Hotel Omni Mont-Royal

We had an amazing stay this past weekend at Omni Mont-Royal. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and our room was spacious and spotless but what truly made our stay exceptional was the service. Rui, the doorman, was incredibly kind and welcoming, even walking me to the self-parking garage to make sure everything was easy. Alonso made check-in smooth and accommodating. A special thank you to Véronique, the concierge, who went above and beyond arranging Valentine’s Day decorations and made our weekend extra special. We’re so grateful to the entire team and would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Conveniently located near McGill University and the downtown shopping area. Many good food options nearby.

This hotel is an exceptional establishment, particularly renowned for its exceptional services and hospitality. They went above and beyond to assist me during a unfortunate incident that occurred outside their premises. The staff was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Manuel, who was there to assist me at all times. He even allowed me to use his phone for nearly two hours! Veronique deserves special mention as well for taking charge of helping me while Manuel was away. Overall, the entire staff displayed exceptional professionalism and dedication. I'm in town for two nights only to give a talk at a nearby university so this is purely a business review, no tourism considerations. I travel a lot and don't usually have this smooth of an experience in hotels. On work-related trips, I look for hotels to have all the little things taken care of so I don't have to waste time in a packed schedule with inconvenience. I am very happy with the comfort, convenience, and service in this hotel. The front desk staff as well as room service and restaurant staff have gone above and beyond. The ice machine down the hall is out of order, but they quickly delivered ice to my room and extra coffee supplies too. The front desk clerk agreed right away to change my room when I specified my preference for a room not too close to the elevator (noise considerations). I had an excellent cocktail from an attentive bartender while waiting for the room change. The room is nicely furnished with lots of lamps (my preference over stark overhead lighting), even one for makeup application in the roomy bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the hallways were quiet last night. There was an extra blanket and pillow in the closet, which I often need, and an easy-to-use thermostat in the room. This room has all of the other convenient amenities too: mini fridge, decent one-cup coffee maker; hair dryer, wine glasses and corkscrew, bottles of spring water, bedside plugs for phone charging, and a roomy desk for working.

I went to Montreal for knee replacement surgery and chose this hotel because it was one of the hotels reccomemnded by the clinic. The service was incredible. They went out of their way to help make our stay as comfortable as possible whether from the doorman who helped me find a wheelchair, to the front desk staff who printed my surgery instructions and brought it to us while we were having dinner. And even technicians who helped us fix the ice machine in our room so that I could have some relief from the swelling of my knee. Incredible service. The best we have had.

Great views. Clean rooms with nice finishes. Good location. We were here in the dead of winter and found it to be a bit further from the heart of Old Montreal than we would’ve liked, but in nicer weather, a great location. Service was good but had to wait awhile for breakfast and valet at times.

Together, they were an absolute joy — their energy, teamwork, and creativity behind the bar made every drink an experience in itself. Beyond the impeccable service, the Omni’s atmosphere was warm, stylish, and inviting. It’s the perfect mix of sophistication and comfort — and it’s the people, not just the property, that make it shine. I travel often and have stayed with many major hotel brands over the years, but this experience at the Omni stood out as one of the best in recent memory. The genuine hospitality from Julie, Max, Theodora, and Estefania (forgive me if I’ve misremembered the name!) turned what could have been an ordinary business stay into something truly special. Bed bugs. I wanted to splurge and book a more fancy hotel. Well… everything was going okay. The food was bland but I moved past that. The location is very beautiful but for the price I am paying, I was expecting more. However, with my entire trip, never once did I expect to get bed bugs. I did not know what they were until this moment and I brought them home. I had to throw my mattress away and buy a new one. Wasting even more money. Would not wish this on my worst enemy, until it came to this hotel. They have become my enemy…

Had a great stay at the Omni. The rooms are generously sized, but the bathroom needs renovating. The mirror was faded, 90s decored and aged, and ventilation was poor. Towels had a hard time drying overnight. The aging decor seems to be a theme with many Omni hotels nowadays. I hope they can afford to renovate their properties to modern standards. The highlight is their service. I've always found Omnis to have outstanding service, and this visit was the same. Theodora and Sebastian at the lobby bar were both so friendly and warm, making great representatives of the Omni brand and for Montreal overall.

This was a lovely place to stay while we visited Montreal. A little dated but very elegant. Room was very big, bed super comfy. Staff at front desk and bar very nice! We had one mishap with room service. When the tray was going to be placed on glass table, glass of water fell off tray and broke table and glass went everywhere. We didnt eat food or anything on tray because we feared glass had gotten on it. Someone did come up to clean but no apolgogy or refund was given. Other than that, stay was lovely.

Outstanding Stay at the Omni Hotel - A Perfect Montreal Experience From the moment we walked in, the service was on point. Every staff member--from valet, front desk, housekeeping to bartenders and wait staff--were friendly and made us feel completely at ease. Evenings at the bar? Yes, please. Amazing drinks, chill vibe, and stellar crew. The location couldn't have been better for exploring the city, and the view from our room? Total showstopper. Would we go back? In a heartbeat. Omni, you crushed it.

Excellent location, near everything, great restaurants n subway n bus. Service was friendly n courteous. But it last the social touch. Hence the 4 star review. I was there for my birthday, no one in the staff acknowledged. A little disappointed. The original room I was is had a strong smell of dog pee type. It was driving me crazy. So they changed rooms. I also wanted a higher floor. There was still the smell of dog utine but not as strong as previous room. I went all over trying to figure out the smell. I think it must have been headboard! The rooms are clean, people are nice n price was good. The pool is under renovation since summer of 23. It would have been nice to swim. There's a working jacuzzi if the pool is open I will come back to this hotel. The area is nice.

If you can't give this five stars then you do not deserve to stay at this exquisite hotel and I really do believe it takes more than five stars From check in to check out everything was absolutely exceptional and that also includes the food. The staff especially the concierge were extremely kind and helpful and knowledgeable. The people that helped us with our luggage and the valets were just as polite and kind. We will be staying here again just for longer period of time though

I blindly picked this hotel, didn't do a ton of research just looked a couple of Expedia reviews but no serious research which is pretty unlike me. I was pleasantly suprised that it was literally the perfect location! If you are looking to be in the mix but not IN the mix it's perfect. It's a couple blocks away from the main shopping strip and when you need an Uber to perhaps Old Town it's generally under $10 trip to get there. If you are feeling adventurous you could actually walk. The room I thought was fine. I saw several other reviews sayings the rooms were outdated but I didn't get that feel at all and I'm pretty picky when it comes to hotel rooms. It was very clean and what I consider a pretty large room considering it was downtown. What earns this 5 stars is really the location and service. I hate I didn't get her name but the young lady working the concierge was absolutely amazing. I went to visit her several times becoase as I mentioned o didn't do a ton of research on this trip. She asked my interests and picked things accordingly. She called and pulled some stings to get me into a steak house I really wanted to go to. Just amazing. The young lady that checked me in initially deserves kudos too. My flight was cancelled due and I didn't get there the day I was supposed to and she worked with me to not be charged for that day. I was also able to check into the room early which was a treat. The guys that hold the door open for you and call the cabs were fantastic as well. Always smiling and providing a welcoming feeling as you walk into the hotel. I was quite pleased and I would definitely stay here again.

I liked staying here. Affordable, clean, fine place, helpful staff, etc. I wish id stayed in a hipper area, nearer to the water but as hotel go, this place was very pleasant.

Really nice location right in the middle of downtown you have everything really close to you.... minus the Provigo that was 12 minute walk but still not to bad. Pool wasn't open even tho it's May I get it we had a slow season but for sure should be at least cleaning or setting up that bad boy as it's mid May now. The hot tub was nice I would say 4 people max but jets were great and temperature was nice. HUGE gym, there's a lot of room and an extra room for yoga or work out classes. All located on the 3rd floor just in case the elevator wasn't clear enough lol BEDS very comfy but I don't believe in was a California King as my friend has one at home and it's much much bigger but still great linens and comfy pillow. Bathroom was large and mirrors are great so girls who are big makeup gurus this is the place for you it has the lightning all around and the little mirror that sticks out the wall for close ups. Mini fridge was not cold and the $5 dollar water bottle was a joke but I did really like the bench with the reading lamp right at the foot of our bed felt luxurious. Friend had a large piece of metal fall on her foot when she bumped in to it in the hallway late at night and when we went to speak to the team downstairs nothing was done about it besides the security guard who gave her a bandage when leaving. Could of went without the catty looks and smirks from the girls working the front but that's just how some people are I guess. Did not get to try the bar or breakfast as we went out that night and then next afternoon had to be at a bbq but I would love to check it out perhaps next time I visit. All and all it's a beautiful place but I would work on having the pool opened for May when it says May online and having a little more hospitality when someone hurts themselves in your establishment other than that, comfy bed, nice little hot tub, location is great and just the night we needed.

Loved our 4 night stay at Hotel Omni! From the most welcoming friendly doormen, convenient affordable underground parking, helpful efficient front desk, happy comfortable bar scene and modern spacious room with perfect view of Mont Royal and McGill University! The bathroom/shower was modern and the supply of hot water was abundant. The king size bed was super comfortable. Got to enjoy massaging my sore muscles in the jacuzzi. Breakfast excellent with fantastic tasting coffee and cheerful staff. Location cannot be better for walkers visiting beautiful Montreal!!

The Omni was an excellent choice for our trip to Montreal. The location was perfect, we were close by to really everything and were able to walk to a lot of locations. If it wasn't a blizzard when we visited, we probably would've been able to walk everywhere. The room itself was just ok. On the smaller side and definitely outdated but good enough. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large with good lighting. I think a little refresher would go a long way though, being that it is an Omni, we expected the rooms to be a tad bit nicer. The real reason for my 4 star rating is the unbelievable service. Every employee of the Omni was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would like to call out a specific individual, for his immense hospitality and kindness and his name is Giovanni, with concierge. He was SO awesome and beyond helpful!! He gave us countless recommendations on restaurants and knew the city like the back of his hand. Every single recommendation he offered, we took him up on and every single time the experience was just like he said it would be. He did not steer us wrong once. Giovanni was above and beyond accommodating and really made our stay super enjoyable. Hats off to him and many thanks. Despite the rooms being outdated, we would totally come back and stay here again when visiting Montreal.

Because I'm a bit points-obsessed, I've been back to this Omni two times, despite a very disappointing first stay. Both times (this year) were pretty outstanding stays, as they offer the best upgrades out of most Omnis. Although I greatly appreciate that, I feel it's the staff who make this hotel five star-worthy. Both times, the Loyalty Ambassadors help fulfill my requests immediately, from special amenity (sparkling wine) to letting my colleague check in a day prior to me seamlessly. I also find reception and bellmen to be welcoming and gracious! Bravo to the staff. I also have to note that this Omni, while not as flashy-modern as the Omni Dallas and Nashville, nor as luxe as the King Eddy and Berkshire Place, doesn't have the inflated/outrageous prices the others often have (I mean, 600 dollars for a basic room sometimes! WTH?) and is typically in the 200 CAD range. And for this price, last April I was upgraded to a beautiful suite. The past two days, I have the utter privilege of staying in the Presidential Suite, which is two floors with floor to ceiling windows affording a gloriously autumnal view of Mont Royal. It was just fucking spectacular. I had to pinch myself, especially when I walked into the upstairs bathroom and saw an enormous tub in front of huge windows affording that very same view. Actually, I almost started to cry. I had had a trying day of getting up at 4am after 3.5 hours of sleep and two flights so I was truly exhausted and worried about being able to freshen up in time for YelpOween festivities! Black level double upgrades (even for complimentary stays!) keep me happy with the Omni and although I know nothing is guaranteed, I truly appreciate it when it happens, so THANK YOU! This is my boyfriend and I's absolute favorite hotel. We stay here for our annual trip to Montreal and it's always lovely. The rooms are beautiful, bed extremely comfortable and the views of downtown are incredible. Each room has a keurig with several keurig pod options. The bathrooms have full bars of very nice soap. I can't say enough about the staff here. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. Housekeeping always does a great job cleaning the room. The doormen are very friendly. This last visit we were celebrating our anniversary and we came home from a day of exploring to a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and chocolate strawberries in our room with a lovely note from the hotel. They really go above and beyond to make your vacation awesome! As far as location this hotel is right near all the shopping and a block from the Peel metro station. We love to have brunch at Universal down the road because the brunch at the hotel is quite expensive.

I loved my stay here while touring McGill. If coming for University purposes call ahead as they have a McGill rate. We arrived on a redeye at 8 am and they let us check in right away so we could rest before exploring the city. All the staff was wonderful and friendly and helpful. The bell staff especially cheerful and helpful when planning the days adventures. It felt like we were coming home each night to family. It's also centrally located by the cathedral, lots of restaurants, old town, cafes, the basilica all in easy walk. If you want to book spa services book early as those were filled up. The Opus Cafe has lovely service and their continental breakfast was Devine. If all goes well, this will be our hotel for family visits to this wonderful city for sure!

I spent the weekend here for New Years and the staff had to be my favorite part of my stay. The front desk was helpful, courteous and always smiling. We even made friends with the guys who worked valet. One in particular I wish I got his name, he was older but so lovely and friendly. On the last night we were staying here, he told me and my partner we were the "best couple ever" lol. The hotel was in prime location of downtown. Everything was walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and the mall. Being nearby to everything was actually important, since parking in downtown was pretty much impossible. We did valet for the first day 35$ we had to call 10-15 min in advance for them to bring it over. On the second day we parked behind the hotel at a garage that was 20$ for 24 hours. There are many garages around downtown you can park at, but honestly they all look pretty sketchy. This one seemed the most safe. The hotel was really beautiful, the decor was festive and classy. They had a restaurant/bar on the first floor in the lobby with reasonable priced drinks. Our room was a lot bigger than I had expected it to be. It even had a huge couch connected to it in the front. Bathrooms were clean and had amazing mirrors for doing your makeup even an extra one with lights (vanity mirror) Yes this was a bonus, especially for the ladies, am I right?! My only complaint I had about staying here was the beds. It was a nice king, clean and everything but I noticed whenever I laid in it I would get really itchy. I didn't get any bites, but I must have had an allergic reaction to whatever they use to wash the sheets. I looked it up on google if this is possible and it's true that it happens in hotels more than I thought. I've showered multiple times since my stay and now 3 days later I'm still itchy especially on my arms. Overall experience was great, I do want to come back in the future, but they definitely have to do something about those beds and use something different to wash it.

My Yelp compatriot Joi is an Omni black card member so, when she was booking our rooms for a trip to Montreal, she offered to book mine as well so I could get some of her excellent perks. While I'm baller status on Delta, I don't quite have an allegiance to any one hotel chain (typically going for last minute deals and such on booking sites) so this was all very new and exciting for me. Now, I didn't get the insane suite she did (check out her review for the majesty) but I did get some pretty rad amenities as a result of her status, including a really great room on the 17th floor, and a welcome wine and cheese plate with fruit, plus complimentary coffee or juice room service each morning. Nice! It pays to be a loyalty member! The room itself was really great. Spacious and clean. Turndown service each day with a chocolate on my pillow was a nice touch. The bathroom was tidy and they were real on top of the housekeeping, even when I left my room later in the afternoon. The king-sized bed was also SO SO comfortable. I don't typically sleep great when traveling but I zonked out for a good 10 hours my first night here. Because we kept kind of wonky hours for work I ordered room service three times here. Once just dessert my first night in because I like to treat myself when I'm away from home, the other meals were more out of necessity--a late dinner after a work event went past closing time for most restaurants in the area and a breakfast before I checked out. For the dessert, I went with a chocolate lava cake with gelato, my favorite dessert of all time. Kiiiind of disappointing. Very dry and not exactly warm in the middle. But it fulfilled my need for chocolate so *shrug emoji*. My late nite meal was the bagel service--two sesame bagels, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and cream cheese. This was pretty good. I mean, it's hard to screw up a bagel. For breakfast, I ordered the night before via the sign on my door and got the liege waffles with bacon. Both were also good, but a little on the cold side. Particularly the waffles which got a little hard when they cooled down. But it was pouring rain outside so the alternative (hunting down food in the rain) was not so great so I happily scarfed down those waffles. The location is great if you're into doing some of the more touristy shopping and such. I didn't explore the area TOO much but if you want a real downtown city vibe it's the place to be. Very close to a few metro stops too, which makes getting around the city a breeze. Cabs are also easily accessible out front. Overall a very solid option for lodging. Not sure I'd personally stay here again just because I'd prefer to find a new neighborhood in town that's more my speed but if I were booked here or found a good deal I would definitely revisit.

The Lobby Area is a great place to hang out with a group of friends, order cocktails or mocktails and just get full on the bar munchies that they offer for free.. Nice decor. Service could improve

We love the Omni chain and we have yet to be disappointed. The Hotel Omni Mont-Royal is beautiful. The location is great, for walking, finding pubs and fine dinning restaurants. The staff knows the area so well, they can direct you to exactly what you are looking for. They all speak English, but if you want to try some French they won't make you feel like an idiot and will help you out, so learn some new words. The lobby is spectacular and the front desk staff is ever so kind. Our room had a beautiful view. It was large and comfortable. It was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The only thing that was troublesome was their AC was not working well, so fix that, if you are reading this. You will love this hotel and the City. Enjoy.

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of the city. Customer service is unbelievable and staff is accommodating and professional. We had the pleasure of meeting ernesto, the seasoned bartender in the main bar " Alice". Our martinis, mine espresso and my fiance's dirty, were some of the best we've ever had. The decor and ambiance ooze class and luxury. The bathroom is large and clean, the bed was comfortable, although the comforter needs replacing as its very thin and did nothing to keep us warm. Room service was quick and proficient, and concierge was always helpful and polite. Will absolutely be booking with the omni again in the future.

We came here on a dreary Thursday in November. Staff is fantastic. Room is too. We went to breakfast and when we came back room was clean. We've never seen a cleaning person. Extremely high end service and accommodations- for any price. Ernie at the bar was great! Thanks soo much for having us and we'll see you in the summer.

Wonderful! Downtown hotel, very well located next to transportation, restaurants, stores, transportation. Helpful and polite staff, clean rooms, fast elevators and a nice bar in the lobby. Room service food (always overpriced) was fresh and tasty.

This hotel is conveniently located 2 blocks from Saint Catherine Street and nearby to many hotels, bars and has a true downtown vibe. The hotel has lots of amenities including an outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi, full fitness center and a lounge/ bar area. The biggest selling points for me was the deal that I got on Priceline for New Years Eve that allowed me to discover this place. The entire staff from the valet service, front desk and the bartenders were extremely professional and kind and smiled. It's the little things that make a difference and I felt very welcomed as a guest here. Being a downtown area the parking is not included with the valet being $35 a day and the self park just behind the building that goes way underground is $20 for 24 hours of parking. The room itself is spacious with a large bathroom , comfortable bed that has a couch immediately to the front of it and large windows where you can view outside. My drink cooler in my room was not working and called the front desk and they brought me a full refrigerator instead to my room. I look forward to staying at other Omni hotels.

The blind 4.5 star deal on Hotwire at $125/nt: *perfect location, within walking distance of shopping, eating, museums and the train *24 hour gym with updated machines, outdoor pool opens at 8AM, lifeguard included *business center, offering free check-in and printing of your boarding pass *leave your DND sign on your door if you don't want staff entering your room mid-day to leave a snack and a bottle of FREE water *infused waters in the lobby are a spa touch *the HVAC system is pretty loud and rickety *rooms are a bit dated, but the housekeeping staff are great *the main concierge is a doll, the younger guy totally dropped the ball on booking my spa treatment and I wasn't able to get one due to his mismanagement *there are three elevators and can get backed up during peak times *the appliance in the room that looks like a fridge, is a cooler, don't be fooled like I was, fridge rental is $25/day and is GINORMOUS They did not have two double beds when we checked in, so they offered us FREE wifi for our entire stay and switched us to double room the next night. SWEET. Really makes a difference, not having to troll around in the lobby just to use the internet. Oh and free breakfast buffet, I don't recommend this, very limited. I would disagree with HW's designation, more like 4 star. For the price, totally worth it.

Great location and service. Nadia was helpful and informative at check-in. She gave our daughter a cute Omni Kids backpack. Rasheed (Bellman) was friendly and personable. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel upgrades seem recent. I wish we would have had WiFi in the room complimentary. It was in the lobby and fitness center. We would definitely stay here again.

Careful booking at this hotel, I recently stayed here for 2 nights thurs,friday., . Not sure how this all happened bcause i was on the hotels web site clicked reserve and got redirected to expedia.com not expedia.ca ....Expedia.com does not have a U.S fund beside their respective $amt charge but the expedia.ca does have a CA beside the booking charge. So while booking I was unaware that I was booking in US funds and booked at what I consider to be too expensive for this hotel . So when I checked my email immediately after the booking. I realized a 220 dollar a night stay ended up being a 300 a night stay canadian(which on a weekday thursday this hotel is not worth it) . I immediately called the hotel requesting a cancellation and all help was denied based on the no cancellation policy. Then I called Expedia and explained my situation to them and they also refused me help and told me to call the hotel. So I called the hotel back and asked them if they could help me out in any way. They also denied me help and passed the buck back to Expedia but it was there web site which directed me to expedia.com. So yes no cancellation means no cancellation but in circumstances such as this where is the compassion absolutely non-existent. Dissappointed on how the hotel handled this and like I said careful booking because there will be no compassion for a little mistake which will cost you big ....nobody wants to pay 670 dollars canadian for this hotel for 2 nights stay ...When i did end up staying there for 2 nights although a decent place and staff very warm, not worth 335 a night especially on a weekday

I spent my honeymoon at the Omni and I did not want to leave. The room was amazing and the price was even better!!! The king sized bed was wicked comfortable and the room was friggin' huge!!! Our view was gorgeous, they give you complimentary robes, real glasses in the types of sifters, wine, juice and coffee mugs. No styrofoam mess here! They have a pool, a sauna, and a hot tub as well as a gym and spa. Can you tell I usually slum it or stay with friends? My four instead of five rating is due to the fact that the staff might be a little too eager to clean and serve. Make sure you put your inside lock on the door even if you place the do not disturb sign on your outer door. A few times we heard a light knocking and then the door just pushed open. D'oh, maybe not what you want on your honeymoon! Also, don't bother getting take-out coffee from the bar, it's the same crap burnt coffee that you get in your room and they charge you $3 for a small cup. No good. Go across the street and get a cappuccino and a croissant. It's worth the extra 100 foot walk.

My sister and I stayed here as it was part of a package from GP Tours for the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. It's a huge hotel and has many floors. It's close to a metro station, shopping area, restaurants and a short 5-8min walk to Crescent Street where they have street parties on F1 weekend. So, the location is perfect. The staff members were very helpful and friendly. Checking in and out were easy and hassle-free. The only thing that might turn people away from staying here is that they don't serve breakfast...at least not that I can remember. That didn't bother me at all as we'd wake up around brunch anyway.

For such an expensive hotel, it was pretty lack-luster and dirty. Our hotel room had food in the fridge from the previous occupants, some of the outlets didn't work, and there were stains/hair on the bed. Also, they encourage you to join the loyalty club so you can get free wifi, which hardly works. I had to print a very important paper for a conference I was in town for, so I went to the business center - they charge you .75 a page (Canadian dollars), and also charge you for logging on to the computer in the first place ($1.75, I believe it was). The printer totally messed up the format of my paper! I went down to the front desk, and thankfully the kind man (Andrew) offered to print my paper from the front desk's printer, and it came out fine. I just do not understand why it was so expensive to print/log on in the first place! An average room at 5 star prices, totally not worth it.

More than impressed with this hotel. The staff has been extremely courteous and helpful. Located in a great spot you can easily walk around to explore. Room was clean and modern looking. Up in the 22nd floor it was a nice view of the area. I used the restaurant for dinner and got the Chef salad and a tea then the next morning used it for breakfast. My dining experience gets 5 stars as well. Food was not cheap, but service and quality of food makes up for it. Do not hesitate to stay here!

My girlfriend rented this place for our two-day vacation in Montreal. Having never stayed at a fancy hotel, I was very impressed with the overall layout, the door opening services, the valet, and the scented water coolers in front of the concierge. That being said, there were a couple of drawbacks from the Omni hotel. First, it's fairly expensive, and while the location is great and in close proximity to the metro and to the college, we came on the weekend where there was a McGill Party and there were multiple loud, inebriated citizens that made me remember how much I did not miss college. Also, many services that I've come to expect in a standard hotel was not included in our stay. The internet, breakfast, parking all cost extra. Fortunately, we were able to park our car at an adjacent lot just behind the hotel, without being charged an obscene amount for valet services. The gym was well equipped with treadmills and bikes, but could have used more free weights and bar system. The pool was also closed and the jacuzzi was under construction. The individual room was very beautiful, with a shower head that could peel off dried paint from its pressurized stream. I wish there were more English TV channels, and a larger, more functional mini fridge. The best part, however, was the amazing king-size bed, which delayed all of our plans since we could not get ourselves away from such an amazing, comfortable mattress.

Booked this through Priceline at a bid of ~$130 for a 4 star+ hotel. Customer service and valet service was exceptional. They helped us locate a nice place to have dinner, and let us know that the jacuzzi is opened until midnight. The area is also fantasic, right by all of the posh brand name stores. This is certainly the neighbourhood to be in. I was a little displeased that they charge extra for two queen/double beds, so we opted for the King room that was originally booked. The bed is uncomfortable, and I'm not one to complain about beds. It definitely does not compare to beds at the Hilton or Sheraton. Also not happy with the blowdryer, that smells like burning hair and farts. I wonder if our room was smaller because we booked through Priceline. Apparently my cousin booked directly and she got a much better room with a chandelier in the bathroom in the past.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Omni. The service was incredible. A concierge, Giovanni, was particularly helpful - he helped my family plan our entire trip and always went the extra mile to make sure that we were having a good stay. The room was spacious and comfy. The breakfast buffet was very good, and they made personalized eggs along with the buffet. Would definitely stay here again!

Really great experience staying at this hotel. We got a suite size room, even though we booked a regular one. The room was huge with a view of the rooftop pool. Sweet! Two things I look for in a hotel: clean room and comfortable bed. The others do not matter to me. I am not going to live there, I am just visiting. Give me a clean room where I can fall asleep quickly and I am a happy man. We stayed here for 4 days/ 3 nights. Excellent location, close to Mount Royal. The bar downstairs was nice and room service was prompt. It is close to public transit, downtown, and all the trendy stores. The rooftop pool is amazing...and they offer you cucumber and lemon water to quench your thirst.

This well situated, well run hotel is in dire need of a make-over. Has been for years! Seriously, this WAS a five star hotel, downgraded to 4 star and the lack of investment is not doing much to bolster peoples belief in a shot at changing the downward trajectory. I am quite certain that most of their bookings come from discount sites these days as it is frequently the door prize in the "I wanna 4 star for under a $100" sweepstakes. POSITIVES: Excellent location Large Rooms Friendly Professional Staff Decent beds NEGATIVES Old, unappealing room decor Lack of certain modern conveniences Atrocious room service food Lackluster dining options Slow, expensive WiFi If you just got it in the big "YOU'RE STAYING HERE" reveal don't fret. It's still pretty comfy and once you're out of the room (where you think you're staying at Grandmothers house) you'll feel as though you're in a proper city hotel. TIP - Join the Omni Frequent Sleeper program and then you get slow FREE WiFi !!!

Hotel Omni Mont-Royal was successful in completely ruining mine and my boyfriend's relaxing weekend in Montreal. We arrived late on a Saturday night at about 10PM, we had pre-booked the room ahead of time and paid about $200 in total for the room via credit card. Although me and my boyfriend definitely don't look like the type of people that frequent this type of hotel (we're dirty hippies, i'll be honest), the gentleman at the front desk was more than friendly which is more than I can say for how I've been treated in the past by hotels. The hotel lobby is stunning. Marble everywhere, beautiful statues, a fountain, and complimentary lotus/berry water which was weird and nice all at once. Unfortunately thats kind of where the good part of this review ends. Our room was on the 21st floor. Upon walking into our room I was immediately taken back by the beautiful view and... We didn't have a bed! Just a couch that could fold out. For $200 you too can sleep on a pull out couch! When I tested the bed out, I noticed that the mattress was paper thin and also springy and lumpy. I have back issues and was concerned about how my back would feel after sleeping on this mattress. My boyfriend has really bad vision and needs a lot of light to do day to day activities but the lighting was extremely dim with only 1 lamp working. That was also irritating. And my personal favorite was the WiFi which was the slowest I've encountered, ever. I then find out that we get charged $9.95 for the worst WiFi ever, and to top it off, they don't just charge per room, there was 2 laptops and a cell phone using the WiFi so they charged us 3 times. So, being pissed off that this place is a 4 star hotel and this is how we're being treated, we called the front desk. I politely explained to them the bed is remarkably lumpy and uncomfortable and I have a bad back and therefore will have a hard time sleeping on it. I then explained the lighting situation to them. They were completely and entirely unapologetic and told us it was the only room they had to rent out and they overbooked for the holiday. The only compensation we got was they allowed us to check out 2 hours later than usual. I walked around the next day with a sore back thanks to my sleeping accommodations. When we checked out the lady at the desk asked us how our stay was. Me being sore and outspoken, told her it was the worst value I've ever seen for any hotel room and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. She simply said "oh yes well we overbooked for Thanksgiving unfortunately so we gave you the only room we had." I then mentioned the terrible wifi after she brought up that we were being charged 3 times and she stated "we use high speed internet here and you are the only people that have complained lately." For a 4 star hotel her lack of an apology was insane, at least waive the $30 wifi fee for us. We went to a 2 star Quality Inn instead of staying another night. It was a far better experience.

My wife and two kids (ages 2 and 4) came here for a 10th anniversary celebration vacation. Couldn't really complain much. Room was nice, housekeeping was considerate (picked up our kids toys and placed them nicely on the cabinet). On our first day, they delivered milk and cookies for the kids for free. Location is okay; probably a great location for a business trip. There isn't much downtown for kids so while the hotel certainly accomodated us well, the surrounding business don't really make much of an effort to cater to families. Maybe we got lucky but we booked the hotel with a special summer promotion they were running and the price ended up being the cheapest of the major downtown hotels. Some of the bad reviews seem to suggest this hotel is expensive so I could understand how my expections might be higher if I paid a lot more. As other reviewers have stated, book the hotel directly through their website instead of Expedia, Orbitz, etc. If you do that and sign up for their rewards program, the wifi is free. They have a pool but it's outdoors. We did self-parking at a garage nearby which saved us about $10 per day compared to the hotel's valet parking. It's convenient to buses and the Metro.

We are giving this hotel only two stars because, though it was okay, we expected much better for the price. Both days we were there we headed out for long walks in the city. We returned late in the afternoon and each time found the room had not been cleaned. We have never stayed in a place that turned rooms over so late in the day. It did not make for a relaxing break before heading out to dinner. We used the wi-fi and nothing in the login indicated that we would be charged. Free wi-fi should be standard especially in a "luxury" hotel. At the very least, the charges should be clear when you log in. We did appreciate the location and the helpful concierges. We won't stay here again. P. S. The first morning we stayed, I went in search of coffee. I did not see any in the lobby so I went to the hotel restaurant. I specifically asked if there would be coffee in the lobby. I was told no and then sold a cup of $3.00 coffee. Two days later as we checked out, there was a big urn of free coffee in the lobby. It's the little things that make up for good customer service. Omni should do better. This is not big league service.

First Class Service at Reasonable Prices My friend was visiting me in Toronto from San Francisco. We thought it would be fun to go to Montreal for 2 days and cap off her trip with 2 days in Mont Tremblant. We ended up booking the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal a couple days before our scheduled visit during Canadian Thanksgiving weekend 2015 (which coincides with the 2nd Monday in October). The Hotel Omni was one of the best parts of our trip. I aim for 4 things in a hotel: clean, safe, convenient location, all at reasonable cost. The rest for me is just frills. I do prefer a hotel with an indoor swimming pool so that I can relax before/after my day. The Hotel Omni provided a safe clean convenient location to see the sights of Montreal at a reasonable price point. They also provided excellent service. I have stayed at many hotels during my career as a management consultant for one of the Big 4 and never have I received such impeccable service from everyone at a hotel. Everyone from the concierge to housekeeping to the front desk was amazing. Have a sore throat? They will provide complementary hot water and follow up to ensure you received it. Ordered a cot? They will bring up 2 in case several people don't feel that the sofa bed mattress is good enough. BTW, the cots were amazing. My friend is very picky and she loved her cot. She travels a lot for fun and she tries to avoid cots like crazy due to a bad night's sleep that she got on another brand name hotel's cot. The regular mattress is amazing - I have fibromyalgia and back problems from a car accident several years ago and the regular mattress was just as comfortable as my mattress at home, if not more so! The rooms are fairly large for a hotel in downtown. The room was much larger than my old bedroom in SF and much larger than hotels I've seen in SF, Chicago, and New York with relatively high ceilings. The location is central to Montreal, close to the local 'mountain', the local museums, the shopping district, the universities, and best of all it was only 2 blocks from the subway/metro allowing us easy and quick access to attractions in the Old Port or on the outskirts of the city. We wanted to check out the subway/metro since each one in Montreal has a unique artistic feature. The restaurant provides delicious lunches and dinners; for a good restaurant they charge reasonable prices by SF standards. Our best meal in Montreal ended up being at their restaurant. The breakfast buffet is ok, good quality but nothing to rave about. The service was excellent. The pool, whirlpool, and sauna were wonderful. They have both an indoor portion of the heated pool that connects to the outdoor pool which allows you to enjoy it even in mid-October in Montreal weather. The hot tub was large and had strong jets. They had pretty long hours and an indoor attendant to hand you any extra robes or towels you desire. I forgot my bathroom slippers at home. I go to the front desk to ask where the closest store is where I could purchase bathroom slippers and they say not to worry, they'll send up a pair. They sent up 2 pairs immediately even though I only asked for 1. The concierge has regular and discounted tickets for many Montreal attractions, allowing you to beat the line. They will recommend restaurants to you and provide you with information on local area attractions including Mont Tremblant. Everyone there is bilingual and patient with your attempts to speak rusty French if you want to try. My friends say that I am picky; I like to think of myself as discerning. This is probably the best hotel I have ever been to in my life! The room that we were in had a great view of the local 'mountain' with their fall foliage. I'm sure the other rooms had beautiful views of the city. Merci beaucoup, Hotel Omni, for a tres bien vacation! Room Tip: Ask to face the 'mountain' for a beautiful view of autumn colors during the fall months.

This hotel has poor customer service. Check-in is at 3pm and it is 6:02pm and still no room. They keep blaming housekeeping with very little remorse. Seriously? You're not apologizing for this inconvenience? I rate this 2 stars because there is a pool and the location is decent in relation to the dining and shopping we need to do. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend? No. A hotel should accommodate it's paying guests with a room at the proper time. And if there is a wait, I expect a sincere apology at the least. Hotel Omni is a fail, in my opinion.

We went here Easter weekend. The hotel overall was very clean and the staff overall were very nice. However it was very hot in the room. We called front desk and they said they would send someone over. Hours went by and no one came. It was almost like a sauna in our room. We called again and they said same thing and again nothing. The third time we went to the desk. And they said someone will be over. Then after a few hours someone came in and told us they were between weather and nothing could be done but they would send a fan over. We said great. The fan never showed up after 3 hours. We called again and they said they were out of fans. We managed to opened the window slightly so the temperature dropped a little. However it was still quite warm. Overall it was an ok experience. I know it's not their fault however we were promised a fan twice and never got one :(

Good hotel! I was a little terrified after booking on Priceline and seeing these "meh" reviews. We were on Route to Montreal and wanted a 4 star hotel in the downtown area for under $100. Well, we arrived around 4pm and they upgraded us to a corner suite on the top floor with a killer view. But are we all talking about the same hotel? The hotel was nice, spotlessly clean and the staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home, The bed was so comfortable, and the washroom was almost the size of my condo. Our room was a little dated, but really it just looked like a hotel. Not "Shagadellic" o "grandma like" was this just our room? Parking was cheap, under $15 a day with one "in and out" We did not bother with wifi but a local call was $1.19. The location was great for regular tourism. Downtown, you can walk to shopping, the Bell Centre, there is a metro nearby. Old Montreal is close enough. For US, we would have stayed elsewhere, over the few days we were in the city we continued to take cabs to the same neighborhood of Mont-Royal - as everything we wanted to eat or see was there. If you want to shop and sight see, its great. We would definitely stay here again. The staff are really incredible.

We stayed here for 2 days and the rooms were very nice. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Its a 5 mins walk from all the happening places. Although we stayed on the 14th floor there is not much view from the window because of the other highrise buildings nearby but that is expected if you want to stay in downtown area. Overall the hotel was very beautiful and I loved my stay there.

Great location! You can walk just about anywhere from the hotel. The underground city is just round the block. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a small gym on the 3rd floor opened to guests. It gets crowded in the morning as it is also a "health club" opened to members (public). There is a small jacuzzi and a pool. You can get into the jacuzzi from the pool through an indoor link. Ultra cool! We could not make out if the bar/cafe downstairs offered free drinks and tapas in the evenings for guests at the hotel (the sign in the elevators were not very clear) and we never really made it back to the hotel on time to try. Oooi breakfast is not included but if you are "cheap" you can always go down for a quick breakfast of coffee/tea, juice, muffins and fruit at the gym. There are also fruit offerings in the reception area downstairs. Would recommend this hotel.

One of my wife's vendors booked the room for us so I was a little doubtful. We have an Omni in San Diego next to the ballpark and it is awesome but I still had my reservations. So you know that first 30 seconds when you walk in a hotel room for the first time... First look = check Smell = check Clean carpet = check Bathroom = check Bed = check Whew... OK, time to break out the laptop and check out the area... Food = walkable Bars/Lounges = walkable/cab Clubs = cab Shopping = check This is a great hotel (for the price) with a weekends worth of things to do within walking distance. 4 Stars

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon trek through the northeast. So after a long drive from Toronto we were treated with a smiling valet that was warm and greeting. He led us in to the lobby to the front desk and then said goodbye and enjoy your stay. At the front desk there was no wait and were again greeted by friendly faces. After hearing it was our honeymoon trip they bumped us to a wonderful city view room with a king bed. After settling we went to shower off and then waiting at our door was a bottle of nice champagne with some chocolates, how nice! After getting ready we went to chat with the concierge about what to do and where to eat. We also thanked her for the wonderful surprise that came to our room. Anne-Marie was her name and she booked us for both a dinner the nit the we arrived and also the next night, also mentioning it was our honeymoon and trying to get us a better table or appetizer, this lady was awesome! If you have a chance to stay here I would highly recommend it. Everyone here was very nice.

Very classy. I met the Sales Manager (Elizabeth) and she treated me to a cab ride. Very nice of her. We were headed the same direction. The bar is nice in the hotel, too. Rooms are average. No fan in the bathroom though? I was staying w other people in my room so let's say there was no secret what I was up to in there. Lol. Recommended for a mid-high range hotel in MTL.

Great hotel and location. There is also a great sandwich place across the street on Sherbrooke , called Cafe Castel, under the Best Western hotel. They have a great pool and fitness center. The rooms are large for a big city hotel and they have all the amenities. If you join the Omni rewards program when you check in, you get free Wi-Fi
