We stayed for 2 nights as part of a self-driving tour of Andalucia. (Also visiting, Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and Malaga), and while it was a very good standard hotel, and the most expensive one we stayed in on our trip, it was not our favourite. The good points - it is a great central location. There is a lovely cool, calm reception area, with helpful staff. Really loved the downstairs courtyard and breakfast room area, and breakfast was very good. The bedroom itself was very spacious with good A/C. We had a lovely view over the courtyard. Considering the cost of the hotel though, we were a little disappointed not to find a walk-in shower, - that we had to climb into the bath in order to take a shower! A little surprising for a 5 star hotel. Also, once you opened the wardrobe to access the minibar or safe, most of the shelving was very dusty. (Hence the loss of 1 star for the review).

A monastery converted into a luxury property, the Santa Paula is pure delight. Minutes away from the Granada Cathedral and the souvenir shops and about a 15-min walk away from the path that begins the climb up to Alhambra, this hotel was the perfect choice for our 3-night stay. Wr chose a room in the old section and was charmed by our space, including quiet courtyards and tinkling fountains. A big shout out to the Front Desk team and the El Claustro restaurant team: friendly, helpful, efficient, you made our stay extra special. Top tip: book a dinner at El Claustro for a fine authentic local dining experience. Top tip outside the hotel: A fish market is very near. Buy your own fish and have it cooked in the affiliated restaurants a couple of steps away.

We stayed at this hotel one year ago and we are back so they must be doing something right.|This is a lovely hotel and all of the staff are lovely.|Staff on reception are so welcoming and helpful. They will use their plethora of knowledge to make a stay in Granada more enjoyable.|I used valet parking and this was great.|The staff at breakfast were wonderful and they taught me some Spanish as well.|Management must give all of the staff a big pat on the back. Is it too much to ask for a pay rise for them?|The room was so comfortable and I slept like a proverbial log.|Thank you to everyone. I knew that it was the right decision to come back.

This place is so beautiful because of its unique architecture, used to be a nunnery. The high wooden ceilings,, gorgeous courtyard… The room we stayed was large with an also large - two sink bathroom. The location wise, it’s hard to beat because it’s right in the middle of the city. So close by the old town and the churches! I would recommend it!

The location of this hotel is perfect and the hotel staff were very friendly. We purchased the hotel buffet for breakfast and Veronica was extremely helpful with my son's severe nut allergy. She made sure he was safe and we felt very cared for. She made our trip extra special. We would definitely stay here again.

Our first time in Granada and we loved it. We had a warm welcome from the team who went above and beyond with their hospitality and service. Special thanks to David at the front desk, and Almo for her service at the hotel restaurant. The food at the restaurant was beautifully executed, tasty and they also catered well for vegans. The hotel is simply stunning with a divine courtyard and original architecture from its time as the Santa Paula Monastery and the casa Morisca. From the hotel, it was easy to walk to shops and restaurants. One minor quibble: I really wish the hotel would get some proper steam irons for guests to use! The non-steam iron that was available really wasn’t very useful! However, we do intend on visiting again!

Very nice hotel but could use some improvements. The rooms are very dark and some have little to no windows except to a court yard. My first impression on entering my room felt I was|entering a cave. Dark walls with little light that made it hard to see. The bed was rickety the AC didn’t work . I was unable to change rooms because the hotel was booked. Took engineering 45 minutes to fix the AC . Provided me an extra lamp good but not great and fixed the bed by placing a rag under one of the legs. Certainly these issues are something I would not expect in luxury hotel .

If you plan to visit Granada I can without second thought recommend this amazing hotel. Feels liked travelling in time and you stay in a monument. The public spaces are stunning loved the patio and the bar. Centrally and very conveniently located. Whenever I will visit again Granada I will definitely stay here again
