Hotel One Shot Fortuny 07 (Madrid, Spain) 16 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"When the first One Shot hotel opened, we had a feeling that, despite the name, there’d be more. After all, who can resist a stylish, youthful update to Madrid’s stately, formal atmosphere? Hotel One Shot Fortuny 07 is located in Almagro, an upscale neighborhood that’s home to embassies, art galleries, expensive homes, and high-end shops and restaurants. Which is to say, a hotel could get away with being a whole lot more conservative than this one." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and overall the experience was great. It’s on a quiet street with lots of embassies and offices nearby; it wasn’t super-buzzy but I always felt safe walking around even at night as a solo female traveler. The location is great, with buses and trains a short walk away. Major attractions are all easily accessible. |The lobby is small but features interesting modern art pieces, with a cute courtyard as well. The room is huge, and well-equipped (no iron in the room, but available on request). |Check-in was efficient but not particularly warm (likely not helped by my extremely limited Spanish skills). I arrived around 10am, and understandably my room wasn’t available for a few more hours, but even being shown where a bathroom was or recommendations for some nearby coffee spots would have been nice. Having flown from Australia, the chance to catch my breath before heading out again would’ve been welcome. |On the other hand, front desk was very helpful in offering me a travel adaptor for the duration of my stay when I foolishly left mine behind. |The room was very generous in size, with functioning windows (a real plus these days) and a comfy bed. Everything felt modern and was very clean.

It was a very good stay. We stayed at the hotel and the truth is that we loved it. It is very well located, close to everything but at the same time very quiet and pleasant. Comfortable, functional and modern rooms. The customer service is also wonderful and the breakfast is delicious. We will choose it again if we travel again to Madrid.

Keycard stopped working every single day, receptionist set the keycard for checkout yesterday instead of 3 nights, so because of her mistake i have to go back down to request my card gets rechecked where I had to again wait in line, then the card stopped working the next day probably because she put the wrong date again, and when i go back down again the next day then same receptionist gets an attitude (!!) and tells me to keep the card away from my phone (Having traveled for the past 20 years, I just love getting instructions on how to use a keycard from a receptionist who is clearly at fault here when it’s her job so she was probably trying to keep her job by covering it up and getting sassy at a client. The cards need to work, and receptionists need to do their job correctly as this is the one thing they are in fact paid for. Please hire trained staff, lots of quality people trained in hospitality here. Dear hotel one Shot Fortuny management, fire this aggressive and incompetent receptionist with curly blond hair who can’t get the dates right twice and dares to get an attitude whenever she fails to do her job, and hire a professional who actually wants to work here. If I wanted to fix your non working keycards on a daily basis and teach your staff how to write down a number I would have gone to a cheaper place. Having received feedback from the reception manager after that, I have increased the review from 2 to 3 stars. I hope they understand - the issue is not the mistake, but the entitled attitude of this one reception staff member while trying to cover their mistake.

Not an expert to benchmark hotels in Madrid (630euros for 2 nights for 1 person), but struggling to understand why they charge you sparking water at breakfast (because it is not on menu). You need to review your offering guys ;)

All in all I can recommend this hotel but please put some more effort into keeping the room standard up. It’s so cheap and fast to do some minor fixes as they would make a huge difference in the appearance of the room and stay.

Great hotel with amazing facilities. Considering its a 4 star hotel the service and food is just outstanding. I love the little touches they provided, such us jelly's, toothpaste and toothbrush teas and coffees and more. These little things makes a huge difference when you travel. The details in design are just outstanding, everything is matching and its just beautiful😍 The breakfast is simply amazing and I would recommend buying it as package! Location of this hotel is great and nearby great attractions and restaurants.

While the hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location, I had quite an unfortunate experience at the hotel. After a night out, I returned to the hotel and attempted to enter into my room. My key was no longer working. I had the reception program another key, which also did not work. Even the hotel's universal key didn't work - there was no way to enter the room. I was told I would have to wait until the next morning for maintenance to be able enter the room and retrieve my things. They gave me another room to sleep in, but I didn't have access to my clothes or toiletries, so it was not the most comfortable situation. The next morning when maintenance arrived, I was able to get back into my room, essentially giving me enough time to shower, change, and checkout to head to the airport. I understand that what occurred is not the reception's fault, but it still really hurt the hotel experience for me - considering this is a four star hotel that I paid quite a bit for. What made it worse was that nothing was offered to me as an apology by the hotel. I reached out to management to let them know what happened, and only then did they offer me a mere 15% discount on my next booking, which doesn't really feel like appropriate compensation for having been locked out of my room with no access to my things for the only night I had booked having spent 4 star hotel prices. While the gesture is better than nothing, I will not be returning.

Worst client service ever, completely ridiculous m. Hotel managed by beginners, worst ever. Sent a shirt to laundry and wasn’t washed because “i had not signed” the document.|Inexistent room service and bad attitude from everyone..|The 1st night they gave me a room with a broken shower and the AC not working. Asked for a change and took a 30 minutes negotiation
