I spent two nights at this hotel with my sons. Room was a good size and extremely clean. We had a room with a balcony and had a nice view of the street. Nice distance from our activities/tours. Walking distance from restaurants. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The breakfast was available till 11am.

We had a great time staying at Hotel One Shot Recoletos in Salamanca district of Madrid. I was travelling with my sister and hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance from everything: shops, restaurants, metro station and etc. We pretty much walked everywhere as Madrid is absolutely beautiful on a good day. The hotel staff was helpful when we needed some assistance and overall we had a smooth stay. The only downside would be the size of the room and the fact that there was no water left for us on the three days that we stayed there. I have stayed in many different hotels around Europe of the same rank and there is always a bottle of water in the suit. Otherwise, it is worth the price and Thanks again, would definitely return!

I visited in late December and stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions during this trip. I think that it is worth spending just a bit more to get a slightly nicer room option. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The water pressure is just about the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel. We had a special request for the hotel ahead of our trip and they accommodated us wonderfully. The staff are friendly, proficient in English and effective in answering questions. The hotel is located close to train and metro stations. Many of the tourist locations are accessible by walking as well.

Thia is the worst hotel i came to in ages. DO NOT BOOK. The boss working there is very rude, they are not trying to do anything for you and you will definitely not get your moneys worth. The rooms are nothing like the photos. Dont trust the photos. They are very rude! It was my friends birthday and because of them she started the day crying and very unhappy. They told us that the photos are for the premium rooms. However, it is impossible to understand what is economy and what is premium. There are no photos of economy and i asked them 5 times to show me in the booking.com page or their website to show me an economy room photo, but they said no, and couldn’t show me. The room definitely feels like you are staying at a prison, no light, no service and you are facing a wall. Also, keep in mind, you wont be able to lock the doors. It does lock from outside, but if you want to lock from inside to prevent someone to get inside even using a key, you wont be able to. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, does not deserve your money.

Paid 230 euros for a room in the basement ! Moisture, stench and no natural light. No control and security, people can walk in from the street without passing by reception. Probably one of the worst hotel in Madrid. DO NOT BOOK IT !

Staff was amazing, helpful and nice. The location is 1 minute walking to Puerta de Alcala, very good location. 5 minute walking to calle serrano. Absolutely nice neighborhood

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. They are supposedly a 4 star hotel and they certainly charge like a 4 star hotel but its really a high 2, maybe a low 3 star. Building is very very old and for that reason the rooms are small and cramped. They wanted to cram a King sized bed into that small of a room and ended up with no room to do anything else a all. Rooms are dark and the finishes are crappy. We complained and for 16 Euros more were given a "remodeled" or "reformed" room on a higher floor. Granted that the balcony (which was 1 foot deep) was nice, but the room was just the same as the old one with new wall paper and a coat of paint. Oh... Hotel provided safe is NOT bolted down to anything... So basically your valuables are locked in the safe, but anyone can grab the safe and go! I mentioned this to the reception and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "yup, thats the way it is" Complimentary coffee is instant coffee because One Shot is too cheap to get Nespresso machines. Bathroom doors do not close all the way and have a 2" gap (which they tried to cover with a plastic edge). Bathroom drain was cracking even though this was a remodeled room. Bed was hard as a rock and the pillow were hard and lumpy.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in September. As much as the staff were welcoming the rooms were completely different to what is shown on the website. The hallway light was broken and we were walking to our room in the complete dark. We got to our room which was very dark. There were marks on the walls .. not little marks either. It wasn’t feeling like a 4 star hotel at all.
