One Shot Tabakalera House (San Sebastian, Basque Country) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"For nearly a century, one of San Sebastián’s larges plots of land was occupied by a riverside tobacco factory. When the industry was privatized, the factory closed, and the Basque government snapped up the property with the plans to open a cultural center. Today, this landmark building has been cleverly redesigned — a prism-like glass roof now encloses the large interior courtyard, lending the structure a striking new silhouette. Today this old tobacco factory is the Tabakalera International Center for Contemporary Culture — and the One Shot Tabakalera House boutique hotel." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed here as part of a business trip. Pros were that the room was spacious, bed was very comfy and the internet was good. Small gym but good to have. Negatives were the noise and location. As this hotel is a little bit outside of town, the intention was that it would be a bit quieter and away from the loud bars in town. Unfortunately on two nights, I was woken by the noise on the street, and one of these lasted over three hours until 3.30 am. This was directly outside of my window and I contacted reception on several occasions to see what was going on. I raised this with staff the following day and although they did apologise for the disruption, essentially they said there was nothing they could do as this is the orientation of the rooms. Had I known how noisy the small square can get outside the hotel, I would not have booked. There is also not too much in terms of shops or restaurants nearby. Cleanliness was generally good, though the bathroom could do with an update in places and the shower would not drain unless the cover was taken off, meaning the shower room always ended up soaking wet.||Overall, the hotel did the job but I would not stay here again at the price paid, and it needs a bit of TCL in places. If you're here to stay out late it would be fine, but not as a business trip.

We loved staying at One Shot hotel! The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and provided us with lots of local recs. I would highly recommend staying at One Shot hotel with the only note being it is not "centrally" located and there is construction nearby at the moment. It is very close to the train / bus station and a 10 minute walk to old town / city centre.

We had a good time. Though it is a bit out of the town, it is quite and very close to the train/bus station, which makes day trip to Bilbao or other places easier. Thanks for leaving the notes and the nice service as well.

Stylish and spacious hotel perfect for a work trip with great amenities I stayed at One Shot Tabakalera House for work and really enjoyed the experience. The hotel has a modern and thoughtfully designed aesthetic, with high ceilings and spacious rooms and bathrooms. The room was well-equipped with a bathrobe, slippers, bottled water (in carton), teas and coffees, and a space to store luggage. The lighting system could be adjusted to suit your mood, which was a nice touch. The internet connection was strong, ideal for a work trip, and the location was excellent, just across the red bridge from the bus station. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, especially when assisting with transport and general inquiries. The bathroom was generously stocked with amenities, including shampoo, shower gel, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a razor, which was convenient. While most aspects of the stay were great, it would have been helpful if we had been provided with an extra towel or informed that more were available upon request. Also, I would have preferred a room on a higher floor, as ground floor rooms don’t offer a view and can feel a bit claustrophobic due to limited natural light. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that, but overall, the stay was comfortable and the hotel served its purpose very well.

Very attentive to your needs. Helped with coordinating luggage retrieval that Iberia airlines lost during our travel to San Sebastian, Spain. Within walking distance to Old Towne.

Great hotel in an old tabaco factory with very spacious rooms. The location is near the station and the popular areas of Donosti are within walking distance (5-20 minutes). We felt very safe in the neighborhood, also at night.

The hotel was disappointing. The property is cool and the rooms themselves are nice enough and quite spacious, although I did trap my hand in the sliding bathroom door (which had no stopper) which felt like a design floor. The staff on reception were friendly enough, albeit not very helpful - we had no refills of coffee over the 4 days we were there, we asked and they said no. We asked if they had beach towels to rent, they said no (crazy for a hotel in a well-known beach town!). Further to this is the location - reasonably central, but not very nice. It's next to the station and the square around the property is full of some undesirable people and we didn't feel very safe walking around at night.

The staff was friendly, the check-in was fast with a personal hand written card on the bed. The room was nice except the 2 single mattresses were too soft. The coffee was instant, we could expect a Nespresso like for a hotel of this standard.
