Had a best time here including the easy walking distance to the sights and sounds of the old quarter of Aix. Quirky and very well-run. Classic views from 1st floor garden room. Comfortable bed with occasional cathedral bells! Excellent breakfast and coffee. We will return! Highly recommended.

This is a gem! The long entrance into reception is like Alice in Wonderland…kinda psychedelic 😀😵‍💫. Once inside the garden is such a respite from the bustling city. The Luxury street view room is good size and love the garden suite. Staff are great in every way. Warm and hospitable! We asked for assistance to allocate room due to mobility issue, it was granted with an email away. Sure it’s 2 stars without elevator and a few amenities, but hey…it great place! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

On the plus side the location really is great. If you want to save money, this place is a bargain for this area. The proprietor was exceptionally friendly and really helpful. Now for the not so good. The hallways are in bad shape and the rooms very spare. Think old dormitory rooms. Worst of all, the walls are paper thin! It was as if neighboring rooms were separated by newspaper! Not one decent night’s sleep. |Sorry - can’t recommend this hotel.

This is actually a hotel that has been here since 1972. It recently went throguh the renovation to bring it up today. The newy installed lawn from the garden makes huge different. All the rooms are small, yet tastfully done. The location is excellent, parking right next to hotel which makes it extremely convient for old town. Walking down the street is the old town. Many options for food and drinks day and night. I really enjoy it and would love to come back here again!

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We had a room opening onto the lovely garden with our own terrace space. The room was spacious and stylishly decorated. An interesting broken plan layout which worked well The bed was very comfortable and there was a large shower with monsoon head with plenty of hot water. Mini fridge in the room was a nice touch |The whole place had a considered, design conscious boutique feel to it - the staff were also really friendly and helpful.|Short stroll to the old town so nice to pop back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden sometimes. |We sorted our own breakfast as there's a good bakery nearby and it was nice to choose things and eat outside our room.|Wish there were more hotels like this at this price point. |

No idea why the poor reviews from others - we found it great for the price. Sure, the room itself (family size) was what one might expect for only a 2-star hotel: decor a bit dated, no coffee maker, etc. But the room and hotel as a whole were clean, and very conveniently located within walking distance to all the interesting parts of town. The breakfast served outside was fantastic and very good value. The hosts were polite and very helpful, suggesting excursions as well as driving directions for our onward journey. They even reached out a couple of days beforehand by SMS to check everything was OK. Parking was convenient with a multi-level deck on the corner of the block about 50m away from the front door. Overall excellent value!

The best part of staying at Hotel Paul is the courteous staff. They were so professional and actively sought to make my stay for comfortable. They provided a good breakfast with hot coffee. The room was clean and I felt right at home. Also, the hotel is very close to Old Town area of Aix, a short walk to the Cathedral, the open market, and numerous restaurants.

A charming hotel in the centre of Aix-en-Provence run by owner Viktor and his staff. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel very welcome. The bedrooms are very clean as were the huge bathrooms. | There is a comfortable sitting room with a bar. Breakfast is served outside in an attractive garden. Breakfast itself consisted of tea/coffee/chocolate/juice and a basket of various croissants jams and yoghurt.| Highly recommended this hotel and we will return. | Ann John and family.

Yelp
Horrible. Dirty hotel. Rude service. Run away from this hotel while u can. There are so many nice hotels around. Many much cheaper and closer to the center. Go to any of them
