Hôtel Particulier Ascott

An absolute delight. Guardian recommended, located in the beautiful St Saint-Servan district of Saint Malo. An historical "Grande Maison", with individually decorated rooms. We had three rooms on the first floor, with one having a balcony to the front. Saint-Servan is a very quiet residential area, with excellent restaurants and local artisan shops. It takes approx. 30 ins to walk to Saint Malo, and taxi's are easily available.|The owners, Emmanuel and his wife are a charming couple, who cannot do enough for their guests. Breakfast should not be missed, with a wonderful selection of local produce and home baking.|There is parking, and while the front gates are narrow, if you have a wider car there is ample street parking to the front of the hotel.

Sadly the hotel or rather guest house needs to be updated - the rooms need decorating, avoiding the brown tones - we had stayed quite few years ago, it was pleasant but the years have taken its toll - we were in the garden room outside entrance in what I can describe as a after thought room use any space available - it was cold both bedroom & bathroom over looked - it was very small - chipboard built in doorway to en-suite & built in wardrobe which was DIY- the headboard again chipboard surround with crude Velcro fabric headboard bright lights above bed as no sockets by bed ! So at night you were dazed by over bright light if needing toilet - the bathroom tired shower slow to come hot - bed linen towels need replacing as thin well used! No coffee machine or milk in room - Yes the entrance to main house is grand & breakfast served in bright room but the bedrooms need attention ! |We commented that the commodore cabin on ferry was more comfortable & bedding towels far better! |The breakfast was not of quality one expects €14 cheap ham plastic cheese tiny croissants coffee was ok |We will not be returning for cost sadly as it is convenient and in quiet area

From the the moment we arrived until we left, Emmanuel and his lovely wife could not do enough for us. The room was a good size and very clean with good coffee/tea facilities and extra supplies offered throughout the day. They welcomed our Vizla Bella without any hesitation. The traditional French breakfast was very fresh. We plan to return soon.

Lovely stay near Saint Malo intra-muros. We stayed here for the first time for one night, and what a beautiful surprise. The hotel is quite small, and the rooms are not big either, but the decor is very modern and feels much more luxurious than 3-star. The room smelt lovely from the moment we opened the door. The staff is so lovely, friendly and very accommodating. We booked the stay with breakfast, and I am so glad we did. It felt like we were having breakfast at a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was brought to our table by a lovely lady, and there was plenty of food for the 2 of us. We had different types of bread, jam, crepes, fruit, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. Definitely worth it! The entrance to the hotel is very narrow for cars, but parking is free, and there is more parking on the main road, which is also free. Can't fault it. I have been in Saint Malo many times, but this was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. From the staff friendliness, to the hotel itself. It felt like we were treated as royalty in a beautiful French chateau. Thank you, I look forward to staying here again!

Has a wonderful stay. Firstly the staff at this hotel are amazing. Prior to staying they were so helpful with ensuring we had the relevant information to meet visa requirements for my partner. Whilst we stayed at the hotel, we were welcomed so warmly on arrival and every morning. No request was too much and they genuinely were so kind and accommodating to us and all the other guests from what we observed.||The breakfast is amazing and well worth booking. We were treated to a large coffee, hot chocolate or tea, along with a glass of fresh orange juice. We also had baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolate, chocolate bread, cheese and meats, Breton flan, crepes and a selection of spreads, jams and curds. The food felt so fresh and tasty, honestly got hungry thinking about it whilst writing the review!||The room was well decorated and large enough to fit 4 bags in it. It was kept spotlessly. The bathroom was spacious and large enough that we could both get ready at the same time.||The hotel is around 20/40 minute walk from the old town of St Malo or a 5/10 minute drive. The driveway is large enough to fit 6 cars in, but there are spaces outside the hotel. The street feels safe and I never once had any concerns about leaving my car there. ||Thank you again to Helene and the rest of the team. You made our stay very enjoyable and if/when we return to St Malo, we know where we would be staying.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, room was stunning, we were only meant to be there one night but the whole experience of being welcomed in and the beautiful room made us decide to stay another night!. Breakfast is a must, delicious breads and pastries, refillable coffee and orange juice that's squeezed fresh that morning ,han and cheese and little pots of jams and honeys. Best place to stay in in this area! The owners were so kind and friendly too, a perfect stay in a perfect hotel 😀

Just checked into this adorable little hotel before heading back home on the ferry. Loving the cosy vibes here! It's a quaint little hotel, perfectly styled and finished to a high standard. ||The rooms were so nice! So light and airy, with the most amazing amenities like tea, coffee, and bottled water. 😍✨ and when we arrived in our cosy room we found on the bed - two adorable local sweets! 🍬🍬 And to top it off, there is a welcome card with the Wifi password. Could not wait to indulge in those treats while staying connected! 🌐💕 ||The breakfast was sooo French France! 🇫🇷😍 I indulged in some deliciously fresh breads, mouthwatering pastries, and the juiciest orange juice ever! 🥐🍊||We had the most amazing experience at this place, with the most polite host ever! 😍🙌 Who went above and beyond. ||The hotel is located around 25min walk from the old town! The sea front walk is seriously the most amazing stroll ever! It is like walking in a dreamy paradise. Sooo lovely! 😍🌊 Such an easy-peasy trail with barely any hills! 🌿✨ So perfect for a late spring walk.
