide variety of choices on the menu for lunch and dinner. You can’t go wrong staying at Hotel Oberland!! Andy

An absolute gem of a hotel in the most beautiful place on earth. You can expect the pinnacle of hospitality from Stephen and team. Rooms are clean and modest with incredible access to the most scenic parts of Lauterbrunnen. The restaurant serves great food with stunning views of Jungfrau and the cliffs surrounding the Lauterbrunnen valley. I come back every year without fail, one of my favorite destinations in Europe!

Got a balcony view and it was fantastic! Best part of the room. Beds were so-so. One was really soft, the other pretty hard. Shower was small and the curtain tended to cover the drain and/or water leaked somewhat onto the floor. Needs a new design. Small size fully expected.

Google
Hard time rating this. If you’re looking for location, it’s excellent! Right in the heart of Lauterbrunnen with a gorgeous picturesque background. The rooms are VERY dated. Carpet floors, very small run down bathroom, very basic. This would be fine except it’s pricey for what you get. However, Switzerland in general is super expensive. It was also quite loud. You could hear people running around upstairs. If you’re looking for a fancier or newer hotel, I’d stay in Interlaken or Wengen. If you care about location, stay here. The balcony on this room made it for us, so don’t skip out on that. The staff was super friendly, parking and breakfast were also included.

Hotel Oberland – A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Lauterbrunnen I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Oberland, perfectly nestled in the breathtaking Jungfrau region. The hotel boasts an unbeatable location surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery, making it an ideal choice for anyone seeking a memorable Swiss experience. My accommodation was a beautiful twin room with a private balcony that opened up to an incredible view of the Mürren mountains, complete with cascading waterfalls – a view that felt straight out of a postcard. Waking up to that panorama was truly magical. Dining at the Hotel Oberland Restaurant was an equally outstanding experience. Often regarded as the best in Lauterbrunnen, it certainly lived up to its reputation. On the first evening, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak served with crispy fries and fresh vegetables – an absolute delight. The following day, I savored a tender veal dish accompanied by a rich mushroom sauce and authentic Swiss rösti, which was exceptional. From the warm hospitality to the culinary excellence and the unparalleled views, Hotel Oberland exceeded all expectations. Whether you’re here for relaxation, adventure, or simply to take in some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes, this is the place to stay in Lauterbrunnen.

Fantastic location in the center of town, 5-10 min from bus stop, train, town attractions, and all food options. Helpful staff. Enormous room, and maybe the only room choice in town that has three beds and a kitchenette, all at a reasonable cost. Only minor critique — bathroom has a small walk in shower with doors that don’t entirely close. Impossible not to get water all over the bathroom floor, which is causing the floor to begin to sink in.

Rooms were outdated low standard, no elevator, terrible customer service. Just keep in mind this is an actual two star, just above backpacker level. You’re paying for 4 star standard, over 200 Franks, and you’re getting the above. In addition if you have anyone slightly older, they might have difficulty going up 4 steep levels stairs with low ceilings (which was our case). On viewing the room we were so disappointed. The bedding was also way below our standards. We immediately cancelled with Bookings.com, went downstairs, retuned the keys, asked for for a refund & rebooked another hotel. The staff could not bothered and said their manager was not on site to confirm our refund. Over 4 hours later they called us and said their manager is on annual leave and no refund will occur. Definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel. In addition they had already charged us room and tax and parking fee. I usually don’t give bad hotels reviews but I would say pay a little bit more and stay at a more decent place with more considerate staff.

Very nice, no nonsense hotel. Breakfast was nice. Dinner restaurant is nice too but for maybe one dinner. Great location on the main drag of Lauterbrunnen.. very nice porch on the room where you could sit and view alps.

Yelp
Lovely dining area with indoor and outdoor seating with great views. Had the rostï and it was absolutely fantastic! I saw some customers who opted for the fondue and that looked great too! Great location in the valley; close to the Lauterbrunnen station.

Yelp
Dining in the outdoor porch next the to the flowers with views of the alps was great! My husband got the beef rotsi and I chose the pork with mushroom cream sauce. My pork was a little over cooked but still good and the sauce was delicious! The fries were perfect. My husband enjoyed his dish too. Prices were about right for Swiss standards.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious rooms and having the windows/door open to the outside to get that fresh mountain air. The staff was all super friendly and breakfast is included with your stay. We also dined in the restaurant on our first night and had fondue and beer for dinner outside on their charming patio, what more can you ask for!?

Yelp
I didn't stay at this hotel but I did dine here and had the best Rösti I've ever had. I also got Apfel Streusel to-go and it was delicious. The Toblerone homemade mousse is also amazing.

Yelp
The views from our room of the waterfalls and mountains are amazing! Also the rooms are newly remodeled with spacious bathrooms and hot water. Loved our stay here and the valley hiking!

Yelp
We stayed at the crystal place across the street and the rooms were fine with good views. However the food at the restaurant was subpar and seemed like something that was prepackaged. If you just want a place to stay then this place is fine but don't bother eating here. Also they have a rediculous credit card minumums. I was told minimum spend on a card is 25 which is rediculous.

Yelp
We loved the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and Hotel Oberland was the perfect place to stay. Rooms were spacious, very clean, the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful (helped us plan our daily activities, from biking to the nearby waterfalls to hiking in the area). The hotel is located a couple blocks from the train station and has the best restaurant in town (loved the rosti and the fondue). Breakfast is included and the cappucino was amazing. I am not one to write reviews but I fell in love with this place.
