We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the convenient location—close to the Prado Museum, Gran Via, and Atocha Station. As first-time visitors to Madrid, we found the city incredibly walkable, and the hotel’s position on a quiet street made it even better. Our room didn’t face the road, so we had absolutely no street noise and slept very comfortably. The staff was warm and welcoming throughout our stay, which we appreciated. While we had no major issues, there are a few suggestions for the management to enhance the overall experience: 1. The room could use a fresh coat of paint—there were visible scuff and shoe marks on the walls. 2. A privacy curtain and a towel rack in the bathroom would be helpful. 3. The shower drain needs attention—it’s oddly placed higher than the floor, which caused water to pool. 4. The TV had mostly Spanish-language channels—having at least one English-language channel would be a thoughtful touch for international guests. 5. Also, bottled water was not provided in the room, which we’ve found to be a standard courtesy in most European hotels. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring Madrid, with kind staff and peaceful surroundings—just a few updates would make the stay even better.

Excellent location central to all the major museums, galleries, the fabulous park El Retiro and super tapas bars and restaurants. The room we had was spacious with a terrace overlooking the road but we didn't find it too noisy at all. We liked the style and friendliness of the hotel. The staff were very helpful.

Fantastic hotel very central and close to all the main attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had a terrace and was clean and bright with a giant TV. Thoroughly recommended and we will return!

Good location and welcoming staff. Room is bare minimum essentials, but worked well for our two night stay.

This is a great budget hotel option! Great location, friendly staff, rooms are so quiet! Bed very clean and comfortable, bathroom very clean with a great rain showerhead. There is tea/coffee on each floor. The room was a bit banged up but it was not a deal breaker. I would definitely stay there again, clean and close to everything. I stayed with a friend who has been there 5 times and continues to return. Highly recommend for a budget option!

Great, convenient location. The staff was super helpful and polite. Room was clean, though as others have said, it looks a little banged up. The rooms could really use a fresh coat of paint and some refreshing, but everything was functional and clean. The only real drawbacks were the lighting in the shower/toilet area which really isn't sufficient when you want to see what you're doing, and the TV isn't a smart TV, so it just has a lineup of some local channels. That wasn't a really big deal to me, but just a heads up. Overall, I would stay here again.

Look at my pictures before reading this. This hotel is horrendous. I complained to the front desk about how bad the condition of our terrace room was in and they said it was due to a backup in maintenance work. I specifically pointed out the mold in the shower and they said it wasn’t mold just dirty! I fought enough to get my money back, I know other reviewers have not had the same luck. Also the lady at the front desk could not have been any nastier after I pointed out the issues of the room.
