Excellent housekeeping, desk and kitchen staff. Single room is smaller than a jail cell and sparse in content. I switched to a larger and excellent room. Breakfast very good. Shower flooded bathroom floor. The beds were horribly soft, and there was no back support at all. Delightful lobby sitting area. You need to be able to walk uphill to the hotel and up the stairs to your room. Very nice looking hotel.

Very nice hotel in a great location, quiet next to the park, but close to the city centre. Very friendly staff. Characterful well maintained old building. I was a little disappointed with my room as it was in the basement of the building across the street, and didn't have any view, but it was clean, well presented and perfectly adequate. I would recommend the hotel to others.

Clean, charming, easy to walk from this location, nice breakfast, cozy. Less amenities than you’d find in a large hotel but quiet, relaxing and more authentic. Like many European hotels, the bed is two twins pushed together, each with its own duvet.

Update: Hotel Park refunded me in full, even though we cancelled our stay after the cancellation deadline. Staff was very nice to work with. If Hotel Park was billed as a hostel, I would have been satisfied. However, I thought I was booking an “upscale hotel” at an upscale hotel price. There is no elevator, and my room was on the 4th floor with a spiral staircase, challenging to navigate with luggage. It’s basically a finished attic with dormers ceilings so you will hit your head if you are at least 5’4”. The throw pillows on the bed were pilled and tattered. Narrowest shower I have ever seen. No washcloth, only bath towel and hand towel. The final straw for me was that there is only one nightstand, no room for a second nightstand or the bathroom would be blocked. We left and stayed in a different hotel.

This is a lovely historic hotel and as such, there is a narrow winding staircase to the rooms that may not suit some with mobility issues or large suitcases. Also with older hotels, bathroom is very small. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly, hard working staff and great breakfast. The city centre is about a 15 minute walk away.

Small hotel with charm and character in excellent location close the the Grieg Center. We stayed in Room No.21 which was very warm, the temperature could not be controlled effectively. Breakfast was delightful, but the space is limited and long queue can be formed in the busy mornings.

greetings,||I recently stayed at the park hotel in Bergen for a three night stay in may 2025.||The hotel is composed of two buildings (across the street from each other).||The 'main' building is the white building that you see on all pictures, our room was in the green building across the street - not an issue at all.||The white building is where the breakfast room is located as well as the front desk.||We had a corner room on the first floor which was great with large windows on both walls. The room was immaculate and the bed very comfy.||The room had a nice desk, mini fridge, couch and seats around a coffee table and we had a TV in the room (we didn't use it).||The bathroom is minimalist - as everywhere in Scandinavia - but totally clean and functional.||Your room key allows you to open front doors to both buildings (and your room obviously).||The breakfast was included with the room rate. The breakfast room (in the white building) is nicely decorated with art work but a bit small and cramped (people lining up to pick up food) - which is normal in a way as everyone shows up around the same time - if you want to avoid the rush hour, go early ~ 6h30. ||The breakfast buffet was very nice with plenty of home made products and healthy stuff.||This is a small family run hotel and it is very beautifully decorated, the staff is very nice and helpful.||Please note that there was no A/C in the room - i don't know if this can be an issue during the summer months.||Both large windows can be opened to provide some fresh air in the room - only caveat is it can get noisy in the evening or during the night - you are close by the university campus - so before you go to bed close the windows to avoid the occasional noise nuisance in the middle of the night. (we didn't do this on our first night and we were woken up in the middle of the night by some people walking on the street coming back from bars and being a bit 'loud'.)||The hotel is pricey (but you are in Bergen .. no bargains there) but worth it.||It's located in a very nice neighbourhood, rather quiet compared to the main sites in the old town so if you close the windows, you will get good sleep quality.||Even if the hotel is outside the main area - old town - this is not an issue, as the main sites (old town, bryggen, funicular, forteress, kode museums) are all reachable by walk. (15 to 30 minutes) at most. ||If you come and go to the airport using the tramway - i suggest you use the nonnester stop - then you just have to walk up the hill on stromgaten street and you get directly to the hotel. (uphill from the tram stop to the hotel).||using the 'closest' recommended stop - nygard can get very confusing to get to the hotel when you arrive because you walk partly through the university campus to get to the hotel (despite google maps - trust me it gets confusing and you have to haul luggage thru stairs, etc..).||Bergen is a great city to visit - compact and enjoyable, lots of small streets to explore - just be prepared to walk a lot and it is quite hilly (surprisingly) but very nice - recommended.||Enjoy

A bit disappointed! Overall top marks if it was a B and B. The room and the dining area were cramped, especially the bathroom which was 'one in/ one out'. Breakfast was reasonable, but limited for hot food.

Yelp
A lovely little Historic European hotel situated at the top of a steep incline (the hotel website warns you of this situation). I stayed here briefly because of a long layover on an intended trip elsewhere. It was worth the money. The room although small was comfortable, sunny (which made it a bit warm), and quiet. They do warn you about the thin walls (they're circa 1890) and provide free earplugs. The bathroom was clean and sparse. Only a hair dryer, soap, and shampoo are provided. If you go downstairs there is a kitchen that serves breakfast from 6:30-10. They also serve coffee and tea and have plentiful brownies which are accompanied by a recipe for you to take home. Unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy this breakfast but instead they provided a catered meal for me at the absurd time I was to get up and go down to the bus stop to take the flybussen to the airport. The real tourist areas including the fish market and the funicular are only a 20 minute stroll away through the lush green streets of Bergen. I'd stay here again.
