Hotel Passo San Gottardo

We were bikepacking from Milan through Switzerland, and the weather got really bad as we were approaching the Gotthard Pass, so we had to stay in this place until the snow stopped. The rooms were comfortable and nice, the food was tasty, and the prices were fair, but since our Croatian standard was much lower, we were in trouble. The best thing about this part of the trip was the nice lady at the reception—she tried really hard to help us with everything, understood our troubles, and offered us to stay in the guest house next to the hotel for a better price until the storm passed. Thanks to her, our journey went on without bigger troubles. I recommend! ❤️

They were very nice and accommodating. I wanted to use them on my hike but I got in an accident and had to leave before I could stay here. They let me cancel when I let them know I was on the next flight out of Switzerland to heal. I hope I get to come back here.

What could be expected from an old medieval Ospizia, at 2100m? Be prepared to be surprised from this 4* refuge in addition to the food and wonderful Ticino welcome?

A stunning hotel in beautiful surroundings. Rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great food served.

Only visited the restaurant. Great food, try the trout.

I stayed in the dorm with some friends, which is in a separate building close by. It was very clean and tidy. Hot water, nice restaurant to have dinner, and a very good breakfast. Perfect to explore the Gotthard region: hiking trail through the lakes highly recommended.
