Hotel Palmenhof

I recently stayed at Hotel Palmenhof and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is convenient - it’s very near from railway station, Messe and Goethe Strauss. The Airbnb rooms at the property are quite good and comfortable. However, it’s worth noting that the toilet and bathroom facilities are shared. While they were clean and well-maintained during my stay, this setup may not suit everyone’s preferences, especially if you’re looking for complete privacy.

The hotel is conveniently located close to public transport and walkable distance to the inner city for sightseeing and shopping. Unfortunately, rooms with windows to the Bockenheimer Landstraße main street are noisy at night, with speeding sports cars, drunkards hollering and police chases. The rooms are badly designed. While the curtains in the main room are impervious to light, the adjacent bathroom has no curtains and is divided from the main room by merely a glass door, letting lots of light through at night. Breakfast was okay, but I would recommend to stay away from the sliced fruit and fish as they appeared not fresh during my stay.

We enjoy a hearty meal that doesn't break the bank. Choice consistently delivers good, honest food at a fair price. The booths are comfortable, and the coffee is always hot. You know what you're getting, and that is a comfort.

The hotel we stayed at 2 day and one night. Breakfast is awesome, but worker’s not looks good. She is kind of angry woman down there.Perhaps everything is very good. Clean safe and near to downtown.

The hotel room is spacious and functional. The cleanliness level rates higher than that of average hotels in European countries. Buses and trams are within a five - minute walk.

Lovely hotel with spacious and well - functioning facilities and furniture. Hidden in the quiet street but very accessible by public transport to the city, especially the main train station. Highly recommend.

The hotel is old, but cozy. The rooms were big and the service at the front desk really good. However, we were really disappointed by the breakfast. The coffee machine is dirty from the outside and even after a four days’ stay nothing changed. Clean cups are stored on a dirty storage plate on the top of the machine. The fruits and the bread selection were good but everything worked the first come first served way. The tables were not very clean and the bread baskets probably never washed? I am sad to write this review though, since the rest of the hotel has history and could have a grand value in this place.

Hotel Palmenhof is a beautiful hotel,not glitzy or posh, but a lovely restored building within, 30 minutes or so, of the city center.

Decor is more than a tad outdated. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was average. Nothing spectacular. Beds are quite stiff. Gaudy mirrors everywhere in room. More like a bed and breakfast mom and pop inn. their internet is not very good. I probably would not stay there again.
