I would like to commend Ms Jasmine, the front desk staff who have been accomodating & delivers good customer service. We requested for a late check out & was kind enough to grant our request. She also recommended some places that we can visit near the hotel .Special mention also to Ms Cristina the one in charge in the restaurant during breakfast, who have been friendly & pleasant to deal with. However, we have noted on our first day in the hotel. We requested for bottled waters that we can bring in our room, this guy we did not get his name but he's assigned in the restaurant. This guy charged us for the bottled water, then we later found out that it's for free for the hotel guest/s. We did not call his attention & we did not ask for a refund anymore. We hope that the management addresses this concern to prevent negative guest experiences from being repeated. But the over-all experience was good

Newly renovated, great location right next to metro and bus stops. Service was fantastic and we were upgraded to the signature room for our honeymoon, a very welcome bonus for the end of our trip!

The staff was so easy to communicate with! Appreciate that they speak English, which is so helpful when it’s your first time in a different country. The rooms were nice and we had a great view. We even were able to check in much earlier than 3 PM and were charged $50 to do so. Which is so helpful when you have a red eye flight and arrive at 6:00 AM! Our room was cleaned daily (THANK YOU!) and we always had fresh towels, a nicely made bed, trash taken out, etc… which is such a great feeling when you are out all day walking the city. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic value hotel with lovely staff. Small but comfy rooms with good quality beds and compact but well designed bathrooms. Clean. And the location is great. Easy access to RER and bus routes to take you to all the major sites across the city. Downsides: can be noisy at times. Low rumble from the RER was very audible on the first floor. As was the rain. And the walls are a bit thin. But this is an old building in an old city - most hotels at this price point will have the same issues.

First off this hotel is in a great location. Literally across the street from the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg. 100m from an RER B station (direct line from CdG). Walking distance to Bon Marché, The Pantheon and St Germain. Close to some really good restaurants The rooms whilst not huge were certainly comfortable and there was a very good size bathroom. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and patience. In fact they were outstanding And made the stay so much more special. By the second morning (yes the second) at breakfast my coffee order was ready . Without asking. Not a big deal but just the way the staff paid attention to detail. They are helpful in booking restaurants and recommending. All my wife - and family - can say is ‘thank you’

I want to give special recognition to the staff at Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg. We received such great service from them. They were very patient, helpful, and kind with us and our two kids throughout our whole stay. On our last day at the hotel after checkout, our train to the South of France got cancelled and we needed to wait for 7 hours before we could depart again. Instead of waiting at the cold train station for that long, we contacted the hotel and Jasmine at the front desk was very empathetic. She made sure we felt welcome to come back and hang out in the lobby or leave our luggage there before heading back to the train station when it was time, she gave recommendations, and made sure to offer a backup plan. In a moment of stress, she was such a great help. It made us feel very grateful to have booked our Paris stay withHotel Observatoire Luxembourg.

This might be a more detailed review, as the hotel could be a perfect fit for some but not necessarily for everyone. Let’s start with the location – it’s really good! You have a variety of restaurants, the beautiful Luxembourg Park, and plenty of subway and bus stations all around. For those like me who prefer their coffee from Starbucks, there’s one nearby, and there’s even a restaurant inside the hotel, which is quite convenient. The staff at Hotel Observatoire are genuinely helpful and welcoming. While the hotel doesn’t offer the extensive amenities you might find in an American hotel, the team here goes out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. They are very responsive – any time I had a question or needed to make changes, my emails were answered within 1 to 2 hours by an actual person, not a bot. Now, a quick note about the elevator – it is tiny, but it’s definitely helpful when it’s working. On the topic of the rooms, they are very small. I stayed with my mom, and it was fine since we have a close relationship, but I can’t picture staying there with a friend I’m not super close with, especially since the beds are quite close together. If you’re traveling alone, it could be great, but if you’re sharing the space, it’s something to consider. During our stay, the elevator broke down, and we were on the 5th floor. For some reason – I’m not sure if it’s specific to the hotel or just how things are in France – the elevator couldn’t be fixed over the weekend. This was quite inconvenient, particularly for my mom, who is 70, and going up and down several flights of stairs wasn’t easy for her. The receptionists were kind enough to help with our bags when we left, but it did feel like more could have been done – perhaps repairing the elevator over the weekend or arranging staff to help with luggage. Would I stay here again? Yes, I enjoyed the location and the staff’s hospitality. However, my mom wouldn’t, given the challenges we faced. So, it’s really up to you to decide if Hotel Observatoire is the right fit for your stay.
