We stayed at Hotel Panda for 4 days and 3 nights during our visit to Rome, and the highlight of this hotel is definitely its location. Situated right in the city center, many of Rome’s iconic landmarks such as Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, as well as shopping streets and restaurants are all within walking distance. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
The hotel is located on the third floor of the building. During our stay, the lift was unfortunately out of service, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Something to consider if you're bringing large or heavy bags.
Check-in was fast and efficient. Just a reminder that, like many places in Italy, there is a city tax charged separately at check-in, which is not included in the initial booking price. And they only accept cash, so be prepared.
We booked a triple room with a mezzanine layout; one double bed downstairs and a single bed upstairs. The room was compact but cozy and warm, with a window overlooking the street. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and well-maintained. However, the shower space is quite small, which might be a concern if you're claustrophobic. The room is equipped with essentials like air conditioning, a TV, hairdryer, and more.
A simple self-serve breakfast is available, offering croissants, cereal, milk, juice, and coffee in a small but functional dining area.
What we appreciated the most was the unbeatable walkability. Everything we needed. From metro stations, restaurants, and gelato shops to souvenir stores and a nearby Carrefour supermarket was just steps away.
Overall, Hotel Panda is a great choice if you’re looking for a well-located, clean, and convenient base for exploring Rome on foot.
