Our room had a small balcony overlooking the lake, which was just perfect. Room and bathroom were small but neat and clean.|Receptionist was exuberant and extremely friendly. Quite a character, who wanted you to have a great time. Parking on the street was metered and that worked fine for us as we got in around 4pm and left at 8. Good reasonably priced restaurants nearby and lovely to be able to stroll along the lake. Hotel is in the best position.

WOW where do I start! This hotel was such a great find. Booked a few months ago, it was the best price I could find (cheapest 😉) I knew we would be out all day exploring, didn't want to pay a fortune for somewhere to sleep. Easy to find, short walk from Station. Pleasant lady checked us in on reception. The hotel is an old quaint, historical building which I loved, including the lift, which although modernised, you could imagine back in the day it would have been an old brass cage contraption. Room was on 2nd floor, at the back, very clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable, with the bed linen being fantastic quality and the pillows were the comfiest I have put my head on for a very long time (trying to find similar to buy now) not slept so well in ages. The shower pressure was brilliant and piping hot water at all times. Due to some early starts, we only had breakfast twice out of the 5 days (breakfast available from 7am) For 11 Swiss Francs, you seriously can't complain, it is continental, help yourself to as much as you want. Yes there are no meats or sliced cheese, but remember you are only paying 11 Swiss Francs. There were boiled eggs, good selection of cereals, breads, croissants and my favourite, pancakes with maple syrup. Location is right on the front, 2 minute walk from the 201 Bus Stop, short walk to Freddy Mercury statue and also the Casino that houses the Queen Studio Experience. Plugs in the room are of course Swiss, but my European 2 pin plug worked, also USB socket in the lamp shelf by the bed. Would I stay again? 100%. I read all the reviews before booking and was hesitant, but managed to read through the negative ones, bookec the cheapest price hotel but wanted the Ritz in return. I am a UK travel agent, I always say you get what you pay for, on this time, it exceeded expectations 😊 Recommendation try the Au Parc Pizzeria next doors, great pizzas and servicd.

Location perfect, staff perfect, room perfect although beds a bit harder than “a firm mattress” European Pillows hard to get used to. I found lighting a bit dim. Reception could not have been more helpful, the gentleman was outstanding. Great value for money. There was no fridge so we left our yoghurt on the balcony overnight, which worked. As we were struggling with our luggage after emerging from the station a helpful man indicated a public elevator to the street down instead of the stairs. You cross the road and follow the blue line and there it is. The hotel is a mere 5 minute walk from the elevator.

Excellent excellent location. Great view , Atleast from the lake side rooms. I thank you for giving me the lake side room. Though small , it was well equipped and clean. The rates are also not bad as per Swiss standards.

There was construction all day and sometimes past 9:00 pm, so I couldn’t rest during the day at the hotel, but I was not given notice about that. The fan in the bathroom only worked for ten seconds at a time, the lamp in the ceiling jiggled constantly due to the construction, the safe in the room needed a key but I don’t have one until the day I decided to leave, the breakfast was cheap, etc. I had to find another hotel☹️. There were apologies but honestly, to have paid full fees for those two nights was not worth it. I would have liked notice or been given a discount. Not cool. Hopefully it will be better after the work is finished!

Slightly funky hotel with spectactular views of Lake Geneva and the Montreux promenade. Generally clean and comfortable with a large room. Fun to sit on the balcony in the evening.

Yelp
Stayed for one night in September since the Golden Pass train route ended in Montreux, and the Chocolate train we were taking the next day was starting in Montreux. The Pros: 1. Rooms are clean and look pretty modern 2. Right outside the lake. We opted for a lake view over the garden view, and it was only $10 more. It was definitely $10 well spent because there are these door/huge windows that open up and you can look out 3. Shower is pretty big, considering the size of the bathroom 4. 10-minute walk to the train station 5. 2-minute walk to the Freddie Mercury statue 6. Chillon Castle is a 10-minute bus ride away, and you get a free bus pass when you stay at hotels in Montreux 7. Plenty of restaurants nearby The Cons: 1. Bathroom overall is small 2. Air conditioning is loud 3. I accidentally went to the wrong room, and my key card worked. Who knows how many people had access to our room Tip - not sure what happens if you need to check in past 10 pm because after that point, you need a code to get through the front gate, and no one is manning the reception desk.

Yelp
This hotel is ideal for anyone who's traveling through as it is really close to the train station and generally right in the middle of everything. Located right across the lake, the view is very nice (if you get the right room). There's nothing 'wrong' with this hotel, it's very modern and clean, but what it lacked for me was charm and personality. Some of the rooms are also quite dark and small. What really bothered me were the bathroom sinks... they have some sort of a system that only allows a tiny amount of water to come through, and every time you turned it on, it took a minute or even longer for the water to get warm. All in all a good hotel for a short stay, but it wouldn't be a place I would spend a week at. I prefer the Hotel Helvétie a little further down the street.
