Even a very peaceful sweet small hypoallergenic dog sometimes working alongside front desk staff. The vibes of this place are emmaculate and beautiful. Very Costa Rican vibe beautiful gardens. Close to downtown shops & bars & beach all within walking distance.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel with our two kids for four days and it was pretty great. I am not a big fan of Tamarindo because it is a major tourist zone and the food is overpriced everywhere you go, but this hotel is an oasis within the city. The location is great, and the vibe is great. There is no shame in just chilling by the pool and skipping the over crowed beach. I must add, however, that this hotel gave out my wife's phone number to a random hotel guest that we did not know after we checked out. This person then messaged her with shady intentions. I'm not sure how easy it was for this person to con the hotel into giving him the number, but of course, there is no way it should have happened. It's a disappointing end to what was otherwise a great stay.

Stepping off the road and into the hotel makes for a nice contrast. The rooms were ok but some accessible electric outlets or USB ports would be nice. Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast was pleasant as was happy hour. There is some late night noise but that's just the sound of people having fun. Our room came with a bonus cat who manned our patio chair.

I recently stayed at Hotel Pasatiempo and I noticed a weird charge on my card once I got home. Contacted the hotel who told me someone gave them my room number and charged food and drinks to my card that way. They never checked the ID of the person that claimed my room number, the signature on the receipt is neither mine or the person who I was traveling with. They also claimed they tried contacting me (after I had left) but there were no messages left on my voicemail, WhatsApp, or email. I did notify my CC company who already reimbursed me but please be wary of this hotel! They are claiming their accounting will refund me but this was after a very lengthy WhatsApp conversation.

A jungle paradise next to Tamarindo's beach! We loved everything about our stay - the room was recently renovated with very good taste, the bed was massive and super comfy, and it was very clean. The staff was kind, approachable and knew how to make guests comfortable. We couldn't get enough of the breakfast burritos (best breakfast in Costa Rica!!) and we also had dinner a couple of times at their restaurant, it was also very good. The vegetation in the hotel makes it even more beautiful and allows spotting lots of wildlife.

Enjoyed our 4 nights here. Security at night & the chef made great meals out of our Tuna & Mahi , breakfast was always on time. Short walk away from the beach as well.

Wonderful hotel, the photos do not do this place justice it’s very very local to everywhere you need to be as well ||Room is exactly what you need clean and fresh.||Pool is wonderful and temp is great||Breakfast is a little meh but it’s breakfast so can’t complain and cheap in comparison to eating out!||Thoroughly recommended||Free parking in front of the hotel!

A beautiful, peaceful oasis with access to everything. We loved spending our days/evenings sitting by the pool or taking the quick walk to the beach for sunset. The food was so delicious as well.
