Hotel Odisej Mljet

Lovely view of bay from room. Half board was fine. Good variety, seafood risotto brilliant. Staff friendly and helpful. No pool, but has its own loungers etc along the excellent seafront. Nice comfy bar by the water, which was crystal clear with plenty of safe access points. Hotel's right by the landing pier with ferries to Dubrovnik and Split/Korčula. Lots of Croatian tourists in hotel and not many Brits, which is nice. They like their food! Also, ok for all age groups. Good value overall, though transfers were lengthy but well organised.

This small hotel, is quite perfectly stuck in the past, and overlooks the adriatic. The balcony for dining has a splendous view, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and contain all the amenities you could ever need. Everything was clean, homey, and the staff were incredible.

Stay at this hotel if you are going to spend time in the water and the National Park. This is not your Marriott or Hilton, but rather a hotel in a great location with easy access to the ferry, the cystal clear water and the National Park. Yes, it is a little dated and well used, but the team (Eddie @ the front desk, LindaLita in the front office and others) will provide you terrific service. Breakfast is better than average as well. ||TIPS: |1) IF YOU HAVE a TICKET TO THE NATIONAL PARK - The Hotel can extend the # of days for your pass without you having to pay for day!!! This is a HUGE TIP!|2)The chairs on the deck for reading near the bar are scarce during the day. Despite the posting of not saving chairs, it happens pretty much all day. Get there early or at lunch. |3) You can dive into the water from the deck near the kiddie pool. It is deep here.|4) Bar Service, could definitely use an attitude adjustment. Service is slow and not very friendly. The hotel could make improvement hear.|5) There is plenty of seating indoors and out for breakfast. There are signs saying to not take the food out of the venue...Not sure why they have them since almost everyone I saw was packing lunch. I would get rid of these signs and improve the quality of the hotel and rating.|6) You don't have to go anywhere else for Sunset. Just head down to the bar and patio.||Glad we stayed here. Super convenient, bed was better than average and the staff was very helpful. You won't find a better location on Mljet with access to the NP.

We've had the best holiday! The location of the hotel is excellent, the buffet is generous and the staff looked after us very well. The hotel itself is tired and ready for refurbishment but it's clean and it has a personal touch and an old fashioned charm. We would definitely come back! Thank you Hotel Odisej!

Loved this spot. Easy access from ferry and to the national park. The aesthetic is more vintage, but charming, and clean. I appreciated the eco friendly practices- no small plastic soap bottles, instead larger refillable bottles of nice non-toxic soap. Breakfast was excellent, good strong coffee and a huge assortment of breakfast options. Great deck by the sea with a pool. I would stay here again.

It was our third stay here.. Everything was so good.. So much choice in the restaurant and the staff were all so helpful and kind. I know the hotel needs updating but everything worked for us..we didn’t spend much time in our room as there was so much to do in the island but the bed was very comfortable plenty of hot water in the bathroom and wonderful views from the terrace... I didn’t notice one unhappy guest when we were there.. no complaints from us at all and hope very much to return..

This was our second visit to Hotel Odisej. The first one was almost 40 years ago when hotel was new and we even do not remembered how it had been. But we knew it was good and we are "ashamed" we couldn't come earlier again!. We were not disappointed this time, too. We like the beautiful scenery, the pine trees, swimming in the clear sea, sitting early in the morning at the bar overlooking the sea when nobody is there. The hotel is very clean, the rooms comfortable but we have our grandson with us and the double room , was the triple so a bit smaller but it was fine for us. The hotel is a little " old" but it has everything you would need and we really enjoy our stay. Regarding the food I just missed coffe machine as I like cappuchino in the morning, but there is the little shop nearby so I bought it there ( there are bars at the hotel but it is early morning at 8:00 a.m. and they start to work at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. ) . I had the cappuchino, too, later at the beach bar, also very good one. The food is good and our grandson who eats bad also always found something good to choose. Since I do not eat dinner they even gave me the voucher to eat lunch at the hotel pizzeria which was reall very kind. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and efficient. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed for 3 nights July 29,30,31 ,2025. The rooms are small, old, dated. Beds were rock hard. Air conditioning was not working. They brought us a fan to use. Bathroom shower is the smallest yet we’ve experienced in Europe- had to open the shower door to wash my hair. Buffet for breakfast and lunch has limited fresh produce and uses frozen and canned vegetables and fruit. Location was great. ‘Beach access’ to the sea was fantastic with beach chairs and towels. Pictures on the site are deceiving. This hotel is in desperate need of upgrades for function and esthetics
