Our recent stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and, quite frankly, the worst experience we’ve ever had in a supposed 5-star hotel.
Despite putting a Do Not Disturb sign on our door, we were still disturbed in the middle of the night—an unacceptable lapse in guest privacy and basic protocol. The room itself had a noticeable smell of mold, which immediately set a negative tone. Only one yukata was provided, which clearly indicated that the room was not prepared properly before our arrival.
The TV was not set up correctly upon check-in, and even after requesting room cleaning, we still had to follow up because nothing happened the first time. These issues reflect a lack of attention to detail, something you would never expect from a hotel claiming a 5-star rating.
In general, most of the staff seemed to be doing the bare minimum, lacking proactiveness and the level of hospitality expected at this price point. The only exceptions were the reception staff and a few security guards, who were the only ones that provided service that resembled 5-star standards.
Even the breakfast buffet was below average, offering limited selections and failing to justify the hotel’s rating. On top of that, the so-called heated pool was not heated at all, making it uncomfortable.
To summarize, this is undeniably the worst 5-star hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The experience—from room preparation to service quality and amenities—did not meet even basic expectations. We left dissatisfied and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a genuine 5-star experience.
