The location was great, right next to a park and easy to reach by bus - the stop is right in front of the hotel. The view from the balcony was pleasant, and the bed was really comfortable.
We had an issue where the lights at the room entrance would not turn off, making it impossible to sleep. When we informed reception, someone came to check and confirmed the problem, but initially suggested we sleep in those conditions until it could be fixed in the morning, as the hotel was supposedly fully booked.
The receptionist said he would check and call us back, but we preferred to follow up with him in person downstairs. Thankfully, there was still a room available, so we were able to move and finally had a peaceful night’s sleep.
However, the new room had a few minor issues. The kettle didn’t work, so we had to retrieve the one from our old room. The sink tap was leaking, and the showerhead was nearly detached due to wear and tear.
One thing to note is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms, only a standing fan. Luckily, the proximity to the park helped keep the room somewhat cool at night with the window open.
