First of all, let's get this out of the way - there is no pool, despite there being photos of one on this listing. The pool is still there, but it's now full of plants and fish. You're not going to get a swim.||As I understand it, this place closed down during COVID. Malaysia, like many places, struggled in those years and plenty places closed down and did not return.||In this case, the hotel could do with some TLC, but do not let that put you off. It's still decent value for what you are paying.|Our room was down the street in one of the converted shops. I say room; it was more of an apartment. Very old-fashioned but it was nice enough. There was a small kitchen with a fridge and water dispenser downstairs. Upstairs were two rooms, both with air-conditioning and fans. Well, not that hot as the hot water ran out quickly. It was fun though and the kids enjoyed it. ||Breakfast was nothing to write home about. It was passable but that's about it.||It's worth a stay here, certainly for the price and location, which is slightly away from the tourist sights but still walkable and remarkably quiet. I don't think I'd want to stay longer than the two nights we were there for though. If it weren't for the character of the place I'd rate it less.
