Hotel Palmenhof

Second time in this hotel and probably wont come back. Its kinda old and when you use the bathroom, it doesn't flush well. Reception first day was good but when I checked out the guy was not very friendly and not helpful at all. There are better options in Frankfurt to stay.

The room was at the back of the hotel and was quiet (as we had asked). It was clean, a good size, there was a tilt and turn window, a good sized double bed, TV, kettle, complimentary bottles of water, glasses, coffee and coffee cream, plenty of towels, toiletries and slippers.|The location was, for our purposes, ideal - very close to Westend U-bahn and the 36 bus, good cafés and a Rewe corner shop.|We did not book or try breakfast as we had made other arrangements elsewhere in town.|It is a personal matter but the mattress transmitted any movement while lying on it from one end of the matter. I am a light sleeper and so kept being woken by my partner's movements. Next time we stay here we'll get twin beds rather than a double.

The hotel is old, but cozy. The rooms were big and the service at the front desk really good. However, we were really disappointed by the breakfast. The coffee machine is dirty from the outside and even after a four days’ stay nothing changed. Clean cups are stored on a dirty storage plate on the top of the machine. The fruits and the bread selection were good but everything worked the first come first served way. The tables were not very clean and the bread baskets probably never washed? I am sad to write this review though, since the rest of the hotel has history and could have a grand value in this place.

Great stay! Loved the balcony and nice location next to the botanical gardens. Very clean and we appreciated the complimentary waters. Would recommend! :D

Shower didn't work in the room. Reception said that this is due to the fact that the house is old. Very old and dysfunctional equipment in the room. On the opposite, very good breakfast

Enjoyed two nights stay here, staying in a single room on the top floor, which was cosy and comfortable and reasonably priced. The room and en suite are well thought out, well equipped and squeaky clean. The staff, although not super friendly, were polite and efficient. It's about 10 minutes walk to the Opera House. A lovely modern hotel with an old school vibe.

Nice neighborhood, close to the Botanical Garden :) The room was clean and spacious. Good mattress and pillow. Only the closet had a strong smell, but we didn't have to use it. Very calm.

Decor is more than a tad outdated. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was average. Nothing spectacular. Beds are quite stiff. Gaudy mirrors everywhere in room. More like a bed and breakfast mom and pop inn. their internet is not very good. I probably would not stay there again.
