I had an absolutely wonderful stay here while on personal business. The staff was so very kind and attentive. The owner cared about our experience and went out of his way to help us during our trip when we needed guidance. The breakfast was delicious with healthy options and variety; the restaurant staff were warm and professional, a great way to start the day. Absolutely we will return when in Dusseldorf!

This hotel is a very nice hotel with good breakfast, service and location. However there are no air condition in the room and this is why I can’t recommend this hotel when it it is warm outside. The standard room we had was very small but cosy and clean. Also it would be nice to have hair conditioner in the bath room.

We had a great stay - the staff were very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in a hotel! The only downside was no air conditioning in our room but overall we were very impressed.

We stayed here during Boot. Fantastic central location within very easy reach of nightlife and wonderful market. Lovely room, warm welcome and some nice touches in terms of hospitality. Reception staff are super nice and very professional. Breakfast is generous and delicious. We would stay again.

Dear Orangerie, Thank you for a memorable stay. Most importantly - thanks to your staff. They were, without exception, helpful, pleasant, and thoroughly professional. It was a pleasure to be helped by them, especially Ed at the reception and the three untiring breakfast servers, who's names I didn't manage to catch. Second most, thank you for wonderfully appointed and diverse breakfast. It was excellent. We hope to see you again sometime.

This is probably the hotel with the friendliest service that I have ever visited - and I travel a lot.|This morning at 5:30, jet lagged and hungry I went downstairs. The moment I left the room, I could smell scent of fresh bread in the air. |When I arrived at the breakfast room, a super friendly gentlement, Rudi, offered to prepare breakfast for me even though it was only scheduled to start at 7:00.|He prepared fresh scrambled egg and coffee for me and let me choose from a wide variety of bread, cold cuts and cheese even though the buffet preparations had not even started yet. Rudi seemed genuinely happy that he could help his guest.|The other staff members here are also very friendly, with lots of positive energy. Highly recommended.

Yelp
After living many years in Duesseldorf, we decided to stay in this charming looking hotel instead of an average one also because of the location. While I can imagine to recommend to others and come back myself, we were both nevertheless very disappointed about the room and service. While the check in was done in a professional and quick way, the check out was a desaster not only because we had to wait as the system/ PC stopped working and we had to let our friends wait, and we also stayed calm and quiet, the receptionist was totally stressed and we were the only guests at this moment, very patiently waiting. Even the colleague who was apparenty more responsible for the breakfast room could not bring her down.it stressed me much more than the 10 min waiting for the PC to restart! The breakfast was ok, with also some fresh fruits. On Sunday, at least there was somebody friendly to ask if everything is ok, coffee needed etc., while on Saturday, none of the used tables were cleaned or even one table done for 2 people- so we did ourselves. When the responsible finally started to clean towards the end of our breakfast, we escaped quickly as she was so hectical and loud that was a pain. the room was very quiet and clean. I had somehow expected something with more charme- similar to the design of the hotel from outside and in entrance area. The towels are as such that they seemed more like in a simple Asian bed and breakfast, also the closet in the entrance is more 70'ies style Also, I was disappointed that I had to leave our room unlocked as they couldn't provide us with a 2nd key and my husband decided to have a long night out, while pregnant in 6th month, I was returning well before midnight Yes, the hotel is safe but.I really don't feel comfortable or relaxed with a unlocked door. Overall: great location, bit overprized in comparison, quiet and clean (but simple/ rather average) room, and parking in the close public parking is 28EUR/ day. If we hadn't come with so high expectations due to traveling intensively over 10yrs to dozens of different hotels and also due to the charme expected inside, we would be maybe more positive and give 4* we might give a try when coming back to Duesseldorf, let's see!
