This is for our visitors. A real review.
Don’t be defeated by the photos.
The rooms are awfully outdated.
Reception doesn’t wish to be there.
Avoid 4th floor rooms, it’s below restaurant, so the noice will get you. Staff starts working at 7am and they are super loud. No water pressure and temp. No Shampoo, no desks or drawers. ACs are super loud.
The restaurant at the lower level is really nice, pool is ok. Price wise it’s a rip off.

They make checking in quick and easy and I appreciate it. A little overpriced as the rooms haven't been renovated for a while but it has an amazing restaurant and quick service

Room was spotless and clean everyday. The only drawback is there was not a microwave. (Older building not wired for microwave s). The front office staff was more than accommodating in finding one to heat my food. Plus, they found silverware for me. Welcoming and friendly. Good job!

Clean, older, atmospheric, not expensive. great helpful staff in wonderful location centrally located. 2 good restaurants on-site. The vegan one on ground floor is fantastic.

Old charming building full of character and maintained well. Beautiful glasswork on the entryway. Great rooftop restaurant and vegan cafe connected to the hotel. Private balconies in all rooms. Strong reliable wifi. A few blocks from the beach.

Loved the location however the hotel is old and needs some upgrading. Between the rooftop restaurant and French Canadians it was very noisy. Cleaning only once a week. Very poorly stocked kitchen, poor towels….I wouldn’t stay there again.

Check in was a bit rough but this wasn't the hotels fault but Booking.com did not communicate very well with the front desk. The staff there handled it very professionally and all was well. When we got into our room it was immaculate along with entire property. We had a large deck looking to the west (ocean side), great shower, full kitchen too. Housekeeping was there every morning and kept it spotless. The entire staff did a outstanding job and all were very friendly and cheerful. There is a restaurant on the roof which was very good and a breakfast place on the first floor also. It was a pleasure to stay here and will be back next year!

Stayed here for 16 days. Wonderful experience. There are different classes of rooms. The best rooms have a kitchen and their own terrace. These are reserved years in advance. Forget about getting them. The rest have no view . All the rooms are old but clean. Nice towels, tube tvs with lots of English channels, new air conditioners. Average sized cement pool and deck chairs. Very friendly and helpful. Our hallway was cleaned at least 2 times per day. If you are looking for basic clean room with great friendly service, This is the place. If you want a fancy vacation spot, look further. New vegetarian restaurant just opened downstairs. The restaurant upstairs has one of the best views in town. Some reviewers said the meals are hit and miss. Ours was good. It is located near numerous small grocery stores and a large supermarket. There are taco stands all over. Bus stops are near by. This is 3 blocks from the ocean. So you only see the ocean in the distance. They are one of the few hotels that has a mission statement on their website. They practice what they preach.
