While this hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the main town square in old Novy Sacz it is located on a bluff overlooking the river and the country side beyond. The place is in a pretty quiet location with little traffic. There is an old and a new part to the hotel. The rooms in the new part have modern bathrooms, air conditioning and flat screen tv's. There is also a small fridge and a few drinks (water, beer) in the room. The rooms in the back and rooms overlooking the terrace have a nice view. The staff is friendly but only the young folks speak some English so it can be a bit trying to pin down information. They have proprietary parking in the back for Zloty25 a day (about $4) that you enter through a gate to the right side of the hotel. Someone on the insise will have to open it for you. WiFi was available in oublic areas and the room but it was quite slow, even for web browsing. Breakfast was included in the room rate. Once you get over the instant coffee which seems to be obligatory in Eastern European hotels, the buffet is actually quite decent ( why they have a high end €1,000 plus Italian coffee maker on the counter but do not use it, will forever remain a mystery). There was ham, cheese, some sort of head cheese, herring in sauce and the usual marmelades/butter. A bread basket with different breads awaits on the table. They also offer you a choice of ether scrambled eggs or vienna sausage as a hot dish option. Room rates are quite reasonable and this is a nice comfortable option when staying in Novy Sacz.
