Hotel Palym

Everything about this hotel was just right. The location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by everything you could need. We stayed in a spacious room for three, with one double bed and one single, and both were very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and customer-focused. Plus, the area has great convenience: a coffee shop right next door, a tiki bar across the street, and plenty of food vendors nearby. Highly recommend!

Amazing location, in the heart of Biarritz on a lively street with the most gorgeous beach 3 minutes down. Cool surfer and Hawaii vibes. Super friendly and attentive staff. Room with AC 🤌🏻

Great hotel , pleasant decoration, clean room. ➕ The Palmito is ideally located, just steps from Port-Vieux Beach and Rocher de la Vierge. ➕ Super powerful hair dryer, fast drying. Excellent location on the pedestrian street with plenty of bars and restaurants. ➖ No refrigerator in the room. We will definitely come back! I highly recommend it! Visited April 2025

Stayed here for four nights, situated right in the centre of Biarritz. Hotel is nice, staff very friendly. Room quite small with a very small bed and bathroom but very clean & tidy. The only complaint we have was the AC breaking down on our last night, it was the warmest night so we roasted in the room. Staff provided a fan but it was so loud it was almost impossible to sleep. Slept great up till this point with the hotel nice and quiet.

Don’t be fooled by nice pictures, check the rooms yourself before checking in. Otherwise, you will fall into the dark, claustrophobic burrow, with no sunlight. The only window is in a deep and narrow niche that you have to squeeze into to see if it's day or night. Even then, you can only see the walls and a patch of sky high up. The room is much smaller than advertised, unless you add the balcony in a deep, dark, concrete well. On the other hand, the hotel is well located and the staff is very friendly. You can probably spend a really nice time there, as long as you get a decent room. We weren't so lucky, so we changed hotels, and the money we paid was easily refunded.

Summary: feels like a kind of party hotel that while was is still ok today was once quite nice, is now in need of much maintenance. Pros: good service and location, nice overall aesthetic Cons: very loud (across from a club bar) and everything is kind of falling apart (our balcony door was damaged so it didn’t close correctly, the shower door had the rubber sealant coming apart so it didn’t shut properly, and the tv remote had the rubber coming off)

We got the tropical ocean room not knowing that these rooms are placed right in front of the palmito restaurant. If you get a tropical ocean room, though you are paying more than standard, they all face out onto the street. Unfortunately, at night the restaurant blasts on top volume reggae, bachata, mariachi, and club music till midnight or one in the morning. And the songs repeat themselves. The sound proof doors only get rid of 75% of the sound. It is strange to me that the business would create something that diminishes the quality and reputation of their primary business. So, if everyone in your party does not have noise cancelling headphones, I wouldn't book this type of room. The size of the room and cleanliness were to what I expected, however there was a lot of dust under the bed. I did ask for two extra towels to get sent up to my room, but that never happened, stating there were not enough towels to go around the hotel at the time. The reception personnel that I interacted with on a daily basis were kind and helpful.

We overall liked the decor and location of the hotel. However we had a couple of issues. There was a water leaking from the toilet in our room - and the solution proposed by the hotel was to put more towels on the floor… When we checked out, we had to hang out in the hotel for little longer and it was raining. The hotel doesn’t offer any toilet once you check out and the solution proposed was to go the toilet of the restaurant in front which was completely disgusting and not clean. This hotel definitely needs improvement in terms of sanitary and hygiene.
