We booked this hotel after seeing so many amazing reviews and beautiful photos online, but unfortunately, our experience was very different. From the moment we arrived, the area outside the hotel had a really strong, unpleasant smell, and we instantly regretted our decision.
On the positive side, since it was our anniversary, the staff surprised us with an upgrade, a card, and even a cake in the room, which was a really thoughtful touch. We were excited at first—until about 20 minutes later, housekeeping suddenly knocked, pushed their way into the room, and went straight to check the bathtub without explanation. A few minutes after that, another staff member came by and asked if we had reported a smell in the tub (we hadn’t). It was confusing and very unsettling.
Unfortunately, the room itself was also disappointing:
• No shampoo or conditioner provided in the shower
• Low water pressure
• Mold in the shower area
• The water had a very bad odor
• No blackout curtains, so the room was very bright and difficult to sleep in
Overall, the hotel did not look like the photos online and the constant bad smell—inside and outside—made the stay very unpleasant. The small anniversary gesture was nice, but it didn’t make up for all the issues. I would not recommend staying here.
