Hôtel Parc et Lac

To be honest, the hotel itself is pretty old and run down. The laminate flooring is peeling probably from water seepage from the toilet and wet floors. A portable aircon is provided but the mouldy smell coming out from it was unbearable so we switched it off. The plus sides are the great view of the lake. We din have a lake view balcony but just go across the road to the pier area for the wonderful sunset view. Location is also good, near to the train station. As others advised, take the elevator down near the Irish pub instead of the stairs. It's within walking distance to shops and pubs and groceries.

We had a good experience in general. The hotel is located 4 min from a train station and in front of the boat station. A nice receptionist has allowed us to check in earlier the usual time. Our double economic room was a bit small but had a nice lake view with almost everything needed: TV, hair dryer, shampoo, towels. What I did not like: 1) really bad WiFi connection, we could not watch anything online and only had access to messengers and social media; 2) a bottle of water as a compliment; 3) the bathroom is claustrophobic as a mobile box, not a full normal room, more as an "Ibis" hotel style bathroom.

The room door was so difficult to open. Both times when we returned to the room, we needed help to open it. Room wooden floor is in great need of refurbishment - badly scratched and 1 square was missing. Tripped over it. Hotel was in a great location and close to public transport plus eating places

Good points|1. Excellent location, much better than other more expensive ones|2. 20 meters from the Christmas market, cross the zebra lines and you will be there|3. Lake is also equally close by|4. Balcony faces lake and at 5pm,6pm and 7pm you can see santa on his sleigh|5. Good reception staff and breakfast arrangement|6. Spacious washroom and tiny well organised room||Things to improve, if possible|1. Because there is no kitchen they have just few items for the croissant, which is not bad. They don't hide this information so I appreciate their honesty. However, they may add just few items such as fresh breads, donuts, omelette, bacon etc|2. Room was bit small, okay for a couple. We had a 4 year old so an extra cot took some space 😂 not bad but can be improved at the price offered|3. Hotel doors etc are bit vintage, good in working condition but can be improved to make less sound, modern doors, not a must have but nice if they consider.|Over all excellent

Had a lake view room with balcony, comfortable beds with plenty of pillows, kettle, good range of British channels on the TV, sizable bathroom, everything worked. Helpful receptionist organized breakfast, which suited us well, and the excellent Montreux card offering free transport across the Montreux area, from the trolleybus stop a few metres away, and the main station less than 5 minutes walk. Also a fine-looking building!

The lights were flickering and very dim. The color of room was black and unpleasant. |Cheap breakfast and not suggest to try. Reception lady like to speak France and not very nice. Location was good and you can go everywhere easily. Very close to Freddie Mercury statue and Queen Studio.

Really liked this place even though it was a bit dated. The furniture could use an update, but I still give it five stars. The place is as clean as you can ask for and the receptionist is not only super helpful, but has a great sense of humor and a smile for everybody who comes in. The location is central to everything and if you are lucky enough to get a lake view room, the view is amazing. For sure worth the price.

Stayed at the Hotel Parc & Lac in September for 5 nights and had a great stay. Front Desk Manager was very kind and friendly and having three beds for 1 adult and 2 kids was a dream. Only compliant was they took our AC machine the last night and us north americans found it to be too loud outside to sleep with the window open. Beds were comfy, lots of towels. Great stay overall
