Orphée Andreasstadel (Regensburg, Bavaria) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Restaurant Orphée in the old Regensburg city center bills itself as the most authentic French bistro east of the Rhine, and it’s got a few rooms upstairs — but the Orphée Andreastadel, its sister hotel, occupies the ground floor of an updated barn a ten-minute walk to the north, on the opposite bank of the Danube. Of its ten rooms, six feature patios overlooking the verdant riverbank. All of them come with kitchenettes and breakfast service, and if you’re looking for a restaurant idea — a French bistro, perhaps? — the Andreastadel’s staff is quick with a recommendation." - Tablet Hotels

This is a marvelous place to stay. You must pay a bit more than usual, but you are accommodated in a beautiful and a bit astounding atmosphere. The room is very large and sumptiously decorated. Breakfast is brought and dropped off outside your door on a tray. The parking area had 2 charging stations and they charged a low rate. Minus points: The quality of the breakfast was good, but the amount was too small! The online description said "terrace"... we had none. The parking cost 15€ per night and was a 5 minute walk.

We stayed here for two nights. It is across the river from the "old town" and very quiet. ||It is downstairs from an art gallery and student apartments but I didn't hear a peep from whatever was above me while I was there. The rooms are huge and eclectic to say the least, but very comfortable with a small kitchen and dining table. Very comfortable bed.||The coded entry system for off hours can be a bit confusing, but necessary for security as it is a public building upstairs.||||The river side rooms have a patio, and if you peek between the trees you can see the river. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning, and it is more than adequate, quite nice actually, and much more than I was expecting. The usual cold meats, cheese and fruit, with various breads juice and coffee. Very filling and the "breakfast in bed" option is very nuce actually.||||This is the only of the Orphee Hotels with a parking lot. It is about a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, and it is not free, but very large and easy to navigate, something truely unusual in Germany.||||It is only a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the old town so the location is not inconvenient at all, in fact it was nice to get away from the crowds. it is a little hard to find without a navigation system, but worth it.||||I would also note that the staff here were the friendliest of my 3 weeks travelling about Bavaria. Very helpful, smiling, kind greetings, all in all a nice surprise. Hotel staff in Germany can be a bit "cold", but not here.||||I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and plan to stay there again in fact this Oktober.

Stayed here for five days during recent business trip to the area, This is a small hotel close to the center of the city within walking distance to the river and all the restaurants and shops. Rooms are huge and tastefully furnished. TV has an excellent reception but only several channels are in English. Of course, huge selection of German language channels. Bed is comfortable. Plenty of light in the room with two big windows. There is a small kitchen also. Bathroom is big and clean. Shower water pressure is good. Breakfast is delivered every day at the requested time directly to the room - it's so big that it's impossible to eat everything on the tray. Everything tastes great and fresh. There is also a paid parking (7 euros a day) provided by the hotel, but not on the property. At most 3-5 minutes walk. WiFi is reliable and fast. I really can not find a single negative thing to say about the place. It's absolutely excellent. I definitely will stay here again if I come back to Regensburg.

We like this hotel and come here for the Jazz festival once a year, for many years already.|„Landhaus“ may be a bit misleading, you will find yourself still in the city, but on an island in the river Danube. Reception service is a bit limited; it feels more like a small and charming apartment building. The rooms are big, some of them face the river and have a small terrace, others ore simply on street level and even have a door to the street. This may feel somehow disturbing, so better make sure wich type of room you get. We love to make use of the street situation by sitting outside on the street in candlelight late in the night, which most passers-by find very romantic.|The walk to downtown over the old stone bridge is simply wonderful, breathtaking view and such a friendly, lively crowd of people everywhere!

Been coming to Regensburg during Advent time for years. Used to stay in different hotel in the area and wanted a little change but to stay close. The location is quiet. The only little minus might be a limited time one can park in front of hotel to unload the baggage and to move to hotel's parking place which is charged. The entrance hall is kind of funny but I like it. Something a bit different compared to most hotels around the world. But it makes me feel at home. The rooms are surprisingly charming. Large and nicely decorated. Yes the view to the street is not very interesting, but that is not what I need from a hotel. The breakfast is served in the room. It makes me feel even more at home. And it is excellent. Will definitely return if I am in Regensburg and of course if there are rooms available.

Arriving at the hotel it is completely unassuming and we were prepared to be disappointed however the warm welcome and the rooms themselves more than made up for it. The rooms are huge, beautifully fitted out and have additional utilities (eg mini kitchen) and the most amazing showers. Although not air conditioned the size of the rooms meant they stayed beautifully cool during our stay.||||Breakfast in the morning is served on trays to your room - and was absolutely delightful. Nice touches of fresh flowers and candle - the kids thought it was very special and grown up!||||Very handy to the old town centre which is just a short walk over the stone bridge - 10 minutes at most. Plenty of dining options within a few hundred meters also. The staff are so friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay here.||||Beware though travelling with GPS and multiple establishments with the Orphee name... we ended up initially down a narrow cobbled Rd at the Grand Orphee in the heart of the pedestrian zone - the marriage survived but only just!

We stayed at the sister hotel the Orphee Landhaus and i can't speak highly enough of the place. Huge rooms (try and get one with a patio), 4 poster bed, great bathroom (with the best shower ever) and small cooking area if you're hungry. It's across the river from the centre of regensburg so get a taxi if travelling by train. ||||The staff were excellent. ||||Enjoy the breakfast brought to your door! ||||we can't wait to go back there!

You might think a hotel calling itself "Country Manor" would be, if not in the country, at least in a park surrounded by grass and some trees? That was why I booked three nights there, just outside the centre of Regensburg, looking forward to a bit more relaxation than you would get from a city-centre hotel.||||But all the rooms on our side of the hotel were smack on a road. The hotel said all the rooms on the other side were full. Pictures attached show the view from our window. It wasn't a busy road to be sure, but there was traffic, even a little through the night. And there were a LOT of people walking up and down the pavement which was right outside, as all the hotel rooms were on the ground floor. Everyone walking past could have seen right in, so we had to keep the curtains pulled the whole time. ||||I don't think I have ever stayed in a room that feel so public, with people walking past, talking, whistling etc. And on Friday and Saturday nights, quite a few of them had obviously had a good time in a local beer garden and were going home well into the small hours of the night. I am glad they had a good time, but we certainly didn't, in bed with them walking past about 6 foot away.||||And the hotel didnt even have any grounds, where we could have gone and sat on the grass, under trees and chilled out. There was absolutely nothing. It was the most urban, unpleasant hotel I have stayed in, just when I had decided to indulge in a little "country luxury".
