Hotel Odisej Mljet

This was by far the plainest of the 6 hotels we stayed in on the holiday.However , we were staying 2 nights bed & breakfast , & it was comfortable enough for this although the room was a little tired it was clean , & the glorious view & very comfortable beds redressed the balance sheet favourably. We also enjoyed the seaside bar area which was super to swim off. The reception team were very welcoming too.We bought our National Park ticket vouchers from them : this is a stunning place to explore , particularly at this end of the season : I cannot recommend this enough .The Odisej is an entirely satisfactory ( to us anyway) base for this exquisite island.Positioned right by the Ferry stop too.

So grateful we were able to get upgraded to a sea view room, as with a foot sprain couldn’t go far from hotel. Five star response. Beautiful location, lovely views, some great restaurants nearby - also worth 5. Room was basic however but lovely view. Bed comfortable with good linen. Bathroom is awful and shower is very small and quite tricky to get in/out. We are small but still tight space. No shelf in shower for your own products, water temp varies. No kettle in room - missed coffee dreadfully. Breakfast was just ok. Shame you can’t get an espresso with your breakfast. Selection is a little more limited than some hotels (we missed fresh tomatoes one day) but bread and croissants abundant Never seen so many guests sneaking food out & cutting masses of bread to make sandwiches to take away 😂 This is 5 for location and 4 for reception staff but room is basic and shower and breakfast are not as good as in a good 3 star hotel. But for two nights it’s comfortable.

For many years now, I have been coming to Hotel Odisej every summer, sometimes even twice a year. Sometimes holiday, and sometimes business. The island is beautiful, the hotel offers top-notch food, cleanliness and hygiene standards are excellent. The staff is outstanding and always ready to assist. I will definitely be coming again next year, in 2025. Antonija

For us Hotel Odisej is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Set in the beautiful national park on Mljet we spent our days walking, swimming and snorkelling as well as relaxing. We found the hotel reception staff to be friendly, efficient and professional, and the food in the restaurant - which is buffet style - to be of high quality with plenty of options for every taste. Our room with balcony and sea view was perfect, and spotlessly clean. We made new friends and we can't wait to return in 2025.

I stayed at Hotel Odisej this past summer and it was so wonderful! The staff was very hospitable and friendly, the food was delicious, and the nature/views were so relaxing - exactly what I needed to unwind. I will definitely be back soon and I can't wait

When there's only one choice of hotel in town then it's a safe bet it's not going to be great. Unfortunately, this hotel looks and feels like it was built in the 70s and hasn't been touched since.||However, if you can get over the dated decor, poor upkeep and wobbly furniture, the hotel is in a beautiful setting on the waterfront, adjacent to the ferry dock. All the staff we encountered were lovely and the essentials of working air conditioning and good shower were present.||The biggest disappointment was breakfast - amoungst the worst buffet breakfasts we've had, everything of very poor quality, minimal fresh options and what there is is not restocked fast enough to cope with the demand.||The island of Mljet itself is lovely, we would recommend a visit - just stay somewhere else!

The only good thing is the location. The hotel itself is very old, dirty and needs to be redone. If you stay here make sure to get a room with a balcony sea view. Make the stay a bit better. You only need to stay on this island for one night to see everything you want.

To be fair there are not a lot of hotel options on Mljet. But this was a terrible experience. The room was tiny with 3 beds shoved into it. All of the furniture was old, damaged, and stained. Even the walls within the closet were stained and damaged. The bathroom had a hair dryer that was connected to the wall/from the 60s. Completely unworkable. All common areas were painfully warm and stuffy - lobby, buffet restaurant. I was glad we were only there for one night, and would not recommend this to anyone.
