Hôtel Pas de Calais (Paris, Île-de-France) 5 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set in the iconic Left Bank neighborhood of Saint Germain des Pres, and family-owned for a hundred years, the Hôtel Pas de Calais achieves something a lot of hotels can’t, packing a ton of character and some very respectable comforts into a Parisian-sized package in a vibrant, central location. The interiors are not just stylish but varied as well, some rooms full of saturated colors, others more sedate, all marrying classic architecture with contemporary design and up-to-date boutique-hotel details like Clarins bath products. In typical local tradition, you’ll have to look outside for a proper restaurant — not far outside, though, as the Café de Louise, right next door, offers its menu via room service." - Tablet Hotels

Many thanks to the gracious staff for such an enjoyable stay. Everyone was kind and patient. The hotel has many wonderful architectural details from the atrium, to the stained glass in the stairway to our bathroom door! The rooms are ample in size and well decorated. The family rooms are especially nice having an outer door with our two rooms within. Having a bar in the hotel was a nice addition and breakfast was delightful under the atrium. The omelet was beautiful!

Adorable hotel in the best location. I’m traveling solo and was able to walk to all the wonderful shops in the neighborhood and all the museums and tourist sites right across the Seine. I felt completely safe walking everywhere! The highlight was breakfast in the beautiful light filled atrium - Rabea greeted me with a warm smile and served me the most delicious tea, eggs and baguettes each morning. She remembered my preferences and made me feel at home. The breakfast, served on beautiful matching china, really was lovely. My room was decorated impeccably with beautiful bedding and personal touches. I will be back again.

Beautiful hotel in a central location for visitors - great spot for walking to many of the Paris highlights. On a quiet side street, rooms have a/c and a small fridge. Luxurious bedding and towels, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful sitting area for breakfast or an evening drink. Definitely a gem and worth checking out.

Our family of four, including our two kids (4 and 7) loved our stay here! Friendly staff, great location, and the rooms were darling! The elevator is very small, but worked well for luggage. The spiral staircase was a fun way to add some exercise, as we were on 4th floor. The rooms have air conditioning—which we greatly appreciated—and the connecting rooms they offer were perfect for us. The soap was lovely too. All in all, wonderful!

Google
Fantastic location for walking to many of the ‘must do’ sites as well as food, shopping, the Seine and parks. On a small street off the main road so rooms were quiet (bonus) and nicely appointed - a/c in Paris is a treat! The staff were consistently friendly and patient, breakfast and coffee were delicious and the eating area is cute and comfy.

This was our first stay in Paris and Hotel Pas de Calais made it all the more special. The service was impeccable. Before we even arrived, they promptly answered every question and email we had - which was a great sign. The breakfast was delicious. You could order your eggs the way you wanted, and the coffee, pastries and bread were outstanding. The room was fantastic - the bathroom and shower were a bit small but traditional French accommodations. The location was absolutely perfect! We were close to shopping, dining, and many favorite attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel for your stay and would most definitely stay there again.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Did a ton of research and knew I needed space for 3-4 people but didn’t want everyone staying in separate rooms, so their Family Room (connecting option) worked perfectly. I felt the rooms were spacious for European standards, quiet, and housekeeping was so timely and well done. AC worked great and water pressure just right.||Can’t beat the location — on a quiet street in St Germain but literally walking down our block drops you on the middle of everything vibey in the area.||We did the breakfast one day and it was good! Lobby was also inviting and loved the fact they always had water available to grab a drink on our way in or out. Can’t wait to return :-)

Our family of four enjoyed our stay here! Friendly staff, great location, and the rooms were darling. Elevator is TINY. Spiral stairwell was a fun way to add some exercise into the day. The rooms had air conditioning which we greatly appreciated! The connecting rooms they offer were perfect for us. All in all, a great place to stay!

Yelp
They had the smallest elevator that could exist, and the rooms were small. The small rooms were not unexpected, even though it was a 4 star hotel. They completely made up for it when it comes to service. They knew who we were quickly. They helped out where they could and arranged excellent transport to the airport at 4am. The lobby is comfortable, and the area where they serve food was a nice place to eat food we picked up and needed a place to eat. My son used the bar and had nothing but good to say about the person working it that night. It's quiet, and you can't ask for a better location. It's near the Metro, Busses, nice places to eat, and let's be honest. It doesn't get better than this section of St Germain de Pres. I'd come back in a second.

Yelp
This is the absolute best hotel stay I've ever experienced in Paris! My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Pas de Calais. The staff is positively lovely and make you feel so very welcome from the minute you arrive. There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby but I highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel as it was the most peaceful and tasty way to begin a day of sightseeing in Paris. I would be remiss if I also didn't compliment the hotel on how nice it was to have a nightcap from the bar in the lobby area before heading upstairs to a very comfortable room. The hotel location is perfect. We walked to all the sites from this hotel and took the metro several times. We used the Saint Germain metro station which was 2 blocks away (3-5 min walk). Admittedly, I prefer to walk around Paris and I walked at least one-way to all the sites from this perfectly located hotel. My family of five enjoyed the family rooms which were two adjoining standard rooms. I decided to book a suite for my wife and I for the last two nights of our stay and I was so impressed with how beautiful the suites are in this hotel. This was my third visit to Paris and first stay at Hotel Pas de Calais. I will be returning to this hotel for my next visit. I cannot recommend a better place to make your home while you are in Paris. Many thanks to Vanessa and the whole team at Hotel Pas de Calais who were such great hosts for our family trip. You all represent the epitome of hospitality. O. Hamid & family

Yelp
A delightful boutique hotel -- great location, wonderful service, and delicious breakfast. I felt sad to leave such a caring and dedicated team. I enjoyed being able to rest in a place where the guests receive such good care, and the beds were amazing.

Yelp
They advertise 24/7 reception. We contacted them via email to inquire about their services and they just blew off our request. Inasmuch as location, location, location & the hotel property specifically are extremely important so is service. In fact, to us personally, service is perhaps even more important than the former criteria. And if a hotel's personnel could care less about a prospective guest's queries then that is considered unprofessionalism to us. There are many other Paris hotels especially in the 6th-a district we are fond of and have stayed in many times over the years-so we will be looking to patronize those other hotels that actually appreciate us as prospective clients.

Yelp
Truly lovely boutique hotel with incredible staff, delicious breakfast and well appointed rooms meticulously cleaned. The location is perfect for hopping on 2 different metro stops or strolling the 6th Arr. You can order coffee or drinks anytime during the day. We will absolutely return!

Yelp
Great boutique hotel! It is perfectly located, near to everything, but quiet enough for a great night's sleep. The air conditioned rooms are lovely, the beds are comfortable and everything is immaculate. The bathrooms are modern and there is a refrigerator and 2 closets for your belongings. Kudos to Alexi, the hotel manager, and his staff. They were so helpful to us. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this gem. In a great section of Paris on the left bank just off Rue de St. Germain not too far from the D'Orsay museum. Near all the "high" end shops. Close to both the 4 and 12 metro lines. The hotel has an elevator and air conditioning. It serves a continental breakfast for a nominal fee. There are about 40 rooms in 4 floors. We had an American queen size bed. The room was not very large but adequate. It did lack a large closet and drawer space but we got by with the little closet and the few shelves. The hot water and pressure were great. Staff was amazing and oh so helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We got here and David at the desk was a super sweetheart. He recommended a spot for lunch while they prepared our room and held on to our luggage. The lobby is so unique with the wall of flowers and plants growing off from it. I partially felt like I was in a very pretty greenhouse sitting and eating in a screen patio but more modern and comfortable. We were given key fobs and the front desk would always hold on to your keys whenever you left as someone would always be there to give it to you so you can't lose or forget the keys to the room. The elevators are tiny per usual. We were up on the second floor. Our room was a little more spacious than the previous Paris hotel we stayed at in the beginning of our trip. The downside was probably no fridge or mini bar to keep our water cool. We also got the free continental breakfast which was nice. The only other complaint I would have was that we had intentionally left the do not disturb or clean sign on the door to our room and they still came to clean it anyways. So, I came into the room while they were cleaning and she and I were both pretty surprised to find each other.
