Hotel Oberland

What a place! The hosts Stephen and Rubia were amazing from the minute we arrived. The rooms were cosy and extremely clean. We had dinner in the restaurant every evening, pretty much tried most of the menu and enjoyed it all. Very convenient for both the Murren ski slopes and Wengen. Nice to stay in the valley after a day on the slopes. Wellbeing back.

Long Weekend trip - We left Ireland on Friday and flew to the Amazing Switzerland. When we arrived in Lauterbrunnen we where greeted by the big smiling staff of Hotel Oberland. Such a wonderful stay, staff are friendly, location is Fantastic! Hotel is clean, comfortable welcoming. We spent the weekend sledding, so many options for different routes close by. The restaurant is good, the Fondue is out of this world! I am already planning another trip for December 2026!

The friendliest staff in all of Lauterbrunnen. Barbora & Eweline were just fantastic to us, they made our trip so much more enjoyable. We were only there for the day & all luggage storage lockers were taken. Crazy that in a place where they get 1 million visitors a year they have 20 storage lockers for your luggage. 🤯🤦🏻‍♂️not very smart. And nearly every hotel won’t let you leave luggage but Hotel Oberland did, they were very thoughtful & kind. We ended up having a delicious lunch on the outdoor patio. The food was amazing, the service top notch & the vibes on the patio were cool. Thank you kindly ladies! Until we meet again!

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Oberland. I stayed in the single room with a balcony and found it to be very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but still fine and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was great, however the tables filled up fast and it got really busy for a small area. Being an older building you could hear people in other rooms and also in the room above you. I had no issues late and night. Overall it was a great base to explore the area for a few days.

What a GREAT experience we had in Lauterbrunnen at the Hotel Oberland. From the moment we walked in the staff was just amazing. Younger staff but polished, professional, knowledgeable, kind and genuine with their caring for the guests. I cannot remember all their names but here are a few I did remember: Amanda, Jenny, Gosha, Mirka, Maja, Oscar and Noa. Sorry to those I missed. Location was perfect and the views were breathtaking from our balcony!! Food was great also. The hotel was comfortable and quiet. We always looked forward to coming back at the end of the day. If we ever go back we will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It’s in a fantastic location in Lauterbrunnen, and we were surprised with an upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the waterfall , the view was absolutely amazing. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have a lift, which could be a consideration for some guests.

Location was good, room is ok for the price. Restaurant breakfast service was messy for too many guests and lack of server I guess( ran out of everything including utensils), dinner is expensive and tasted only ok. The worse part is the price of the room and the reception. Their price dropped over half from when we booked on their official website and when we stayed. The rejection was blunt and not nice when we asked about it. Didn't have good experience for the first night hotel stay in Switzerland.

This place is absolutely awful — stay away. The room we were given was nothing like what was advertised. The description at Annex never mentioned that it was across the street, down a flight of stairs, and tucked around the back. On top of that, the bed was a Murphy bed that folds down from the wall — more like something you’d expect in a college dorm than in a hotel. The bathroom was extremely old and outdated, and overall the room felt very budget and uncomfortable. To make things worse, the carpet was dirty, crumbs were left on the floor, there was no blow dryer, no coffee, and the overall amenities were extremely lacking. When we approached staff and even upper management about a refund, they refused. We ended up leaving and found another property that was clean, charming, and had a comfortable bed — exactly what this hotel failed to provide. And after speaking to other guests, we learned they felt the same way about their stay. Do yourself a favor: stay away from this hotel.

Lovely dining area with indoor and outdoor seating with great views. Had the rostï and it was absolutely fantastic! I saw some customers who opted for the fondue and that looked great too! Great location in the valley; close to the Lauterbrunnen station.

Dining in the outdoor porch next the to the flowers with views of the alps was great! My husband got the beef rotsi and I chose the pork with mushroom cream sauce. My pork was a little over cooked but still good and the sauce was delicious! The fries were perfect. My husband enjoyed his dish too. Prices were about right for Swiss standards.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious rooms and having the windows/door open to the outside to get that fresh mountain air. The staff was all super friendly and breakfast is included with your stay. We also dined in the restaurant on our first night and had fondue and beer for dinner outside on their charming patio, what more can you ask for!?

I didn't stay at this hotel but I did dine here and had the best Rösti I've ever had. I also got Apfel Streusel to-go and it was delicious. The Toblerone homemade mousse is also amazing.

The views from our room of the waterfalls and mountains are amazing! Also the rooms are newly remodeled with spacious bathrooms and hot water. Loved our stay here and the valley hiking!

We stayed at the crystal place across the street and the rooms were fine with good views. However the food at the restaurant was subpar and seemed like something that was prepackaged. If you just want a place to stay then this place is fine but don't bother eating here. Also they have a rediculous credit card minumums. I was told minimum spend on a card is 25 which is rediculous.

We loved the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and Hotel Oberland was the perfect place to stay. Rooms were spacious, very clean, the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful (helped us plan our daily activities, from biking to the nearby waterfalls to hiking in the area). The hotel is located a couple blocks from the train station and has the best restaurant in town (loved the rosti and the fondue). Breakfast is included and the cappucino was amazing. I am not one to write reviews but I fell in love with this place.
