Google
I cannot speak highly enough of the beautiful facility and people that make up the Hotel Observatoire. They were always incredibly friendly, polite and welcoming no matter the time of day or staff member that we interacted with. While on the smaller side, the rooms were immaculate, the location is excellent with a metro point being some 20 metres from the front door and the neighbourhood itself feels lovely with a park across the road. It was a genuine pleasure to stay here and have it be my first introduction to Paris.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. So amazing! Highly highly recommend. The hotel has lovely vibes. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Location is fantastic; right next door to Jardin du Luxembourg and the metro is right there. The best part for us was the hotel staff. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel manager, Clara, was fantastic. She really went above and beyond. I was visiting France with my family to celebrate my 30th birthday, and out of all the places we stayed in Paris as well as the French Riviera (Nice area), this place was by far the most memorable. Huge shoutout to Clara and her team. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Loved our stay here! Would give this more than 5 stars if I could.||I had to book a hotel at the very last minute for three people in Paris, which proved to be a challenge. Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg was an incredible find. ||Everything was incredibly clean, very organized and looks just like the pictures. If I could give more stars for the cleanliness alone, I would. |Additionally, all of staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, were very friendly and helpful with all of our luggage and questions. Clara, Gabriel and Rochdi in particular went above and beyond to help us find our way around the city, make local recommendations to us, and book us a taxi for our way back to the airport. ||Great experience - highly recommend.

Google
The hotel was terrific overall, but the defining thing for me was the friendliness and positive communication of the staff. Not being French was not an issue at the hotel because I felt that the staff really made and effort to be accommodating and were extremely helpful throughout. ||Great location to the rail system, but a ticket is required prior to boarding through an app called "Bonjour' and this allows for daily travel on a great rail system.

A really excellent weekend, comfotable, quiet and incredibly friendly and helpful staff; it was my wifes birthday and balloons were left in our room.|Really good connections with public transport; bus stop outside and RER station just across the road. Not the cheapest area for restaurants but they were all very good.|And there's the magical Luxembourg Gardens just across the road. Best to ask how to turn all the lights on in the room, partly our dumness, partly a rather odd system. Room a bit cold but turning up the heat was really easy.

I truly loved this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, and my stay was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.||The room was a bit cold at times, but the warm duvet made up for it and I slept very comfortably.||Overall, a lovely stay — I would happily return.

Recently refurbished, a great location just a minute from RER Luxembourg station. A great team who all seemed happy in their work. Plenty of eating alternatives available in the area if you want to leave the hotel.

Since our last visit the hotel has had an extensive make over which has made a good hotel into a very good hotel in our view||||The reception has been relocated and is much more accessible.||The bar and restaurant area have been changed around and are bright and cheerful.||The rooms have been brightened up and now have electronic locks as opposed to the large old fashioned keys.||our room was bright and airy at the rear of the building with a large double bed, coffee machine fridge .and hair drier||||The bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower good towels and cleanded daily.||||All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.||||This is a good hotel well located for sightseeing and close to many dining options. We will be back again

Yelp
Here is a disclaimer. I didn't stay here, or eat here. All I did was ask for advice on how to reserve a taxi to go to the airport the next morning. They went out of their way to help me- a non-guest, get a cab. They were fabulous! I never expected this kind of help in Paris, but it really is the city of Love, and this is the friendliest front desk in the world. If I knew something nice in French I'd say it it, but I know that my accent would be insulting to all.

Yelp
Paris hotel rooms are small. I'd like to reduce the font on the word "small", to visually depict what you'll feel when you walk in the door. Barring that, imagine a room that's barely bigger than the bed which fills it, with not enough surrounding room to lay out a suitcase without disrupting pathways to the bathroom or the exit door. Then imagine beds with mattresses so comfortable that you're left trying to figure out if a Parisian mattress will be your one big travel purchase. Who cares about room size? You're here to see Paris, not the inside of a hotel room. Still, someone has taken the time to make this hotel and its rooms extremely stylish, immaculate, adorable, and comfortable. My room sat on the top floor, with views out to two streets and views into beautiful Luxembourg Gardens which sits across the street. I quickly declared this the best room in the entire hotel. Great room, great location, great views, great style. And, if you have to get to or from Charles de Gaulle airport, there's a boarding stop right across the street. There you go: convenient, reasonable (about $160/nt total, through Expedia), stylish, Paris. What are you waiting for?

Yelp
This is a lovely, quaint hotel. My family and I have stayed here each time we've come to Paris. The service is very good. The rooms are small, but well appointed. Who needs a huge room in Paris?! The hotel is close to the metro which made it convenient!

Yelp
Stayed here for the beautiful location, within a 20 minute walk of the Seine, Notre Dame, and the Catacombs. The hotel is so narrow that I kept passing it, mistaking it for an ATM. And the room was so small, I couldn't open the door without hitting the bed. This is true. I broke a window just sticking the key in. Ok, that's not true. Last there in 2001, I had to ask for my key upon entrance, Cinq Zero Cinq. It was the only French I spoke, aside from, "tout le monde pue!"

Yelp
I just completed my third stay at the Hotel Observatoire: great location, friendly staff, very good restaurant. I'd like to mention Jessica at the front desk who was extremely helpful to us. She speaks excellent English and made reservations for us at a fantastic restaurant, La Cuisine de Phillippe, located within easy walking distance of the hotel. She also arranged car service to CDG the next day. All done with a smile and professionalism. Breakfast at the adjacent cafe was excellent too. The only drawback is that the rooms are rather small, as others have described. But I think that is typical of many hotels in Paris, and New York for that matter. For the price, I think the Hotel Obs offers a great value. Should I return to Paris, I would definitely stay there again!

Yelp
Listed as a coffee shop (?), but a fantastic hotel. Recently renovated, within walking distance to the Latin Quarter and very American friendly. Had a fantastic stay here!

Yelp
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, and cute! Of course it's small, it's Paris. We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy. Easy to walk everywhere, but a bit away from the super busy areas which we liked.

Yelp
I stayed in this hotel for a few nights with my fiancé and we loved it! The room is spacious for Paris. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a great view since our room was on the top floor (only 5 floors). The staff was friendly and they speak English. I would highly recommend this hotel! It's in a great part of Paris with the Luxembourg Gardens across the street.
