The hotel is really nice. Location is great and very quiet at night as there is no car traffic. Beds and bedding are very very comfortable and high quality: I had the best nights sleep. Feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud. The rooms and bathrooms are freshly renovated, clean and overall decor is very beautiful. I really loved the combinations of beautiful wall paint colours that work so well together. The breakfast is really one of the best I’ve had. Everything is offered on mini plates in tiny portions, giving you a chance to try many different dishes. Everything is very beautifully prepared and looks and tastes great. The atmosphere in the breakfast area is quiet and peaceful, and very cosy. You can als order warm eggs (omelet), but it did take about 20 mins, so be aware if you’re short on time. They also prepare the coffees barista style. The keys to the room are big and very heavy but you can leave them at reception before you go (it’s open 24/7). All in all I would love to stay here again. The staff have been all friendly too.

A delightful hotel on the edge of the old town, within walking distance of all the places to visit and the metro system. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff and service are courteous, helpful and available when needed. Excellent Wi-Fi and the right sort of breakfast to start the day. If we come back to Düsseldorf, this is where we'll stay again.

Loved our stay here. Great friendly service day and night, lovely breakfast, super comfortable quiet room and in perfect location for exploring the Düsseldorf - a couple of minutes walk from the river and close to the Altstadt but also easily walkable to other interesting parts of the city including Carlspaltz, where we had the best steak sandwich ever. Would 100% stay here again, thank you for making us feel so welcome!

This is a slightly odd review as I have not stayed in the hotel. Walking towards the river we were looking for somewhere quiet and smart to have a coffee/drink and as the hotel looked so charming and well kept went in and asked if they had a bar.|The lady asked reception said with a smile that they did not have gave a clear recommendation for a local bistro a few streets away. We were not customers but the service was helpful and a credit to the hotel. We will consider staying there on our next visit!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here while on personal business. The staff was so very kind and attentive. The owner cared about our experience and went out of his way to help us during our trip when we needed guidance. The breakfast was delicious with healthy options and variety; the restaurant staff were warm and professional, a great way to start the day. Absolutely we will return when in Dusseldorf!

This hotel is a very nice hotel with good breakfast, service and location. However there are no air condition in the room and this is why I can’t recommend this hotel when it it is warm outside. The standard room we had was very small but cosy and clean. Also it would be nice to have hair conditioner in the bath room.

Yelp
After living many years in Duesseldorf, we decided to stay in this charming looking hotel instead of an average one also because of the location. While I can imagine to recommend to others and come back myself, we were both nevertheless very disappointed about the room and service. While the check in was done in a professional and quick way, the check out was a desaster not only because we had to wait as the system/ PC stopped working and we had to let our friends wait, and we also stayed calm and quiet, the receptionist was totally stressed and we were the only guests at this moment, very patiently waiting. Even the colleague who was apparenty more responsible for the breakfast room could not bring her down.it stressed me much more than the 10 min waiting for the PC to restart! The breakfast was ok, with also some fresh fruits. On Sunday, at least there was somebody friendly to ask if everything is ok, coffee needed etc., while on Saturday, none of the used tables were cleaned or even one table done for 2 people- so we did ourselves. When the responsible finally started to clean towards the end of our breakfast, we escaped quickly as she was so hectical and loud that was a pain. the room was very quiet and clean. I had somehow expected something with more charme- similar to the design of the hotel from outside and in entrance area. The towels are as such that they seemed more like in a simple Asian bed and breakfast, also the closet in the entrance is more 70'ies style Also, I was disappointed that I had to leave our room unlocked as they couldn't provide us with a 2nd key and my husband decided to have a long night out, while pregnant in 6th month, I was returning well before midnight Yes, the hotel is safe but.I really don't feel comfortable or relaxed with a unlocked door. Overall: great location, bit overprized in comparison, quiet and clean (but simple/ rather average) room, and parking in the close public parking is 28EUR/ day. If we hadn't come with so high expectations due to traveling intensively over 10yrs to dozens of different hotels and also due to the charme expected inside, we would be maybe more positive and give 4* we might give a try when coming back to Duesseldorf, let's see!
