Nice old manor converted to a hotel. Pretty rooms. The staff were very friendly and the older gentleman was exceptional! The only complaint was the price of fish and chips, water, and a beer was 50+ dollars. But I saw high prices like that all over Switzerland. They had installed a lift to get upstairs. There is no AC; the windows do open

Lovely quirky little hotel in a good position for visiting the Rheinfall and other local attractions, and also 5 mins walk from the train station. Very helpful and friendly staff. Brilliant breakfast. No Aircon, but highly recommended out of peak summertime.

Great place for us to stay our last 2 days for our Honeymoon. The food and service were great. The breakfast was perfect. So much food!

This place has so much character, charm, and you can feel the history. I like that the owner has kept the place from its old times, but it doesn’t feel dusty at all. Breakfast was grant, and the dining room is stunning!

Wonderful find as recommended by Mme Muller Beck who runs a lovely cafe in the old town. The rooms are beautiful with views of the Rhine fall and very spacious. Large comfortable double beds large beau-fils bathroom and an anti room for breakfast overlooking the view. |The dinner was excellent with super choices and service. |Very highly recommended.

Stayed here to start out a bike trip. Uphill from the train station to this old villa with lots of character. Lovely staff who greeted us and served us at dinner. Met Max who has been part of this hotel for a long time...charming man. Dinner was very good as was breakfast, served in their dining room and winter garden...lovely with the sun coming in. Small bar area but very comfy. Room was on the top floor (there is an elevator) and wasn't big but adequately equipped. Bathroom was tiny. Very clean.||Fairly close to the Rhine Falls...we walked (about 40 minutes) but you can take a train or bus as well...worth it if you're in the area and it's a nice day.

Wonderful historic hotel. Great service and wonderful breakfast experience. Our room was comfortable but needed some cosmetic repairs.

This hotel was wonderful! Our whole family was able to stay very comfortably in the room with two twin beds and one queen bed. The room was absolutely beautiful and had a lot of wonderful character. The bathtub in the bathroom was also a favorite. Breakfast was amazing, and our server Maria was very kind.

Yelp
WOW! I have to say that the hotel's website does not do it justice. This spot is absolutely wonderful with excellent service and also a divine bar and restaurant. I visited here recently for two nights and lucked out in the amazing huge room on the second floor (I'm not sure of it's name, but it has a breakfast nook and a balcony along with a massive room and bathroom!). The architecture was so unique and my only complaint was that I would have liked a bit more light as things can get a bit dark in the winter in Switzerland and I love light. The bathroom was enormous and about 3x the size of my bathroom at home. it had a little sitting area which was wonderful and great light for makeup application. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bedroom was really comfortable with multiple seating areas including a couch and coffee table (fresh fruit - nice touch!) and a really comfortable and large bed. Two flat screens didn't hurt, either. As a group, we had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was superb! I had veal and it was literally melt in your mouth delicious and super flavorful and lovely. I never order veal, but if it all tasted like this, I could eat it every day. Dessert was a sorbet and chocolate mousse with Grand Marnier. OH! It was heavenly. So wonderful. This was literally one of the best meals I've ever eaten...and...considering I have 700-ish reviews on yelp, that's a lot of meals! The owner is super nice and gracious and helpful. I had a simply lovely time. Breakfast is in a beautiful room and consists of a great bread basket, meat and cheese and fruit (and if you want eggs, just ask!). All is wonderful (don't forget to order orange juice either...fresh!). Definitely worth a stop - it's a lovely hotel in a lovely little town and not very far from Zurich if you want somewhere slightly off the beaten path.
