Hótel Örk

Awsome from 1 to 10 ❤️ I came and had 2 wonderful days with my two children aged 2 and 5 and wow we managed to relax and many would say HA relax alone with two children so young. But believe me the calm that prevails over this hotel makes everyone relax and the three of us will come home relaxed and calm after the wonderful two nights we had here and the best thing is that most everything is within walking distance 🤗

Stayed overnight as part of a 5 day tour, so can’t comment on value for money but I really enjoyed my stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable and loved the restaurant as well, great atmosphere.|Pool and hot tub were nice, although a little older than some newly refurbished parts of the building. But clean and was a nice way to spend the evening looking at the stars.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable room. All of the staff were helpful and welcoming. The breakfast had too many options to mention and the atmosphere was relaxing and refreshing.

This was an excellent hotel. Quick and pleasant check-in, and the room we had on the basement floor was very spacious and nicely decorated. It was a junior suite, so it was probably bigger than a regular double room. A small patio with a couple of chairs and a table was part of the room. The breakfast was also very good, and it was an extra plus to have a pool at the back of the hotel, free for all guests to use. Free parking.|I also liked the surroundings with Reykjadalur, The Geothermal Park and several cafes and restaurants, grocery store and gas station nearby. We ate at The Greenhouse, which was easy and good.

Over all very pleasant. Room old and carpet smelled though.||Breakfast very nice and service as well, only the check in was strange, we were early and the reception didn´t check if the room was ready, just said " check in 15,00 o´clock". We were a group and everybody got the same answer. But got in around 14,00 when we were back again.||Christmas dinner good and the swimming pool, ping ping and pool table was nice.||Over all nice and pleasant.

It’s always nice to check into a property that creates a good impression even from the outside. Hotel Ork is one such. The receptionist was super efficient, gave us our rooms and a briefing, dispensing with the formality of asking for our passports. The room (and bathroom) was large and very comfortable. We had the traditional Icelandic Lamb Soup which was a generous serving and quite fantastic. I’d strongly recommend this property for those doing the Ring Road or a South Iceland tour.

My plane was diverted to Iceland for an emergency and passengers were sent to this hotel. I was surprised how clean, modern and nice this hotel was. Spacious rooms, spotless clean, with super friendly staff. Location wise its in the middle of nowhere (or so it seemed to me), but there are beautiful views around.

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Ork. Thank you for the free upgrade with balcony, we stood out on this Tuesday evening and enjoyed the Northern Lights. Breakfast, great choice and tasty. Enjoyed games room, and outdoor and swimming pool whilst it was snowing. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.
