Their breakfast is great! I sat on the terrace over looking the valley while drinking my cappuccino while working on my laptop. Very quiet place to relax and knowing that I can walk to the center where all the action is. Parking is available. And they sell their own olive oil and several wines are available.

This was such a lovely spot, we were sorry to only stay one night. The hotel is gorgeous, matched only by the view from the terrace, but the best part of our experience was Giacomo, our host for the night. He was so kind and helpful and I would not hesitate to return to spend more time. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It’s a short walk into Siena, even if it’s a bit rainy. One tip: if you have rented a car make sure it’s small - the entry into the driveway is tight! But charming like the rest of the property.

Unfortunately, we didn't have the pleasure of spending two nights here as planned, as we had booked the wrong date due to an error in the booking system. Although the policy did not allow for free cancellation and it was our mistake, the hotel was kind enough to cancel our booking free of charge. Giacomo was very friendly and helpful and even offered us alternative dates, which we unfortunately couldn't take up. If we ever come back to Siena, we will definitely book here again!

We recently took a 3 week trip to Italy and Croatia and Palazzo Di Valli was our absolute favorite hotel. We stayed for 5 nights while exploring Tuscany by rental car. The location was perfect for us since it was outside of the crazy city center of Siena so easy for us to get our days of exploration started early on the road. It is about a mile walk to the Siena city center so keep that in mind. We tried to take the bus into the main square but were not successful (one bus didn't stop and the other never came).||The Palazzo is beautifully decorated and the grounds are out of a Tuscany magazine. I couldn't stop taking pictures. We had a gorgeous room on the second floor with 2 windows in the room and one in the bathroom. The views were breath taking. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Eating outside on the patio overlooking the city and countryside was sublime. The helper at breakfast Susana was very sweet and efficient and responsive. Giacomo the host is a sincere and warm person who genuinely wants his guests to enjoy the beauty and charm of his country. He gave us many tips for our exploration of the countryside as well as local restaurants. It's certainly not the cheapest but I would say it is an experience not to be missed.||Beware- google maps locates it incorrectly to be on a side road but it is directly off of the main road. there is a sign for the Palazzo which we blew past while following the google maps directions. we had a small suv and were able to maneuver our car through the entrance (other reviewers mention the narrow driveway) with some patience. it's important to enter and exit though their gate as perpendicularly as possible. there were 2 of us in the car which helped. i could imagine it being a bit dicey trying to maneuver it alone though. the water was soft which is of no fault to the owners. no elevator which was ok for us but might be an issue for others. there are rooms located at street level though.

We were in Italy for nearly 3 weeks, but this was our favorite stay of all. We spent 3 nights at Hotel Palazzo di Valli, in a room with a vaulted, frescoed ceiling and a gorgeous view of the Siena hillside. Our room was quiet, spotlessly clean, and felt welcoming with an in-room tea service that included cookies. Breakfast, held on the terrace level, included the typical generous continental fare we found throughout Italy, but the cappuccinos were particularly good. ||The proprietors, Giacomo and Lorenzo, gave more of a vibe of hosts or future friends than is typically true of short hotel stays (and Palazzo di Valli felt more boutique than any of the others), showing us hospitality throughout our time there. They entered into our plans, sitting down with us to help us bring them to fruition, and offering excellent ideas of their own. They even helped us figure out how to get to our next stop, Assisi. A previous guest had created a couple of bound photo books of her stays with them, clearly demonstrating her appreciation of the uniqueness of this experience. Siena’s town wall is only a 10-minute walk, with Piazza del Campo another 10 beyond that, making this boutique hotel, which welcomed us with such hospitality, well worth it.

A Tuscan Dream at Palazzo di Valli Nestled just minutes from the historic center of Siena, Palazzo di Valli is an unforgettable gem that perfectly blends old-world charm with warm Italian hospitality. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished with antiques that reflect the building’s rich history. Our room had high ceilings, traditional tiled floors, and a view that looked like a postcard. What truly sets Palazzo di Valli apart is the service. The hosts are welcoming and go above and make you feel at home, offering excellent recommendations for local restaurants and tipps for Siena. Breakfast is served on the terrace, where you can savor fresh pastries, fruit, and coffee while soaking in the peaceful landscape. Whether you’re exploring Siena’s medieval streets or simply relaxing in the gardens with a cup of coffee, Palazzo di Valli offers a stay that is both serene and inspiring.

Visited for one night in June 2025 at start week's holiday from our home in nearby Emilia. Lovely location just outside the dreaded ZTL. Very peaceful, beautiful views all around, excellent guest communication from Giacomo, one the owners, on the morning of departure, after a well managed and complete breakfast service. Definitely worth a return visit and to be recommended. A few elements probably made me not include that top star. Pricey, but this is Siena. Reception up an outside entrance stair which also has to be used to gain entry in the evening together with entry code when reception is closed and to facilitate the opening of the downstairs door in the evening, even though a ground floor room is what we had expected due to a recent knee operation. Fortunately reception was able to change our room, after contacting the owners, to ground floor although I had expected our type of room to be all ground floor as specified on the website. If guests have stair restrictions this could be a big problem. The room was really very small but adequate and the bed was rather uncomfortable for me with no topper but I am still recovering so the bed may be fine for others although my husband also found it lacking and a bit short. Disturbance from upstairs and early showering etc from around 0630 was a nuisance The bar is very limited with very few choices, Aperol Spritz but no Campari, my favourite. Whilst there are some seats under the shade of trees in the grounds a little table would be helpful also, rather than a tray on the ground. The outside terrace is well furnished but was in full sun at our time of visit. The biggest problem was the entrance gate off the main road. We followed, incorrectly, computer instructions and ended up going along a road pararell to the hotel, with no entrance obviously. We had to turn on this narrow road and then try to make a very tight turn into the gates of the hotel which my husband ended up dunting and scraping our car's bumper. Repair still to be done which won't be cheap. Caviat everyone if you've got a hire car! Even both taxi drivers that evening made issue about the gate and both had to park their mirrors. It is not just by coincidence that there is a garage repair business just to the left of the gates. They probaby do good business from these gates? We did however enjoy our stay and would recommend booking especially as there is parking for around 8-10 cars if drivers park considerately notwithstanding the entrance gate.

This was our second stay at the beautiful villa in Siena and we didn't regret coming back. Very nice, friendly staff, abundant breakfast for Italy. The rooms are newly renovated, but have kept their Tuscan charm. We will certainly come back!
