Great location right in town. The beach is lovely and plenty of lounge chairs. Service depended on who was on - the woman wasn't helpful at all, wouldn't even give us an extra towel, told us 1 per day. When she left, I asked the vuy and he gave me one. They are attached to a nice bar. Bed hard, mattress thin, towels rough, no washcloths. It was clean and I loved the beach and location. I think it's priced right for the value.

This "hotel" is the worst place where I have stayed for a night. I needed to go to Puerto Morelos and searching I found these hotel and it seemed like a prefect place, perhaps for some people would be because is located right next to a public beach and next to the tourist zone. The room where I first stayed was horrible, there wasn’t water coming out of the washbasin and the shower. On the closet the was a dead insect, also there was no wifi on the room. When we asked for another room the receptionist was very friendly and gentle. The other room wasn’t much better but we had water and wifi. Don’t waste your time and money if you’re looking for something good, these place is perfect If you just want to stay for a night or if you are ready to stay on a place that’s 4/10 for that price.

It's a 1 minute walk to a great beach. Rooms are super basic. Fresh shower and beach towels daily. Beach drinks are great. Spend the day at the Dia and Noche club for better food and chairs, it's worth it.

I stayed at this hotel one year ago and it seems the hotel has removed my post. I was initially kicked out of my lounge chair for non hotel guests using the beach club. There is certainly more attention given to people just using the beach club rather than hotel guests. 3 of my 6 nights there there was loud construction at all hours of the night . When I asked about this, they stated that it would no longer happen although it did. Hearing the sou d of a chainsaw at 3am was not what I expected. I asked for a refund for the 2 nights since I was not able to sleep and they agreed but I never received a payment and they blocked my number to contact them. The location is indeed fantastic but all the difficulties with the staff made it horrible. I see many others have left bad reviews as well. Please beware.

You can tell the hotel is old and could really use some renovation. The furniture was pretty worn down, there was NO HOT WATER and it tasted salty :( Besides this, you get what you pay for. Location is amazing and for having a pool and access to the beach, price range is not too bad.

The safe was not working, as well as the toilet. It was clean and large room. Outdated and old. Right on the beach and close to everything.

I give this 4 stars plus. The folks at the front desk are awesome as is house keeping. We did not eat here or drink at the bar, so I can’t speak about the staff there. First off for the reviewers complaining about blood stained towels / sheets. I don’t know where they come from but I rarely, anywhere see masses of people bleeding all over the place. Certainly not here. The stains you may see are from rust. Iron and salt water do not go well together. Iron oxidizes / rusts. Introduce salt water and its rust on steroids. While there may be a bloodstain on a towel or sheet, who knows? And blood has iron in it, so a blood stain may look like a rust stain on laundry. All of the laundry we touched here smelled like clean laundry, just like a fancy schmancy hotel’s laundry. If you have ever owned a boat or lived near the ocean, you know how salt water / wind / sunlight is working overtime trying to destroy everything. Rest easy, you are getting an exceptional value at this hotel. It’s a great beach location (sargassum season is what it is.) The neighborhood is lively and music can play late at night on weekends, but that just means folks are having fun and you should be out there having fun too. As for hot water, it’s not scalding hot, but warm enough for a comfortable shower. The bed was comfortable and I slept almost 9 hours my first night, a Saturday night. The air conditioner was perfect, amazing. We enjoyed our stay and will DEFINITELY come back here.

The room was more than fine. Mini fridge was cold, air conditioning worked great, beds were ok. Yes the showers are not hot but we were fine with lukewarm. Sure it’s not new but they kept everything super clean and the staff were great. My only big complaint was the lack of cleaning for the pool and the pool area. The pool at the second property was maintained but the smaller pool at the main hotel was not cleaned at all. It also needs new furniture and some loungers. The beach area also could have used some maintenance in terms of garbage and many of the chair cushions are in dire need of replacement. The new kabanas at the second property look amazing and will likely stay there next time. All in all it’s an incredible location with great staff and super affordable.

Yelp
Be careful when they stay at the hotel ojo de Agua because they stole my electronics and my personal items in the hotel they opened my room and opened the safe deposit box they stole everything I had inside and more personal things They don't give me their face they don't want to hold them responsible and they take a very despotic attitude. Police said it's not the first time they have many cases from customers from Hotel Ojo de Agua police said that the employees from the hotel are covering all .

Yelp
Great location beds are ok staff super nice however, Booking. Com or Ojo de Agua placed our reservation for only 2 when we're a family of 4 and charged us the difference which was more than the room itself.

Yelp
First time in Cancun, we went to Puerto Model is, beautiful town, nice people and this new hotel was perfect to stay. In front of the beach, chairs, towels, and shadow to expend the day doing nothing, except listen to the waves. I will recommend Ojo de Agua Hotel if you really want to take a quite time for you. The staff was very friendly. Mrs. Maria always want to do something special with the towels. I will recommend to come to Puerto Morelos. I recommend to rent a car at the airport and travel all the places you want to go or just stay in front of the beach.

Yelp
After a long hot walk we were delighted to find this quiet, sleek, cool oasis. The atmosphere and the aesthetics created an awesome laid back vibe and dining experience. Reminded me of something you find in Malibu. We came at the perfect time (nobody was in the restaurant) and enjoyed the quiet and the overall surroundings. The space is open , has great natural lighting , and back entrance leads to the beach. The menu offers a huge selection of natural fresh juices and smoothies, over two pages. My favorite part of the meal was the Be Happy smoothie. We order the guacamole, the house salad and the Nelson Mandela sandwich (grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and peri-peri sauce.) Although the portions were generous and made with the freshest ingredients we were not that overwhelmed. However the general vibe, service, and presentation were all 5 star worthily.
