This place is dingee and has very few amenities. No hot water. No coffee. No drinking water when we arrived. We woke up to sewer smell coming from the shower. We were told to go to the beach club for seats with our wrist bands. When I got there the staff said they were all reserved but they were not full. When my boyfriend’s Mom asked them they said she could sit by the bar. Let’s just say you get what you pay for. It might be slightly better than camping

I had a nice stay at Hotel Ojo De Agua in Puerto Morelos. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and close to the town's shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist. The rooms are basic but clean, safe, and comfortable—perfect for a no-frills getaway. The showers are warm, not hot, but still refreshing after a day at the beach. For the price, you get great value. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant at the beach club where you can enjoy breakfast with a view. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxed, budget-friendly stay.

After decades of vacationing in Mexico, I can definitely say that this was the worst value for money I’ve ever experienced. The first room we had was dank, no views, no security, in that you could lean against the sliding door to the balcony and it would have collapsed, noisy air conditioner, right outside on a rooftop, and no hot water. After three nights, we moved rooms in search of hot water. We had no hot water for our entire holiday. Paid way too much for this room and staff just shrugged their shoulders as in it’s Mexico. No drinking water available and no cups in the room. Correction, you could buy drinking water in the restaurant for a price higher than one would pay in Canada.

a review of this hotel. well if you can call this a hotel you are not right. first they manipulate the stars that are on google. good, a small summary of what is wrong. - staff anything but competent and not friendly. - cold water - lying to guests that they have not returned items or have broken them when this was not the case. - mold everywhere in both the bathroom and the bedroom itself. They tried to get rid of this by painting over it. - heavy overdue maintenance, actually no maintenance over the past 20 years. - no curtains. - Some rooms have no electricity, which often cuts out. - after a heavy rain shower, water runs from outside to inside both the balcony and the ground floor. - toilet facilities that do not run or continue to run are indicated at the reception. 0.0 was responded to, let alone resolved. In a word, ridiculous for words, this is not a hotel, it should not even be called that. 1 star for the location so close to the beach.

It's a good deal for the price. Rooms smell and little molding? Sure. Bathrooms need updating? Absolutely. But you want to pay literally five times as much to stay a half mile up the beach? The beds are comfortable, the AC works just fine. Download some movies on your iPad, don't waste your time and bug the staff trying to deal with the TV issues. Just chill. Get you salt on. Save some money.

Don’t trust the photos or their videos as it’s nothing like that. Don’t eat at their beach restaurant; Cost $40 Canadian for 6 small tasteless tacos that they forgot we ordered and eventually brought to us cold. So disappointed with our stay. When I pointed out the price we paid ( used airmiles so the calculation per night was ridiculous) nobody cared. Why would they?

A hotel of extremely poor quality. Mold in the bedroom, bathroom and halls. Stale air throughout the hotel. Stains and urine on the toilet seat and toilet paper. If you are lucky you will get curtains in the room with stains and holes in them, if you are unlucky you will not get any and the entire hotel can see into your room. The towels and bed linen also have stains. Smoke detectors are missing. Cracks in load-bearing walls causing the hotel to be structurally unsound. Check whether your sliding door can be closed, many rooms do not have a lock. Staff will come to your room unannounced to fix things. This is not pleasant in connection with other reviews where items disappear from travelers. Beach beds are scarce, if you have one the cushions to lie on are broken and dirty. In 1 building we had no hot water and hardly any water pressure during our entire stay. This makes showering and flushing the toilet almost impossible. However, water does come out of the sockets, which is quite dangerous. The hotel also indicates that you can use the WiFi, but it did not work. The hotel has 4 stars on Google and 2 on booking.com, I don't think they agree yet. All in all, a hotel I will not return to. The worst hotel in Mexico. I wouldn't book here.

CATFISHED! Pictures are from at least 30yrs ago! Smelly septic and mildew. Changed leaking room it was so bad. We love Mexico and stay everywhere. This was a building in ruins. 2 sheets 2 old towels and lukewarm water. Water was rusty. No pool, beach chairs broken. Owners should close and fix this!! We stayed only one night. Beach bar next door saved our day Good chairs and umbrella, drinks, food.

Yelp
Be careful when they stay at the hotel ojo de Agua because they stole my electronics and my personal items in the hotel they opened my room and opened the safe deposit box they stole everything I had inside and more personal things They don't give me their face they don't want to hold them responsible and they take a very despotic attitude. Police said it's not the first time they have many cases from customers from Hotel Ojo de Agua police said that the employees from the hotel are covering all .

Yelp
Great location beds are ok staff super nice however, Booking. Com or Ojo de Agua placed our reservation for only 2 when we're a family of 4 and charged us the difference which was more than the room itself.

Yelp
First time in Cancun, we went to Puerto Model is, beautiful town, nice people and this new hotel was perfect to stay. In front of the beach, chairs, towels, and shadow to expend the day doing nothing, except listen to the waves. I will recommend Ojo de Agua Hotel if you really want to take a quite time for you. The staff was very friendly. Mrs. Maria always want to do something special with the towels. I will recommend to come to Puerto Morelos. I recommend to rent a car at the airport and travel all the places you want to go or just stay in front of the beach.

Yelp
After a long hot walk we were delighted to find this quiet, sleek, cool oasis. The atmosphere and the aesthetics created an awesome laid back vibe and dining experience. Reminded me of something you find in Malibu. We came at the perfect time (nobody was in the restaurant) and enjoyed the quiet and the overall surroundings. The space is open , has great natural lighting , and back entrance leads to the beach. The menu offers a huge selection of natural fresh juices and smoothies, over two pages. My favorite part of the meal was the Be Happy smoothie. We order the guacamole, the house salad and the Nelson Mandela sandwich (grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and peri-peri sauce.) Although the portions were generous and made with the freshest ingredients we were not that overwhelmed. However the general vibe, service, and presentation were all 5 star worthily.
