The hotel has a good location. This is the only positive thing. The quality of the food is very poor, there is hardly any choice, if something runs out they do not replace it. The rooms need renovation.

- Extremely disappointing experience – not what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel We booked 4 nights in a superior double room expecting a smooth, comfortable stay. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was a complete disappointment. First, check-in took over 60 minutes. Despite this being a supposedly professional 4-star hotel, the reception was disorganized and the staff barely spoke English. When we were finally given our room key, it didn’t work. After going up and down to reception three times, they eventually admitted the key was broken—by then, we had already wasted another 30 minutes. We were then moved to a different room, which turned out to be worse than the one we had booked. After complaining again, they switc

This hotel is a nightmare, literally. If you want a good night sleep, go somewhere else. If you are an all-night movie watcher with loud volume available, and sleep is unimportant, this is the place for you. The walls are thin, the noise of adjoining rooms is everywhere, and the other guests are up all night evey night, slamming doors, talking loud and running up and down the hall till over 0200 every night. We stayed 4 miserable nights. We called and complained on the 2nd and third nights, but nothing happened to change the circumstances. This was our second trip where we stayed in this hotel and it was the same last time. We stayed 2 nights last summer, but we thought we'd give it a second chance, thinking it would be different. We will not stay here again and will gladly pay a little more for a real hotel that cares about all guests and respects enforcement of policies. It was like living in the book Animal Farm. Some are more equal than others, and we are the others. More than likely, you will be too.

The hotel is in a good location. All kinds of transportation options, restaurants, shopping and sights. It is a very large and sprawling hotel. We stayed 2 non-continuous nights. Desk staff all business. I would not call them friendly but they were not rude by any means. Both stays we were in suites which I did not think I had booked. Only too bad that we weren't there long enough to take advantage. The rooms were a bit worn but comfortable. Most hotels we stayed in Russian provided bottled water or accessible water coolers. This hotel provide one bottle per guest at check in. That's all. There was a hot pot for coffee & tea, nice robes and slippers. Bathroom was big but shower was sprayed all over. One night we were in the very last room on the floor. Thought we would never get there. View from the rooms were an inside of the building. Nothing to write about but we were not there long enough for it to matter. Breakfast was pretty disappointing. There were lots of tours groups and the dining room looked like it had been ransacked when we arrived. The staff appeared to try and keep up but they seemed demoralized. There was slim pickings. Most of thecoffee machines were either or such a line we gave up. They need to solve that problem if they are going to have massive numbers of tour groups. Since we were leaving in the wee hours of the morning, we did not book a room with breakfast the last day. We booked & paid for transportation to the airport with the concierge. Our driver was on time and we had an easy trip to the airport. ||empty or broken

We had a suite of 80m2 at very affordable cost for family of 4. It was clean and tidy and even had a piano. Two extra beds were literally with 5cm mattress only. We asked for double mattress and got it. The other beds could also need new mattresses. Bathroom old fashioned with shower curtain. Big surprise that the aircondition system is the best I ever experienced. Breakfast was simple but with basics. Get there early because when breakfast ends it really ends and you have to leave the breakfast room. All in al ok but nothing special and fair value for money.

I am staying here right now and first impressions it looked good from the outside and the lobby, but when me and my family were checking in it took so long. The rooms have a nice view. When me and my family went to eat breakfast a lady who worked there was utterly rude, so we went into the city and found Cake & Breakefast it was better than the hotels breakfast with a reasonabol price. After me and my family came back one of our rooms had not been cleaned, the bin wasn't even taken out and changed and we got no towels. I would rather spend more on a hotel that can treat me and my family well and that can do their jobs right.

I was here with a large group for a conference and while I expected little, the hotel greatly surpassed my expectations. It is clearly equipped for many guests (the hallways seemed to go on forever) and a very businesslike hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient, the rooms comfortable and clean (although not very modern), and the breakfast offered both Russian and more European options. One of the best aspects of the hotel was its location right on Nevsky Prospect, which meant there were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the metro was visible from our window. My only issue was that the wifi did not work particularly well, but I expected this from the beginning so I had purchased a data package. Overall, a great experience!
