The palazzo itself is charming, but unfortunately the room left a lot to be desired. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, with noticeable springs, and the bedding had a tear. Some towels had holes, which made everything feel a bit worn out.
There was also a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, and the toilet seat didn’t fit properly, it was far too small. The place clearly needs some renovation and updating.
That said, breakfast was decent, and the highlight of our stay was Lucy, who made the best coffee and brought a warm, personal touch each morning. She really made a difference.
