Gstaad Guide: Where to Stay, Eat, and Shop According to Dr. Barbara Sturm and Her Daughter Charly | Vogue

"Hotel Olden’s charming restaurant is a place you simply must visit when you’re in Gstaad. Each dish is delicious, but most people go there for the penne alla vodka. And I never leave without having the crêpes Suzette." - Elise Taylor

The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The only downside was that the second course took a bit longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait. The service was exceptional: incredibly kind, attentive, and made the experience feel genuinely warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful evening at Hotel Olden in Gstaad. The service was impeccable…attentive without being intrusive…and the wine selection was excellent. We ordered the Mediterranean-style sea bass for two, and it was outstanding: perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The portions were very generous. A perfect spot for a refined yet cozy meal in the heart of Gstaad.

Very expensive. That being said, black coffee with cream (7CHF) was excellent and double crème de Gstaad with forest fruits (28CHF) was a great local dessert. We had an expensive but good moment in this cafe.

If you're dying to be fleeced by having average food charged at idiotic prices then look no further - hotel olden restaurant fits the bill perfectly. Whilst i have visited Gstaad several times and really love the place, Olden restaurant is a sad exception. Maybe I have been unlucky... well, I am not giving those clowns a second chance. And they can keep that CHF14 0.5L San Pelegrino to wash down the crazy pills they are clearly on.

Perfect lunch place on Promenade. I know people, who come to Gstaad just for Penne à la Vodka et Pastrami in Olden. It's simply a must. This traditional restaurant offers swiss cuisine with italian charm. But one thing is sure: there is no better Penne à la Vodka et Pastrami anywhere else in the World. Cocktail recommendation: Bellini.

Brilliant restaurant of the Hotel Olden…! We went here over a personal recommendation and we were quite glad. Each and every was dish prepared with perfection. Must try “Penne ala Vodka” The potion sizes are just about right. A vegetarian person in our group was very happy as well. The deserts are also a must try. The service is quick and full of smiles. Overall a beautiful experience, with an expensive bill in the end 😅 Recommended…!

Never stayed here, but I keep going for lunch and dinner. Amazing food, penne alla vodka, cotoletta, … it’s top notch from start to end. Ask them to make an Iron Balls gin tonic! Yum. Italian charme in the midst of the Gstaad promenade. Say no more.
