Great location. Some toilet rooms a bit strange due to the shape of the building and indoor atrium. Only one TINY elevator for 8 floors. Only holds 4 people at the most without bags. Hotel has wifi but they have an overly complex/horrible login process. Can’t be done without cell service since it requires an email validation. Never seen such a horrible and client unfriendly system. Good breakfast but small breakfast room that can be busy.

I stayed for three nights. The hotel is beautiful but my room layout was a little strange and cramped in the toilet room which was separate from the shower. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices.

A great location on the edge of the pedestrianised old town. The hotel itself has the most incredible 1930’s staircase. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a separate seating area which was great for reading and planning the days activities. Breakfast was ok - not as good as some of the other hotels we have stayed in on our tour across Northern Spain though. However it really shouldn’t put you off staying. My only little criticism is that the bathroom had some black mould on the grout and sealant. The place was really clean so that isn’t the issue- I just have a ‘thing’ about black mould in bathrooms.

Great location in the center of all the sights. Staff was terrific. Easy check in, recommendations for bars and great parking options.

I still find it hard to believe a hotel would put guests in the room I was allocated. It looked out onto a rooftop (at the same level as the room's floor) covered with pebbles, weeds and trash. There was also a clothesline with periodic laundry put out to dry from adjacent buildings. The room was always dimly lit because you had to keep the drapes closed for privacy and to avoid the unattrative view. (See photos.) It also didn't feel that safe, as anyone standing on the roof would be inches away from the tall room window, protected ony by metal bars that covered it partway up.||The hotel's public areas were attractive, so I'm sure it includes some equally attractive rooms. I was told no alternative to mine was available.||The hotel has a breakfast room but no bar or restaurant. There is no ramp from the street to the check-in area, and there is only one elevator inside. (In fairness, though, I'll note that I never experienced a lngthy wait for it.)||Of course you don't spend a lot of time in the hotel when visiting an interesting city like León, and I give credit to this hotel for its convenient location. But I wouldn't want to stay there again.

Great location and size of rooms. Breakfast is also ok. The only point to improve are the TVs. They are old models, very small size and there is no possibility to connect own applications through mobile phone or smart tv functions.

Good location, 15 min. from the train, and adjacent to the histórico centro. We had a Junior suite, and the room size was fine. We did not take “advantage”of the €16 per person breakfast as we ate for a total of €8 across the street at a local cafe. For a 4 star hotel, there were no guest robes or slippers in the room, the bath products were of low quality, no Kleenex, and the toilet paper single ply. The material on the couch in our suite was tired and needed repair. I don’t know how a handicapped person could access this hotel as there is no ramp at the door, and we saw no elevator to climb the 10 or so steps to reception. We have stayed in Barceló hotels before, but this one was of the poorest quality.

We stayed here two nights on our two week northern Spain/Portugal trip with 14 people in our group. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices. Coffee was a little difficult to figure out and was quite strong. The bed was nice and firm, and we had plenty of storage space. Be sure to ask for a key to your room safe. Bathtub leaked water around the glass panel. Excellent location. Wifi was iffy. Would return.

Yelp
For the price, you can't beat this hotel. It would cost you three or four times as much in the states. The front desk people were also a most helpful concierge. They couldn't have pleased us any more. Very beautifully decorated....very modernistic (interior design). My favorite ..the bidet. The location is unbelievable...there is no better spot, none. Lot's of Camino pilgrims make this place their stop.....to rest for the next "leg" of "the way".
