I didn’t have a lot of expectations for my stay at Hotel Okura but I was excited to experience having a Hinoki bath tub in my room. Coming in without expectations made every aspect of our experience at the hotel a delightful surprise. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and guided through efficiently with that signature Japanese hospitality. The check-in was a breeze! The room was impeccable. The furniture looked clean and new. As expected, it also came equipped with the beloved Japanese toilet. The en-suite Hinoki bath tub was thoroughly enjoyed and for a moment, it made me forget that I was in Manila. You mustn’t miss out on their breakfast buffet. They served high quality food that varied from western, Filipino, continental, and of course, Japanese. That said, the parking is a shared parking with the rest of Newport and it felt and looked a little dated. However, the hotel and service were amazing! I’m definitely going back and telling my friends about the positive experience.

I needed a hotel by NAIA and found this gem that checked all the boxes. - It’s across the street from Terminal 3 (international terminal). - The rooms are quiet and serene, perfect for a restful night before a long haul flight. - Decent food options. What I didn’t expect was how breathtakingly beautiful the hotel is. The vibe from the entrance lobby, to the gorgeous bonsai trees on the way to the pool, to the room that had a view of the lobby (surprise: it looked like a Japanese village from my room). It was a 5 star experience from start to finish. Ken, who assisted me on check in to check out was incredibly helpful along with all of the staff. The breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. The lunch buffet was nothing like I’ve experienced before. I chose raw meat and vegetables that were grilled and seasoned to perfection. The unlimited sushi was amazing. I really can’t say enough good things about my hotel experience at Hotel Okura and I can’t wait to stay here again.

So disappointed in this hotel. I was fooled by the great social media posts. This is the least five star ⭐️ hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was so musty with poor ventilation. The second night the AC stopped working and remained 28 degrees through the night. We called in the middle of the night to have someone look at it and he claimed to have fixed it but it never got to a comfortable temperature. The temp continued to read 27C. We explained this issue to the front desk and did not get much of a response just an “okay”. Between the heat in the room and the smell we checked out and went to a different hotel for the rest of our stay in Philippines. The breakfast is nice but few vegetarian options. There were many more unpleasant staff than nice. It just did not feel like a luxury 5 star hotel.. more like 3 star. Great location but would not recommend or come back. Plenty of better options in the area. Other things to note. No true spa such as massage or facials and no restaurant or bar open late besides room service, just something to consider if you want those options.

I was so surprised with this hotel, the rooms and the hotel itself were so lavish and luxurious, we were so amazed with the toilet and its feature. The room is so spacious and even with couch and moveable TV unit, that was very smart. Even the curtains and the lightings were so nice and so impecable. The pool were warm at night and the jacuzzi and sauna are perfect. Loved the service as well from begining and at the last of our stay, will definitely come back. And the hallway goung to casino is just so amazing you wouldn't think you are in hotel ,feels like meseum.

Highly recommend this hotel. The service turned out to be excellent and the hotel property is amazing. The room was luxuriously large and the bathroom was beautiful with modern electronics. We overlooked the airport with a beautiful view and there was no noise at all. Modern built and solid windows that did an incredible job of keeping it quiet. When we checked out, the staff was courteous and gave our daughter a small gift of an Okura bear which she loved. It was perfect timing because she was coming down with the sniffles. Highly recommend. The lobby is grand and elegant, you feel the quality as soon as you walk in. The rooms are premium, clean, and very comfortable. Service was excellent the whole stay, housekeeping and concierge were always fast and attentive. Our lunch at Yamazato was exceptional, the food tasted authentic and reminded us of Japan. It really felt like a slice of Japan in Manila, warm hospitality, great flavors, and thoughtful service. The rooftop pool has beautiful city views and a relaxing atmosphere. Everything was well maintained. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very conveniently located directly opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, with a bridge connecting the terminal to Newport Manila—super easy access. It was our first day back in Manila after six years, and after an 8-hour flight with a late afternoon arrival, we decided to stay overnight to avoid the Christmas traffic. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, and the space was luxuriously large compared to what we originally booked. The ambience was excellent, the buffet breakfast was superb with a wide selection (the Filipino breakfast is still the best!), and the customer service was outstanding. We even managed an early swim, which our son absolutely loved. Definitely worth the stay, and we’ll be coming back for sure.
