Hótel Örk

This was an excellent hotel. Quick and pleasant check-in, and the room we had on the basement floor was very spacious and nicely decorated. It was a junior suite, so it was probably bigger than a regular double room. A small patio with a couple of chairs and a table was part of the room. The breakfast was also very good, and it was an extra plus to have a pool at the back of the hotel, free for all guests to use. Free parking.|I also liked the surroundings with Reykjadalur, The Geothermal Park and several cafes and restaurants, grocery store and gas station nearby. We ate at The Greenhouse, which was easy and good.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable room. All of the staff were helpful and welcoming. The breakfast had too many options to mention and the atmosphere was relaxing and refreshing.

It’s always nice to check into a property that creates a good impression even from the outside. Hotel Ork is one such. The receptionist was super efficient, gave us our rooms and a briefing, dispensing with the formality of asking for our passports. The room (and bathroom) was large and very comfortable. We had the traditional Icelandic Lamb Soup which was a generous serving and quite fantastic. I’d strongly recommend this property for those doing the Ring Road or a South Iceland tour.

We loved our one night stay here! We were upgraded to a junior suite and it was beautiful! Very clean, spacious and modern room. It was quite warm in the room, but plenty of windows to open to cool it off. Loved the simple touches with all of the amenities. Breakfast was a large selection and delicious. Across the street is a really cute food hall!

My plane was diverted to Iceland for an emergency and passengers were sent to this hotel. I was surprised how clean, modern and nice this hotel was. Spacious rooms, spotless clean, with super friendly staff. Location wise its in the middle of nowhere (or so it seemed to me), but there are beautiful views around.

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Ork. Thank you for the free upgrade with balcony, we stood out on this Tuesday evening and enjoyed the Northern Lights. Breakfast, great choice and tasty. Enjoyed games room, and outdoor and swimming pool whilst it was snowing. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

Got a standard room that had been recently renovated. Simple, no frills.||Had dinner from the restaurant, can't say I was overly impressed but can't complain either as the hotel personnel are wonderful. ||Breakfast was much better though not alot of choices, but enough to start your day. ||All in all, the hotel met my needs for the night I stayed.

Staff was very friendly at check-in. The superior room was very spacious and the standard was spacious enough! Both were clean and comfortable with decent-sized bathrooms (note that we had renovated rooms). Location was a perfect 2-day stop as we traveled South Iceland and the Golden Circle. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good. Probably the best of the 6 hotels we stayed at in Iceland! (Note, we visited in May)
