This hotel was quite a find. Located on the waterfront of sunny Tauranga, it was easy to locate with parking and EV charging available. The reception team were organised and ready for our arrival so check in fast and welcoming. The room was spacious (we recommend paying slightly more and getting the harbour view rooms), clean and bright. Loved the welcoming complimentary snacks. We really appreciated the two towels per person, the fluffy robes and the cooking facilities (microwave) with cutlery and plates. Bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows :)

We really enjoyed our stay overnight. The room was CLEAN, modern and very spacious. Loved the complimentary snacks, and tea, coffee, toiletries were well stocked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, and very affordable for comfort and luxury. Will definitely stay again 💯

This hotel had a few little touches that really elevated my stay. I loved the complimentary snacks – a perfect mix of sweet and savory. Plus, the fridge was stocked with cold water, and the hot beverage station was a dream come true! With a wide range of teas, coffees, and even hot cocoa. Overall, a fantastic stay!

A pleasant surprise. Location is great: on the waterfront in Tauranga's CBD. Easy walk to Wharf Street and it's various F&B establishments, or Robert Harris on Spring St. Our room overlooked the bay (see the photo of sunrise). Equipped with small fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc. Huge bath tub you could do synchronized swimming in. Wifi works well.

We booked the Premium Harbor View Room, 10 months prior to the date of our stay. As we walked in to the room, half the view was blocked by scaffolding. And there were noisy building works on the other side of our wall that started early each morning. We had to keep the balcony door closed, with the curtains drawns, as the workers standing on the scaffolding could see straight in to our room. There had been no communication about this situation prior to arrival. (The front desk response when we asked about the situation was "oh, you must have booked a long time ago if you did not know about the building works". And then another responsible was "we wouldn't have put you in that room if we had known they are working over the weekend".) When the staff came to see 'what the problem was' early on Saturday morning, the pot plant on the balcony was swaying and had to be grabbed and steadied by the staff member, due to the vibrations from the drilling and sawing. Our 'compensation' from the Manager for a 4-night stay was one complimentary breakfast. We were offered to swap to other rooms but they were smaller, had no view/balcony and stank of cigarettes. On no occassion did the Manager reach out to us or communicate with us. Facilities and services are poor: one coffee bag supplied for a double room each day, no room-safe, and no wake up calls. The hotel also has no connection to the in-house Club Room. Hence they were unable to help with the loud, late night party that was taking place next to our room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was a good location, but we would not recommend staying there.

I stayed here with a group of four adults and while there were some positives, we were left disappointed by a few key aspects. The receptionist was lovely—friendly and welcoming—and the beds were quite comfortable. However, the amount of tea and coffee provided was insufficient. We were only given 2 sachets of tea and coffee each, along with not enough milk, which wasn't enough for four people. The room itself had a dull, brown decor and lacked any real character. We also had no table to sit at, which made it difficult to enjoy a meal/drink in the room. Overall, the pictures we saw online didn’t reflect the room we received, and that was a letdown.

I keep forgetting to write a review. But I stayed here for two nights back in 3rd-5th May 2024. I was staying on level 6 and on the second night, early hours, around 4am I was woken up to a leaking roof! The water was dripping from the roof onto the bed. Security were called and I was told a bath tub was left running from a room on level 8! The next morning when I checked out, the receptionist was so rude! Immediately gave attitude when I approached her to check out and she had no sympathy. When the manager came out to sort the issues he was almost not apologetic at all. Because of this I questioned reimbursement since the leaking roof ruined the stay. But the manager was so quick to say something along the lines "how many nights did you stay here". Which I found extremely unprofessional. Regardless of nights stayed they had a leaking roof!! AND my booking was directly with the hotel. I did not feel like a valued customer. Had they been apologetic from the start, I would have understood that this issue was out of their control and not asked for anything. The manager first offered a discount rate for a future stay, like as if I will ever stay at their hotel again after knowing water leaked from a room on level 8 all the way to level 6.. I don't think the water damage will be fixed intensively. I refused this offer. Then he offered a refund of $100. Which was paid. Honestly, if the receptionist on that morning wasn't so rude and the manager was more professional I probably would've not even written a review. But it was a morning I will never forget. The 4 star rating for service, is for the house keeping! The cleaning ladies were so lovely.

Our stay, which cost us several thousand dollars, ended on a disappointing note. At 10:15, we received a knock on the door, followed by a phone call warning us that if we weren’t out by 10:30, they would begin charging us. Yes, we had slept in, but we also had friends who checked out early, and there was no cleaning cart on our floor. Given these circumstances, I feel they could have been more accommodating.

Yelp
Stayed here for three nights in april 2018, and it was great! Check-in was super fast and check-out was even faster. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great location right next to a wide selection of restaurants. The room was absolutely perfect! Very spacious with a great bed, a huge closet, secure wifi and a huge bathroom. There is a safe in the room, kitchentools, a microwave and a kettle. The hotel has private parking with access directly into the hotel - this costs $10 pr. night and is well given, so you don't have do drive around looking for a parking space. Besides that; Tauranga is a great city and we enjoyed our stay very much!

Yelp
I stayed one night on the weekend during a short tour of the North Island. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was pleasant, from the free welcome drink to the comfort and size of the room to the extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. While my stay was for leisure, this would be a great business stay hotel. The room had a large, comfortable desk and was very quiet. There quite an array of restaurants within a five minute walk. All in all, a wonderful experience.
